Hi, I'm Arthy. I love miniature painting, 3D printing and... things. So I thought I rather make some videos about topics that I kinda sorta know a thing or two about, then, let's say, about crocheting.
My videos are aimed for the avid but average miniature painter. Someone who wants to slay the grey mass in their closet, with very good results compared to basically no effort. So expect very short, straight to the point, no nonsense tutorials.
Scrap that, there will definitely be nonsense. But everything else is true!

Rule of Cool over power every time. Awsome army man!
@@JMACCSArmiesOfMiddleEarth Thank you and I agree. Always go for cool 😁
wish I could find like minded players. amazing work.
I feel you. I recently moved to a quite rural area where I knew no one. It took me about 4 months to finally get in touch with the first person and have a game. It was a blast though. So I can only recommend you to either visit some Warhammer Groups on Facebook or on Reddit and post that you are looking for players in your area from time to time. I had to post over the course of a few weeks until finally the right person was online at the right time and read it. Also getting in touch with local stores might help aswell. Good look and don't give up the search.
Amazing and I am SO glad you repainted the army. Absolutely the right move!
I use a a cereal box cut in half as a movement tray for my Skaven.
@@dadman2electricboogaloo672 Definitely a way to do it. It's how I started out too.
Finally! I was planning on making just the same system (Magnets under the bases, metal foil under the trays and magnetic foils on the bottom of a box for storage) but couldn't find anybody doing it so I was unsure if it would work properly. Only issue I still fear to happen is to have difficulties separating the trays from the magnetic foils, from the video it looks the bond is quite strong... maybe providing every tray of a small handle for lifting more easily could fix it?
Glad the video could be of help to you. It's a great way of transporting your minis. I've taken this setup to about 15 matches so far and never had any issues. And yes, the bond is quite strong but nothing to worry about. My rails around my movement tray is very thin, 3D printed resin (not as flexible as normal plastic) and it never broke when I was taking it off. That frame instead helps a lot while peeling it off. I get a fingernail under one edge and then it's very smooth and easy. The only time I had an "issue" was, when I'm taking my Demigryphs. They are blanco on a sheet of metal foil, so no frame around it. Here I have to remove one Demi and then pull it off. Which is not really a hassle, as those are played in a regiment of 3 chonky boys. You can see it in my other video where I built the whole transport box: th-cam.com/video/wj7bO6FCRLY/w-d-xo.html (0:35)
I hate to be 'that guy' but you put the wheels on the steam tank backwards 😆 Beautiful army though!
Define "backwards" 😅
@@arthyficial The one on the left should be on the right and vice versa. The griffons should be striking 'forwards' and the comets tails should be behind them as the wheel rotates to move the tank forward. But this way round they are facing 'backwards'.
@@archaeolas Blasphemy! I knew there was a higher reason for me rolling like ass when playing the stank!
@@arthyficial That definitely could be it! Haha!
What an incredible piece of art that army is.
@@Phangmaster Thank you so much!
It isn't glowing but it does have A glow
I got the version for my iPad. Any differences? Great video too :)
@@Spandau-Filet I'm not aware of any differences. Also the browser based version is identical to the desktop one.
This channel has major TH-camr vibes but somehow like 15 likes. Huh.
@@cookiedefender566 I take that as a compliment, hopefully. We all have to start somewhere. My channel exists now for 5 months but I really tried to nail down the quality right from the start.
@@arthyficial It is a compliment, it just felt weird to see a really ironed out video with so few likes and views. Good luck on growing your channel! You have a lot of potential
@@cookiedefender566 Thank you so much
Keep calm and keep old school painting. 👍
I like Averland for the lore. It's like the Texas of the Empire and they are fast friends with the Dwarves
And black and yellow fit so well for the statetroops. 😍
Great suggestion. I simply rebased mine as the old basing was so ugly, but lined their movement trays with the same magnetic sheet you used and 1000 magnets. Even strong enough for metal minis.
@@nagashthegod Thats great! I havr played about 15 matches with those ferro foil bases and they did not disappoint. But boy. 1000 magnets. That must have taken quite alot of time 😅
Great looking army mate! Really enjoyed the showcase. Salute from Australia!
Thank you. Glad you liked it. Greetings back, half around the globe, from Germany. 😁
WOA a underrated channel D:
Oh thank you for the nice comment. That keeps the moral up
Personally I dont really like the dwarf using the rock to propel him forward because it looks so silly as a model as the front looks relatively flat a more dynamic pose would have been much better for that jump pose. I love the paintjob though really cool.
Thank you for your critique. Every input is welcome! I'll hand it down to my mate as input for future projects.
@@arthyficial For example the model that is already flying looks really good and not as flat as the one I described. I am happy to see more of your paints in the future. Wish you a nice day :D
@@NorthInium Thanks, you too. We'll keep that in mind!
