Excellent. Really well detailed... the small-mindedness that breeds further small-mindedness... the garden's transformation into a petty arena of vitriol. And that desperation on Craig's part, that desire for forgiveness and a return to what was... Imagine if Craig had just spoken with his neighbours about his frustration to begin with... or, if the neighbours saw his impulsive call for a fence quote as an opportunity for a new understanding of one another... That fragile moment of opportunity transformed into walking on eggshells. Great story.
