I mean the man was nominated for Oscar for Hustle and Flow where he played wanna be rapper trying to survive in a rough hood. That should have been their cue for Empire. No one could have played Lucious like Terrence. No one.

I can relate to Kiki regarding once being judgmental on romantic relationships .. Took me a bit of growing up and experience, that in order to live fully and completely enjoy that relationship you have to allow yourself to be vulnerable. Unfortunately however being vulnerable means also being susceptible to pain because you're completely open and at that point you have very little control. So I used to be very controlled in relationships, very analytic, didn't allow myself to be vulnerable, so I might not have been played but I also didn't get to live and love as much as I could have and ultimately hey, life happens!

My biggest lessons in love has been that there are those people who you will love forever and it is okay. Romantic love (if you really loved someone) evolves into care. So even if you don't love the persona romantically anymore, a part of you always cares for their well-being.

Preach Taraj!!!!. I was raised in the hood around the same time that she was there. DC offered little to none opportunities for poor black families. The district of Columbia is still so divided. It is basically the haves and the have nots in DC. I am so proud of her for making it out of the hood. We need more women like her. Taraji never forgot when she came from. Thank you my sister. Please give back to the community, you know that they need help.
