Good video Dave .. Love Whitby, always have a few trips every year. I was there last December on Stag do when the Krampus Festival was on .. that was pretty cool to see 👍

Looked absolutely packed. Some people must have put a lot of time and effort into their costumes. Was in Whitby third week in September. It’s still one of my favourite seaside towns.

21:22 the Stag is kind off the towns logo. It should have a rat on its back too. On my school uniform it’s had water under the stags feet. I believe it’s supposed to represent the stag being able to cross the river but the rat can’t so it’s helping it accross Great video mate, I live in Stockton now but am proud of where I’m from and hate the bad reception Hartlepool has but your view helps to show the good side of the town so thank you for that 👌

Another great vid Dave .. I didn’t know any of that military stuff existed there .. my brother Martyn lived in Pools for many years and probably didn’t know either. I used to work with John Darwin when I was in the Prison Service.. he was as bad a Prison Officer as he was a canoeist 😂 . I was on duty in the Orderly Office when the phone call came in saying he had gone missing.. We all just laughed and knew it was a scam straight away .. Proper dodge pot!!!

I was there last week in sept 2024 and it was boiling hot, I mean really hot, especially up at the Acropolis. Rhodes is such a stunning island.

Prices to fly Teesside to Amsterdam are insanely expensive. I would LOVE to have a weekend in Nederland but simply can’t afford it . P.s. please forgive spelling mistakes , I am writing in the dark and trying not to wake my wife ! 😀

The building with the name Mechanics Institute was a pub called that name in the late 80’s , sunk a few beers in there when I was younger . I don’t know if you can remember a school trip to Darlington station and there was a rocket train next to the sign you were looking at on the platform

I live in Darlington now Dave and for the record Tesco wasn’t closed, the opening is at the front. Also the various Darlington Yards off Skinnergate are worth checking out for various independent shops, cafes and bars etc. Quakerhouse Pub is a favourite of mine. Always bands playing there.

I came here yesterday, beautiful sunshine on a crisp clear day, The Cathedral looked amazing, you must take a castle tour guide opposite the cathedral if you haven’t, also truly magnificent

I’ve never been to the lake in Botton Village ( in Danby Dale, Esk Valley) but it looks lovely in google pics. It’s a bit of a secret place. Not sure about food, you might get a sandwich in Botton itself if not there’s always The Lion Inn at Blakey ( bar meal) BTW Thank you, I watch all your vids and always enjoy them.

I live a 10 minute xrive from the city and uts been so long since i've actually haf a proper walk around it. You forget how beautiful the places you take for granted every single day are. Definetly going down for a walk about soon

I was lucky enough to grow up in Durham, loads of history and a pretty good afternoon/night out too. The Angel Inn is a couple of doors up from the Holy Grale and the Shakespeare does a cracking pint, although it's quite tight once you have a few people in there.
