Part numbers below in the description - P.S. I SUCK at editing. If you understand what Bank 1 v. Bank 2 and Sensor 1 v. Sensor 2 means, and you're only here to see where their locations are, then skip to 2:30 Vehicle has 2 upstream and 2 downstream O2 Sensors. Bank 1, Sensor 1 and Bank 2, Sensor 1 - Same Part (Order 2 if replacing both upstream sensors): Densor Brand: www.amazon.com/gp/product/...

@micamackk .... "NIKO" HERE
AWESOME JOB BROTHER!!!!!!
I was trying to make sense of codes, banks, Upstream and downstream for a 2007 Highlander. It turns out this video was more useful than I expected. he explained quite well how to make sense of the error codes received. Thank you for very informative video.
you're welcome!
I got more confused.thanks😂
Good research.
I have had a crap of a time reaching sensor 1 on my 09 kluger I had to sever the wires to get a 22ml long reach socket onto it because the 02 socket I have is to long And why on earth would they manufacture a 3/8 considering the hard work it has to do anyway If you do that please make sure you have a correct replacement sensor genuine Toyota part or you will soon find out like I did it won’t bloody work
👍👍
Absolutely love you for making this vid and love your attitude.
On the sienna. You remove the y exhaust pipe. 6 bolts. And there is plenty of room. Should be similar on this
Great job man. Had fun watching it. Its a nightmare to know where all the sensors are. This video really helped.
Thank you for this video. Not a mechanic......but I was ready to tackle an O2 sensor on my Highlander until I watched your video and realized what the mother a B1S1 entails. You are doing us all quite the service.
Did you ever find out how to the sensor?
I ended up paying a mechanic for an hour of labor to replace the one sensor, haha
Thank you, thank you.
Make sure you order theirs select gravy if it doesn’t specify USDA choice really Tuesdays is hospitals in institutions grade that’s their secret plus other vegetables on the side of our time in bags
Do you have f*cking brain damage? Can you clarify what the f*ck it is you just said?
Dude! So glad people who aren’t mechanics are still making videos like these. This was a lifesaver. Unfortunately my issue with with bank 1 sensor 1 so I’ve got my work cut out for me :(. You’re a legend!
Dude I'm not even sure you are right, but your video is awesome. At least your honest, getting ready to change the sensors on an older Toyota solara, but your level of honesty is awesome and entertaining, probably bc in like you with cars, idk wtf that is, but if I can take it out I can put it in
Life Saver bro! Awesome video
And ddon't listen to Scotty the backyard mechanic, he says it's ok to use LAQUER THINNER to clean out your sensors. 'Because it's petroleum based'. BS BS BS BS BS BS I burnt out all my screens and sensors causing new parts galore , money and time wasted.
It’s all fixed now Put in a new catalytic converter on the front side of the engine surprisingly it only cost me $400 The engine is working perfect now a year later & now has 437,000+ miles on it & is working flawlessly She drives like a dream
Great job! Perfect videography, you kept us oriented to where you were at all times. Love the simple and quick explanations, and hilarious sense of brutal honesty. Reminds me of me when climbing under a car.😂
Excellent video! I got all of what I needed to replace bank 2 sensor 1 from it. Please send good thoughts that my bank 1 sensor 1 doesn't go.
Thanks man, very helpful. Seeing how hard that B1S1 will be to get to, I might just let the pros do it!!
I paid a mechanic an hour of labor to do that one sensor
F me. The only one that is failing emissions is that SOB B1S1 (P0031 error). I am checking to make sure it is connected and if it is not sure if I give to a pro or take apart all those parts to get to it. Leaning towards a pro. @@micamack
The only helpful information when it came to the o2 sensors for this truck. Thank you man. Really just helped me out and saved me tons of money.
Now that is useful information thank you
Tjis is literally the only video showing bank 1 sensor 1 location jfc all these bs mechanics on here just showing the easy to reach ones!

