I really like this band, but they try too hard to sound like Avenged Sevenfold. They have such talent, but they sound too much like other bands. It really annoys me. I like some of their stuff a lot, in fact, some of it I love to death. Set the World on Fire is in my top five favorite albums of all time, but idk. What do you think? Am I the only one that thinks they copy riffs from Avenged Sevenfold? It's such a waste of talent.

Black Veil Brides when they where heavy. They are clam rock now. Just like Kiss, Motley Crue and all of them. I dislike BVB because they changed from being really heavy to very soft "metal" as one would put it. Doesn't matter, this video is saved in my favorites because of how melodic and metal it is. Only thing I really hate? Andy's screams. That are horrible fry (whisper) screams. There is no talent in that, so that is why I now dislike them. I'm not hating, I am stating an opinion. If you want to listen to them, go ahead. I will stick with Whitechapel, Upon A Burning Body, Asking, Rise to Remain, Bring Me the Horizon, Atilla, Black Dahlia, I See Stars, Cannibal Corpse, and many more. I love this song because it is melodic and a very metalcore sounding song.
I'm not going to start anything here, I just want to tell you why they changed so much. They changed a lot because just like Avenged Sevenfold, they actually had plans early on to change to more of a "classic" metal sound versus what they already had. Andy stopped screaming so much, because he wanted to preserve his voice for more cleans; and then they started putting more cleans in. I get why you said they are glam rock, but they just went for a more well constructed sound, instead of moving toward heavy riffing and blast beats. I'm not a huge fan of Wretched And Divine either, but I do appreciate how they have grown as musicians and progressed. They started putting time into their riffs and solos, even lyrics, creating a more well constructed sound; even though you may not like how it is, there's still noticeable amounts of talent in the fields of performance and songwriting. Plus, when BVB started out, they were covering Billy Idol. And just think about how many member changes they have had from them. When Knives And Pens was made, they had Sandra (who went to Modern Day Escape) and Chris Hollywood. Their lineup is completely different now, just like their sound. They're just an ever changing band, and they did lose some fans for that. But still, they're all really talented, and it's their choice as to what they're going to write. Like I said, not starting anything with you, just throwing in some explanation. Have a good day, man (:

I miss this song :) I love how they were in the beginning just starting the band ;) I love them and how they went through the change of the style of the band but I miss those days when they would just were the war paint and do the screams :)
