No, Cairns are stacks of rocks that people use as sign posts. For many it's just a tacky way for people to say "I was here." The person who stacked these rocks may have been named Karen, but that's unlikely.

I think this is the coolest of the vetch plants. June is a great month for vetch here in Lethbridge.

I'm still learning about new plants every day I hike in the coulees here. Isn't life great?

Prickly Pears are pretty common here in Lethbridge.

If it is one, it doesn't belong to the plant it's growing on. Maybe a parasitic species?

It likely is native in the USA, too. There are orange ones, too. Both are native species here (though I have only see n them west of here, in Waterton, before now).

Canada is beautiful. There's a lot of beauty down in your neck of the woods, too!

@@Inrussian No, it isn't girly. But, if you listen to the one poem I wrote about Sigh's nipple piercing, you'll see that I don't think it's a great idea for men to get their nipples pierced, either. I'm certain Sigh regretted having pierced the thing.

Lethbridge Public Library will be hosting Seedy Saturday on April 6, 2024. Last year they offered people free seeds. I will be there giving out some of my free seeds, too. You are welcome to attend. I hope you'll find what you're looking for to grow the garden of your dreams.
