Ocarina Of Time - The Greatest Game Of All Time
Among the Zelda series, as well as video games in general, stands a goliath of a title known to the gaming community far and wide - The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time.
Receiving universal acclaim upon its original release on the Nintendo 64, it is the all time highest rated game on Metacritic and has been rated with a perfect score by most gaming magazines that reviewed it. Today, Ocarina Of Time is seen as a game that has no doubt aged, but still has all the qualities that made it such a magical, thrilling and beloved masterpiece back when it came out in 1998, and is to this day regarded by many as one of, if not the single greatest video game of all time.
While many may disagree, I personally believe that this game still truly stands as the greatest this industry has to offer, and in this video, I explain why I believe that The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time is the greatest video game of all time.

You Should Read Ataru Cagiva's Zelda Manga

Sorry for the Twilight Princess memes at the end I didn't know how to end the video. Recently, I read the two Zelda manga written and illustrated by Ataru Cagiva: The Dreaming Island and Triforce Of The Gods, based on the Zelda games Link's Awakening and A Link To The Past, and found them really enjoyable, so I made a video discussing the things I liked, the things I didn't like, parts that sto...

In January of 1992, a comic titled The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past by renowned mangaka Shotaro Ishinomori began its year long run, being published on a monthly basis in Nintendo Power, for a total of 12 issues. The comic was later collected and re-released in May of 2015 by VIZ Media. In this video, I go over my thoughts and feelings regarded the comic.

After the success of The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past, which was regarded by many as one of the greatest games of all time at the time, as well as today, Nintendo wanted to port their most successful game to their most popular console: the Game Boy. After the success of the first two The Legend Of Zelda games, Nintendo began working on a new title for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1988, but decided on developing it for their upcoming console, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, instead the following year. What Made Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link So Frustrating?

Whenever a game becomes successful, its developers will often attempt to capitalize on the game's success by making various adaptations and merchandise of the game. It's not too unlikely that they will also create a sequel to the game. Today, I talk about the sequel to one of the greatest classics in gaming history - Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link, in order to find out what makes it great, wha...

Why are so many insisting on going trough Death Mountain BEFORE palace 2 - and then complain about it??? Just do palace 2 first, leveling up organicly while doing so. And If a game is not challanging, what’s the fun? It’s gotta be some sence of urgency not to die. And besides - even If you have to start from the North palace: there is maximum 5 minutes to backtrack to the place on the Mao you were when you died. And also also… yes some secrets are hard to find. But unlike so many TH-camrs Claire there ARE clues to all of them.

Being about 12 or so when it came out, I was already a huge 'The Legend of Zelda' fan and couldn't wait for this one. I beat it without Game Genie codes (back then), or "save states" like everyone uses now. I loved it, and the difficulty made me love it even more. I was glad it wasn't easy. Sure it has some issues, and I'm sure I used Nintendo Power and even called the hotline on a few of the more challenging or confusing parts, but most of the fun came from the struggle to figure the things out that were not just handed to you. I enjoy playing it to this day. I wish there were more modern games like it!

I am currently replaying Ocarina of Time after many years and I am genuinely having a blast. The dungeons, music, characters, and story are absolutely fantastic and it’s such an emotional ride. It’s still the best Zelda game in my personal opinion and that includes both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. This is my top 3 Zelda games: 🛡️ #1 Ocarina of Time #2 Majora’s Mask #3 A Link Between Worlds 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Slackanator completed the game without taking a single hit entire game. @chromataclysm completed the game with 1 3 1 levels. Some people love this game alot including myself. Congratulations in beating the game! Glad you found the thunder spell. Great video. Ps: Rebonac can be beaten without downstab 😲😉

No, the greatest game of all time was Majora. Ocarina had that title for just 2 years. Majora had it for around 17 years. Breath surpassed Majora, and NOW Tears of the Kingdom is the greatest of all time.

The heart system of triforce heroes was actually the least offensive part of the gameplay. The game was designed around multiplayer, to the point where the first boss feels impossible, as it will just attack the two stationary links you aren't using as you try to complete the puzzle that allows you to attack it. The worst part was trying to complete the game with other people in the online lobby. I had a younger brother who was just as determined as I was to beat the game, unfortunately we weren't always paired together for levels, but that wasn't the extent of it. The part that was really awful in trying to beat it was that you'd often get paired with at least one bratty person who would refuse to play the game if they weren't allowed to lead everyone else around. Usually this would result in them grabbing someone they didn't like and throwing them into fire pits, bottomless holes, or enemies. This could be countered if you had another serious person you were playing with, as one of you could pick them up and hold them, preventing their behavior, and only letting them down when absolutely necessary. However, if the other two players weren't serious, they would usually pick up the person who was, either preventing movement, ganging up on them to see who could make the serious person take the most lava bathes, or just team up to play a game of catch using the serious person as the ball.

courage is a powerful tool... this is why this legend makes me feel it's the best. i crave power, need it even. if the hand that holds the sword has no courage, there is no power to the wielder granted. this is why Twilight Princess is second to Ocarina Of Time for me... if you notice that the games lead to greater traits, mainly that you need to give to get, and good turns lead to open doors indeed. the impression in the game is that good works are opportunities building, giving new ways to get through to the next part of life is a very good message here. character building. that's the best part of it all.

I’ve played through Ocarina of Time soooooo many times. It’s genuinely my comfort game. Because, you’re not just fighting to fight but the world rests on your shoulders. The narrative goes soooooo deep. Much deeper than a lot of people actually can understand on the surface. You grow from a kid, to a man and face every aspect growing up from friendship, brotherhood, love interest, fight or flight, and even themes of sexuality. Also that friendship isn’t absolute, and they can come and go. This game single handedly forced me to listen better, read better and think critically better. And gameplay was so seamless…Music was never dull. This game will forevermore be my favorite game of all time. And I wish there were more like it. Watch the “masterclass in subtext” if you get a chance

Link speaking “I found a mirror,” is actually a mistranslation of the Japanese text which translates to simply, “found a mirror.” This makes sense canonically since link speaks only English and therefore cannot speak his line when he is in Japan.

I can't watch the video completely at this time, but I will probably watch it eventually. Just click so I can say I agree, and not only is it the best game of all time. It's also the best Zelda story. To me BOTW and TOTK are the wrong direction for Zelda. I wrote this and argued with anti-classic Zelda people on many threads. To me Zelda requires for Link to be the classic hero with the Triforce, Heart Pieces, Items used to solve puzzles and not Minecraft gimmicks. Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has me hoping Nintendo can change the direction and returns somewhat to the classic formula. I hope they never return to the empty world of BOTW and its calming emptiness. Give me the colorful world of a packed Hyrule and Termina or the Wind Waker world that vibrate with emotions, colors and expressiveness. Classic Zelda forever! <3
