Welcome to the Official TH-cam Channel of Dylan (Coach) Conway.
Dylan Conway is the owner of The Performance Club. An elite training facility based out of Melbourne, Australia. The Performance Club was started in 2016, shortly after Dylan was overlooked in the Australian Football League National Draft. Continuing to chase his goal of getting into the AFL system, Dylan played for 2 VFL teams as a semi-professional athlete, winning 2x VFL Premierships. During this time, Dylan continued to build a dream gym, putting focus on; community first and instilling belief into his members.
Dylan’s content is based around his love for fitness and the ability to push himself both mentally and physically to achieve enormous goals. You really need to decide, either talk us through you experience or play load music, you cannot IMO do both. It's a shame because I think you may have had some valuable into to impart.
Sub 5 is pretty fast and unless you're already relatively close to getting there, 12 weeks isn't enough time to drastically improve one mile time unless you have latent talent or no prior experience running. The one other exception is if you have a large aerobic base and just do some mile specific sharpening workouts... I guess that was me when I was 16--I went from 5:04 to 4:46. I think a sub 5 mile is overall an underrated accomplishment. It's not easy and it's not something most people can do without spending a long time training for it.

I felt that "Fuxx" scream from across the pond. I'm taking a break from marathon training to to a 5 minute mile goal this summer as older gent from states, you got it man. Obviously this might be your line of work, but with the added fanfare and social media hoopla, probably added pressure. You're probably there on a good, relaxed day.
About 15 seconds short. Most people don't realize just how challenging running at this speed is for 1.61km. My best is about 5:30 and I'm dead afterwards.
Don't stop doing what you're doing. You helped the lives of so many get easier, and we all appreciate the work you do. Thank you Coach 🫡

@@coachconway Not exactly true, 1 mile is 1609.34 meters. If you look at any sort of track meet that has a mile, they start 9 meters behind where the standard 1600m is. Still a great attempt to go sub 5 on your part though.

Shoot for the moon and you'll fall amongst the stars. Though the idiom is silly because the stars are much further away than the moon. That aside great stuff mate, just stumbled upon this and really enjoyed it, good onya for having a deadset crack, would have been easy to just step off the track when it looked like you weren't going to get there.
