I appreciate the advice, but the info is not completely correct. Normal honey does not have bacteria. If honey removes water that bacteria need to survive than how can there be bacteria in the honey in the first place? The reason Manuka (medical) honey is used is because of a unique compound MGO which comes from the manuka plant that the bees pollinate. This plant is only native to a few regions in New Zealand and Australia. The MGO is what makes wounds heal faster, even manuka honey comes in different grades and you need a high grade with a high concentration of MGO to get the healing effects.
