I think old Haim was so pissed off at what Disney did to his baby AKA MMPR with its revision, that he stormed into Bob iger office's yelling "GIVE ME BACK POWER RANGERS NOW!" With a big suitcase of cash. And they were so happy to sign it back over to him because they were honestly embarrassed buy the brand and didn't know what to do with it. And I think this crossover at the time was just his way of slighting their era of Power Rangers.
