Had one of these in the mid to late 90s it was a Gtti, I think there was only four or five in Ireland at the time. Getting parts was a nightmare as they always sent me parts for the turbo diesel version. Loved the car ended up trading it in for an E30 BMW 316i, wish I had kept both cars now.

God I miss my G200..... $5000 on suspension. Poly everything adjustable coilovers sway bars, camber adjustment, blah. it'd LITERALLY run rings around older Porsche 911s on twisties. Motor? Just a Brett Middleton (he won several F2 championships in them befote moving onto WRXs) intake system. It sounded DA BOMB!!!! Oh, $7000 Alpine early 90s system (mix of speakers... 8 of them 😛)

Whats been done to the car . Is it the 1.3 4 cylinder engine.? How much power ? I got the gtti 3 cylinder cb80 engine just rebuilt the engine hard to find the parts thees days . Is your car 4wd

My G200 with HEAVILY modded poly urethane, coil over suspension, strut braces, blah blah, WAY better brake pads, untouched motor apart from a WICKED sounding air intake would LITERALLY run rings around an older Porsche 911 in mountain twisties. I'd loose him in the straights, but first two corners, I'd be on him. The LOOK on his face at being DONE by a fucking Daihatsu was better than winning Lotto.....😛 HIGHLY underrated cars. Trust me

Did you have any problems with the mounting of engine? I've seen 4efte swapped here in the Philippines but I never knew that you can fit 4age

the daihaitus charade was way to reliable and toyota had to merge with daihaitsu

May I ask what front suspension are you running? Not the factory trailing arms with the weak stabilizer right? :)