Dude.... THANK YOU. This was awesome! And I loved your personality 😂 I should've already known with my luck that the one that my car needs replaced would be the absolute hardest to get to.. wish me luck! Haha
that ( whatever the fuck that thing is thing ) is your transfer case , it connects both axles and the drive shaft together
Such is the nightmare of ALL WHEEL DRIVE Highlanders. That's why I like the FRONT WHEEL DRIVE ONES. excellent video by the way. AWD Highlanders are heavy, bad gas mileage and if you have to replace the drive shaft~it's $800 just for the part.Buy a FWD version which is 300 LBS lighter, better MPG and a lot more room underneath to work on. But with all that said~ Still the best damn vehicle built in japan.
It is not that difficult we just change all four oxygen sensor today we started at 10 in the morning and we were done by 5:30 afternoon. But we have to do a lot of stuff broken bolt welding and stuff like that. My son help me he moved easier underneath the car. We dropped the muffler with the Y in it and the other muffler front of it the small straight piece. After that you can access the catalytic converter or the oxygen sensor quite easy.
Bro, the video was amazing but the description of all 4 sensors to order was even more helpful. Thanks a lot!
Nice videography! Spot on, excellent. Could not find them in my repair book. Big thanks.
In order to get to the bank 1 sensor 1, it is easier to remove the air box and the intake plenum. The plenum is held in by Torx or Allen bolts that are a mother unless you get the socket for it. There are also 2 bolts on the back side that are 10 or 12 mm and to get them off you need ratcheting wrenches. While you have all of that off, you might just as well replace plugs and coil packs at the same time. I am a heavy set guy with short arms and I was able to do it so it wasn't rocket science...
Love it. I don't know all the terminology ider but I understood you just fine. Straight forward vid right to the point. Hell I don't think Scotty Gilmer will do a better vid than this one. Thx
that thing in the way you can't identify is your transfer case , talking to my son in law , he told me , just change the one on top, it's the one that actually adjust your fuel air mixture , the other 3 basically just send that information back to the computer ..or, take it to Toyota , LOL
Should the Anti fouler be installed before the cats or after the cats
Most mechanics get to sensor one when they remove the entire catalytic converter or I guess you could hire Gumby and see if he could get to it. Great video remind me of myself when I’m looking for something.❤
Guess which one is giving me problems :)
Great video! I’m trying to see if I can replace my o2 sensors- my mechanic said it wasn’t worth it because other parts in my car are so rusted. But I can’t afford a new car now, so…here we go. Also, even if you knew the official names, who cares? You had great footage and covered the important stuff. Well done!
Thanks mike you explained good way Must be way to reach that bitch sensor b1s1 maybe same way to remove the top manifold to work on rear spark plugs not sure I just think Am work on bank1 sensor 2
I don't know if you realized how great this was when you were making it, but honestly... fire. Rent a set of o2 sensor socket adapters from a parts store. Should be able to get bank 1 sensor 1 off with that + extension(s).
It took a couple attempts lol
@@micamackhow did you end up getting it?
LOL man, you had me dying. "whatever the fuck this is called, I dunno." Meanwhile the rest of your information was completely accurate.
Good job dude! I'm like you on figuring all this stuff out. Not a mechanic but smart enough and confident enough to get my hands dirty trying to save some $$$. In order to get to that bank 1 sensor 1 you have to take off the top part of your engine! Basically you have to remove the windshield wiper tray, mass air flow intake system, ignition coil lines across the top of the engine, and the engine intake (if that's what it's called??? - big black thing on top back of the engine that go to your 1-3 cylinders.) Once this is done you can just about reach it!!! LOL If I had know that was all required I would have replaced the sensor when I had all that crap off to replace my knock sensors!! Anyhow, now I get to do all that crap again!! LOL Wishing you luck with your car repair adventures.
Thanks man .
flux capacitor. kanutin hopper. Apex gravity bearings. local stabilizer strut linkage. Direct range Lazer optic unit. Harmonic balance plate.deep heat damping reflection shield 🛡️. I just talk smack to test peeps 🤣 you know like blinker fluid. How's your transmission pressure. Level sensor working. ✌️.
Thanks, man. You’re awesome.
My boyfriend says it was a great video helped him thanks
