Every time I hear her sing, it always amazes me what a gift God has blessed on this woman! Her voice and ability to get underneath the emotions of what ever song she chooses to sing are amazing. I’ve seen her live 30 plus times in concert and each show has been an outstanding event! I love you Patti! God bless you and keep sharing your gift with us please!
WRONG!!! Best album that year was Radiohead's OK Computer. I love Dylan, but Ok Computer was Radiohead's masterpiece and Time Out of Mind wasn't. (Sorry.) Now if you had Blood on the Tracks pitted against OK Computer...that would be tough, but I'd give it to Blood on the Tracks because everyone I knew was blown away by it. It came out in early '75, and alt. radio stations were playing it constantly, and I remember going to parties in the Village (NYC) and when that song came on it just shut everyone up. Incredible album!
If you are just discovering this treasure from the 90s remember this: the mediocre will suppress the extraordinarily talented… And that's in every field… Always be the best that you can be always
As a musicologist for over 40 yrs. I honestly believe that if you look at whitneys volume of work, combined with her obvious vocal ability, the resonance the timbre, ability to vary her octaves, the accolades ahe achieved, i truly believe she is the goat. There were other greats like aretha, gladys knight ,tina turner etc but whitney was ahead of everybody even her peers and contemporaries acknoweldge that.
Bad sister I remember doing security for the budweiser superset back in the days, her teddy , Anita & Frankie Beverly & maze awesome show , it was only $25 , people were getting along perfect , weed smoking that was great times, no fighting , everyone enjoying themselves 70's & 80's was good music
Such a random way to end the classic era of James Bond films. 1989, license to kill, last we saw of timothy dalton as bond. This song plays in the closing credits. At first it feels out of place. But the more I think about it - its a beautiful way to close out the time.
Bob got quite a standing ovation for this. Absolutely incredible. Thirty five years after Blowin in the Wind. Just wow To be this deep into his career and win Album of the Year…..
Kill it with the vocals. She sounds just like the recorded version. ❤
2:23 Taylor who gets the verse wrong and Isaac who brings him back to the correct path

Saw a lot of Dylan live around this time. Bob & his band were firing on all cylinders.

None and I mean none of these pop girls can sing like this! 2024
Vou continuar ouvindo na voz da Celine mesmo ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Kirk play with his soul to the Lord God is awesome in him like David of the Bible
Whitney and Mariah aren’t in her league. They are pop “singers”, Lady Regina is a Jazz/Soul Icon.

And to think she was only 26-27 yrs old when this song came out. So very different compared to the 26-27 year olds now!
I remember this so well. A different world just went off the air.
😂😂 what in the joke is this? Was this like a spoof show? I'm dying

Really wanna know what GP is doing today (2024)
GP is the best. Wish I knew them earlier
THE INTERVIEW WAS JUST AS GOOD AS HER SINGING THE SONG.R.I.P. SWEET VESTA.
I’m so happy I grew up off this music 🥰
The Diana Ross bit was hilarious!
Prince was all like, "That was funny." Jamie: "Let's get soft and wet under the purple rain." Prince: "Now wait a minute, hold on right there..." 😂😂😂😂
Let us worship Christ!
Halle Berry looks OMG. AMAZING SHE IS FINE 😊😊
Sinbad was corny, he's goofy around beautiful women.
Regina Belle can sing her ass off. She's killing this song. She can hold a note. She do remind me of Anita Baker. That's my girl.🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤.
