LOL I've listened to this thing so much it's stuck in my head so TOMORROW, I will FORCE myself to write a new song (and not try to fix all the other songs)...maybe a Christmas song! These lyrics are more positive than the first version...I'm so happy that you like it! Honestly, doubling vocals and adding back ground vocals makes a big difference. It's great that Synthesizer V Pro version allows the "gender" to be changed (lowering or raising the frequency of the vocals) so Solaria doesn't always sound so much like Taylor Swift!😆 And I ADORE sunsets so much...happening here soon...and sunrises, too! My phone is filled with sunrise/sunset photos! 😁

Either way, I know that not many artists put so much soul in their work, which is why I like this channel. Your last song "Sing A Song Just For Me" has actually been stuck in my head for HOURS every time you released a new version. I got a feeling this one may make itself a home in the back of my mind as well. No clue how you do it, man. I did write a song about sunset (Eventide) awhile ago 😝 I could probably do better! And an autumn 🍂 song about sunsets is a great idea!!! I’m sorry my songs get stuck in your head! 😳😆 In the future, if that happens, listen to another song to unstick it 😁. I’m trying not to push too hard to write songs and not treat them like assignments 😁 Back to sunset reference… it just clouded over SUPER FAST so I don’t think I’ll get to watch the sun ⛅️ set 😕

You're welcome. I understand being hypersensitive, and venting emotions. Life is beautiful and tragic, and expressing the way we feel is one of the ways we deal with it. If you're looking to refine that expression, the thing I usually do is pause, set everything aside, and pray as to whether I'm using the right words or if I'm putting my point across in the best possible manner. I meditate over the words until I feel at peace with them. Rhyming, word play, and meticulously selecting the right words to use is difficult for me to resist. Yeah, it's special when it feels like the very words are on your side.

@@TarkynSharples2 Thank you for your advice...I pray constantly and ask for help to do my best. I rewrite over and over LOL That's what happened with me with "Without You" (admitting I was a tad frustrated :P). I was finally fine with the lyrics on Tuesday and got the mix and video done. Meticulous is my personality...lol (hence Miss Meticulous! lol) I'm learning not to worry about being perfect or what others' opinions are...just doing what feels right and being a bit simpler than I tend to be. 😁 I'm sure you write really well...feel free to share your endeavors! And isn't Peace such a great feeling? Even better than chocolate! 😆

@bethenyruefsongs You're most welcome! I use the same method as you, and I also work with MuseScore but version 3 because it has an orchestral plug-in that works really well. Since you mentioned Cubase 13, I’ve downloaded it to give it a try, and if it’s user-friendly, I’ll definitely consider purchasing it. I’m also going to experiment with the suggestion @TarkynSharples2 made. I like MuseScore 4, but I find the reverb a bit overwhelming-though maybe I just need to experiment more with it. I hope to better understand how to work with the MIDI features soon. Thanks for the inspiration! I thought I was the only one using MuseScore to achieve what you’ve done, but it seems like there’s a whole club of us around the world!

@@wong4728 I started out with Musescore 2 but a update every time they do - lol. I understand how it's important for having the best VSTs...in Musescore or DAWs. And you are right, I like Musescore orchesta better than Spitfire's free BBC Orchestra. Almost all of mine are the free download versions but hey, free is better than not having! I have Cubase Elements LE 13 and it's a low version...Pro has amazing FXs and Plugins...but it cost a whole lot more. Cubase is very complicated...but it's not hard to use...there are a million things you can do with it, it just takes lots of time to learn how to use it. There are tons of TH-cam videos on how to, though. FL Studio and Logic Pro (Mac only) are both highly popular DAWs if you don't like using Cubase. Once you get familiar with Cubase, it's not that hard to write songs with it. I just prefer actual music notes (so old school...lol...but at least I don't have to write them with pencils anymore!) The nice thing about DAWs is there are loops and drum grooves and so many other plugins so you can make a really great arrangement and audio mix. I wish you the best with your musical endeavors!😃

LOL I love to do complicated chord progressions then change keys...and I tend to use mixolydian chord progressions which most people think are strange Lol Not sure if lyrics will actually work or sound strange...flutes always sound great for melodies but then voices singing syllables are much different 😝 Again, thank you for your kind words!

