@@2010EGM1 yes it is, the AIM lap timer (Solo 2 DL) reads the bikes ECU Data but my bike has limited functionality so I unfortunately can’t get many more data streams, like brake and suspension movement. I might add additional sensors at a later date but still learning about the data logging myself. Software wise, I use the AIM race studio to view the lap data and import that into race render for overlays over my insta360/gopro footage. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks for the comment, yes I have done that subconsciously for years and some people think I am hitting a boost or mode button, but as you you say it is just a hangover from road riding.

For telemetry data I use an AIM Solo 2 DL, you can se it on the let of the top yoke. Very accurate but a bit of a learning curve to get the data and then overlay on video footage. It was quiet as it was the first session of the weekend. I went out quite late and I was behind a guy that rode very slowly and then came in so most riders were half a lap round by the time my ‘sighting laps’ were done. I’d imagine that the faster ones in the group were catching me as I was also riding slowly and I was fighting sciatica for the weekend.

@@YordanHristooov I think that euro track days are a little faster than UK days but still a wide mix of abilities. You should be fine, just go at your own pace and ride smoothly and ride predictable lines so quicker riders can pass safely. It’s not racing so just have fun no matter how quick you are able to lap :)

Thanks buddy, yes brake input is possible. I am going to add this soon but need a brake pressure sensor added to my setup first. Track days are addictive and expensive but worth it :)

Yes pretty good, this was my first MSV day in a few years as I had a bad experience with one of their 'instructors' previously. No issues this time around other than rain for most of the day. Enjoy your day in July :)

Many thanks, get out there and have a go ;) It’s addictive but improves your riding. I am riding a 2013 Suzuki GSXR 1000 in this video. In terms of mirrors, you can leave them on, but you are advised to tape them up to avoid smashed glass on track and also to not focus on anything behind you, track riding is about looking forward. I overlay the data with RaceRender 3, using the video footage from GoPro cameras and data from my laptimer.

It’s a GoPro Max camera and a SpeedAngle v1 LapTimer which was great but no longer use, as I moved to Aim Solo 2.

Too much neutral throttle. Should be either on the throttle or on the brakes, far too much coasting sort that out and you’ll cut a lot from your time, & trust your tyres more.

The lowest left button is to cancel indicators / turn signals. I was a road rider for many years and developed a bad habit of cancelling my turn signals constantly to not give false information to other road users. I don't even realise i am doing it now and cant seem to stop it! I wish it was there was a more fun explanation like a boost button but sadly not!

Thanks for your comment. It’s a GoPro Max 360 camera, mounted on the fork yolks. No gimbal, just 360 levelling.

Get out there and enjoy it, no cars, road furniture or sped cameras. Just lots of leather clad petrolheads all together.

Thanks, it’s a GoPro Max on the front and a 10 on the rear. The GPS is coming from the lap timer and I merge the data and video together using Race Render.

Just started myself but I'm scared in case I spend too much money. So at the moment I'm running Michelin Road 6 tyres Which probably wont. last long. How do you mount the cam

@@waynebanthorpe it is an expensive hobby and costs are increasing all the time sadly. But you can have fun on any bike and any tyre. I use Ultimateaddons fork stem mount for the front camera

I have a terrible habit of cancelling my indicators from the years of road riding, it has always been a big fear of giving a car driver a false signal so it seems to be routed in my brain somewhere and I do it without even thinking about. It is only when I watch the footage back, I see how much I am fiddling! Thanks for the comment 😉

Yes I have rear footage, what bike were you on and was it Session 5? Camera wise I use a GoPro Max, GoPro 10 (both have GPS, but I also have a lap timer) and I also have a GoPro Session 4.

@@reescarpentry1 better than I expected, they are nice gang and pretty relaxed. It was very quiet though, there was only 6 per group (3 groups).

@@w0ffle there was only 30 in total on the Friday in pembrey don’t think Saturday was that busy either because they did 2 groups. I’ll try and get to the next one in llandow

:D No worries, I was in pain at that point and could hear some faster guys coming up so I just moved over and sulked! I have a cracked rib or two, it is painful but healing up, it flipping hurts though!

it is an Speedangle sold in the UK by R&G but there is a newer model available now (Apex). It has been rock solid and very easy to use but I am tempted to try an AIM Solo 2.

Where was the camera mounted?

@@LoneWolf_314 No worries, thanks buddy. Yeah I have done my time in the novice but only on a handful of tracks. I still haven't tried the technical tracks like Caldwell or Oulton Park.
