Rather have clutch head screws than Philip. Have old original set of bits they fit tight, found cheap Chinese bits loose an was able to snap one. It appears that GM used them when they needed a heavy duty countersink bolt. They were still using them in 1962 maybe latter. Had to pull wiper motor, it used them.
Windows are all problematic from that era. Latches too. Im contemplating a conversion to electric, pt cruiser as a donor. Holee! You know its serious when you fire up the stick welder.
Hate to be different but when I worked for CAT was taught never to fill filter. That's right from Caterpillar school in Peoria. They made a point to never put anything in filter be it eng oil, hydraulic oil and diesel fuel filters. There rational was the remaining oil left on surfaces was sufficient enough and by introducing anything in filter would circulate unfiltered oil into eng. Used to scare the $hit out of me but never had a failure doing it there way. Only other thing recommended eng be warm during oil change.
They blew up from lack of maintenance and being used in wrong application. Have also replaced a few that grenaded, wrong oil, low oil, no service records.. had a couple that I rolled in rod and main bearings
true its always good to fill your new filter , what i do too i stick a magnet to the screw so all metal dirt stays on it .A nice day to be working in the garrage lots of rain here😆
Just a question, wouldn't there be a problem if there's metal ? A quality filter should catch it before going into eng. Did a lot of industrial equipment service in my time found it better to pull oil sample every once in awhile along with filter paper inspection
sure the filter does most of the job ,but still the lower screw where you change the oil i always find a small amount of metal dust on the magnet . So for me its better with than without
The wife's 03 F150 has 260,000 and still going strong. When my 96 Dodge RAM ended up to rusted to keep going i looked at new and almost new trucks and couldn't believe how bad they are so i bought the 64 F100. At least it has good bones.
Hello Joe I just came across your post. We have texted each other on Bad Chad Chat. You are a wealth of information. Nice to see you. My name is Matt/Indiana. Thanks for sharing and communicating. Take care.
My uncle lived across the street from a rug warehouse. I used to hit their dumpster for rug. Used to find some nice brand new carpet remnants for old trucks. Free it's for me. 😉✌
I bought a Damaged Landcruiser & they had moved it around by picking it up with a Forklift, badly bent the Drive Shaft it only started Vibrating over 80kph!
I use My Wife's old I phone 5 & it has I Movies, makes editing easy. It only holds 16 gig & I have to keep getting videos off it to make more. I still don't know how to post on YT yet She does that for Me! lol
Editing is a hassle, all i use is my phone. An app called videoshop, is reliable. Tried the gopro thing and all it did was frustrate me. Free app is good enough for me.
Awesome Joe. Hope my new roof doesn't double my taxes.
Awesome the door repair works. 👍 I love it roadside leather. Kind of like Ricardo montalban curb side leather or was that Corinthian leather. 😂
nice work on that door like new 👍 if you pay too much taxes just say to your self in France its worst😂 good luck Joe
A bit like my old Hyundai, go's down fine but got to pull it up! LOL. Bit hard to see it, isn't that called a 'one way' screw?

Joe, i had a 53 Chevy truck and bought the cardboard headliner. It fit like shit. I was never happy with it. Yours is way better.

Yeh I love looking at the side & high lights at night, on my Bus too!

That's a cool headliner solution.