@@bethenyruefsongs Haha, maybe derpy, but it's about finding your 'voice'. I tried my hand at poetry a long time ago, and I thought it was good. Years later, I looked back at some of the things I had written, and the awkwardness of it made me cringe! I still write somewhat awkwardly, but I try to be more accepting of it now. Most people default to writing music in C Major, and so I think that utilising different scales and modes is a good way to make your music sound unique. I really like this song as an instrumental piece-I don't feel that it's lacking in lyrics. However, you're the artist, and if you have a vision, or inspiration, it will probably hurt you more if you don't at least try to manifest what your heart is set upon. Sometimes we are given inspiration for a reason.

@@TarkynSharples2 I understand that! I've written hundreds of poems and lyrics and I tend to be highly self-critical regarding them. I'm sure what your write isn't awkward. I have never written anything in C Major but sadly, when I transposed Sing a Song...down two half steps, it ended up in C Major. LOL And thanks...I really don't wanna write lyrics for Light of Hope...I've tried several times. So maybe I should just start trying to write a new song. Or just take a breather...lol Everything happens for a reason and everything that is meant to be, will be so I need to trust the perfect timing and stop worrying!

@@bethenyruefsongs Highly self-critical? I feel like I'm reading my own thoughts, written by someone else. There's a lot of good that comes from being highly self-critical, just like a refiner's fire purifying a metal. But often the path to perfection (or the path to "good enough") is too much to bear, especially if it's solitary. Ah, the lure of C Major pulled you in unwittingly! 🤣 Yes, not to worry: Worrying doesn't add an inch to your stature, or a second to your life. "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above".

@@TarkynSharples2 Self-critical is a lot easier to deal with than when others criticize, that's for sure! I hope your self-critical behavior isn't painful! We are who we are and it's good to try to be our best but we're all allowed to be human and learn from our mistakes...like transposing into C Major! (DERP!!!) LOL Once I realize that, I almost lowered it one more half step into B Major...the more sharps, the more fun! Yeah, worry just wastes time and takes happiness away...and yes, every perfect gift is from above!!!

I think I tried a tiny bit of background vocals on one of my songs...I tend to do everything way too complicated so I'm trying to simplify but adding background vocals is a good recommendation. I do pan extreme left and right for them but I don't think I shifted them time wise (I do try with guitars, though). I really appreciate your advice and I'll try to achieve it on the song I'm working on now. Thank you so much!😊 I did try to add background vocals and I think it makes it a lot better...thanks so much for that head's up! I'm sure I could improve it even more...I'll have to do some studying!

It's good that you're self aware, and trying to be temperate. I appreciate that you took my advice with humility, and I do recommend that you look into techniques on how to implement background vocals, as my explanation was very limited. @@bethenyruefsongs Yeah, mixing and mastering is tough. I need to train my ear more, to be able to do mastering. You'll learn by experience, to refine and better compose your music. I see music as being hills and valleys, travelling a path, to come upon something greater: There is always anticipation, then climax, and then repose. When these are balanced masterfully, the listening experience is intuitive, rewarding, and edifying. I have listened to a few of your songs, and it is evident that you have been given a gift, and an enthusiasm for it, so I'm confident that you will improve. I can't tell you how much that means to me! When I wrote that one...a LONG time ago, (when I was at Golden West College studying audio engineering,)the other people in my song writing class thought my chord progressions were strange (and I'm sure they thought I was strange too LOL) so that makes me feel so much better! And cheated on some of the rhymes (I used "realized" twice in the bridge - as of yesterday XD) And I was so lucky to find those videos yesterday....the original videos disappeared from my laptop so I had to go hunting for freebies...and I was so lucky to find that set and how well they worked!
