It depends on who you're referring to as "thriving!" Property taxes are extremely high, utilities, particularly electricity, are ridiculous, low wages, and a Progressive/Liberal loving town, with a Socialist perspective! One thing I do know is dining out is affordable. There's no one STARVING in El Paso, Texas. I'm born and raised here, three generations, and I've lived all over the world. I HAD to come back because of aging parents.

El paso is not worth it. Expense as San Antonio, nothing to offer, job market is really bad. I do not recommend unless you are from out of state. 😅