Very cool result! Love how the molten effect on those axes turned out in the end
Thank you. Glad you liked it
Third times the charm. One has to please the algorythm gods or get turned into a chaos spawn. 😏
@@PortalWombatYT I wonder what an algorithm Spawn would look like...
I hope there's a new video any time soon. I'll only watch this one like 5 or 6 more times!
Well if it's that easy... I shall repost it a few times more! But I get you... I am working on a new one already. Just had to figure out what went wrong with this one...
Subscribers. If you are confused, I had to re-upload this video as TH-cam wasn't happy with the "seggztep" joke. 🤨 I hope this time around it sticks. Let me know what you think about the video. Poured quite a bit of work into it.
A ice version would be cool.
I will keep it in mind, it definately would!
i 'can't even log in i'am supposed to receive a mail i never get great app xD
Haven't had that issue. You can get in contact with them on their discord.
The full video was so nice to watch.
The full video was a real revelation.
It's great, but just too expensive for the subscription. Shame
Super cool vid !! Gorgeous army ! Love the demononununononuno guy
@@plazma5343 Thank you 🤣. The demenonononolugyue guy has been proven quite effective on the battlefield too 😆
Really nice army mate!
I don't like how they turned basic Empire troops to 25mm. 20mm was perfect for them. I don't really bother being specific, as I'm not taking them to a tournament or anything. Nice to see there is a way around it though.
What a beautiful army and nicely done showcase! I'm fighting for Averland too 🖤💛 I'm wondering what your recipe for the yellow on the state troops is? :) Oh and I quite prefer crossbowmen over handgunners. I feel like their 30" range and armour bane 2 is good but I'm only six games in and mainly focus on Demigryphs rn but maybe give those shooty guys a try one day :)
Another brother in arms for Averland, great! Unfortunately all those paints that I used are lost to time. Even if I could remember those names, their newer citadel parts are not even close to it. In my refurbishment video I bought the Averland Sunset(? I think), and that is much more vibrant than what I had before. So I had to mix some more yellow-green in to get closer to mustard. So I am afraid I cannot give you a recipe anymore. I do indeed prefer crossbows over handguns aswell. You never want to walk with them at all costs (ponderous) so 30 inch is the only way. But in any match I used them I just felt like I didn't need them. If someone plays harpies and threatens my cannons, I use the cannister shot. Or a hero on Pegasus to shoo them away. And I never shoot at infantry as my cav just wipes them away thanks to 1st charge. But I noticed that alot of units feel like "they have no value" but that is all down to survivors bias. They may have no value in my army composition but could be quite useful in a whole other setup. So I'm trying to keep away from saying "they are useless".
Beautiful army!!
You are correct about the Empire Captain as your Greatsword Champion! Got the same model and its a great model to have! Also, you mention you don't like the gold armour of the Inner Circle Knights, but I really really like that part myself! They standout and they look great that way (and look like Blazing Suns knights too so that's good!). Love the black and yellow colour of the army overall, really striking!
Thank you so much. I will keep those inner circle knights the way they are then.
The Bodyguard for my Mydas the Mean are a unit of Averland Halderdiers
That sounds cool. A mixed empire army sure will also look great. With units from different provinces.
I love seeing these armies come back to the table, and the personal background stuff!
Thank you. Glad you liked it. I thought it makes it much more personal and relateable.
Green and white is stir river patrol (A unit of striland) hochland is green and red
Now that you said it I remembered. I think I saw them in the 7th edition Army book.
A really enjoyable video, with a great looking Empire army. The big take away for me though was your thoughts about your army. And that it was crafted with such care n a joy at making a stunning looking army.... especially your hand painted banners! Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much. I will.
This helped me sooooo much as i jaut ordered counterfeit star wars armada ships, and didn't know how to go about painting them.
This was a very relaxing and well made video. Glad you kept your Empire army!
Thank you. That's what I was aiming for.
Agreed, well done on the production.
When you said Hochland, i immediately knew you were german. :D Great Army btw.
Beautiful army! Cool video, I thought it may be a little long, but it was very entertaining.
Thank you. I try to keep the length in check. Sometimes I have too much to share though. :P
Looks great.
💛🖤💛🖤💛
What an awesome video. I don’t even play, I just recently got back into painting, since childhood. All these models are new to me and I loved experiencing your joy and enthusiam in the hobby.
That's so nice to read. I wanted to bring a bit of Hobby positivity between all these negative videos I get recommended daily. There is so much to enjoy in our hobby, have fun painting.
Nice work! Magnetisieren im großen Stil hab ich noch vor mir. 😅
3 Stunden. 3! Stunden! Leg ein Hörbuch auf was du schon vor dir her schiebst oder eine Doku ein. Mein Tipp dazu :D
10 Jahre "in the making". Hat viel zu lange gedauert :P
Wunderschön! 👏👏👏
Danke
So beautiful 💖💖
