Analog Delay shootout Ibanez AD9 vs. Behringer VD400
มุมมอง 26916 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Let's see how different both of the pedals sound. The Ibanez AD9 is a classic analog delay from the 9 Series of Ibanez made between 1982 and 1984 The behringer VD400 is a mid 2000s affordable pedal which is available for around $30 brand new. I'm using a Stratocaster by Dotch and a Harley Benton SG A Roland Jazz Chorus JC-22 and my trusty Behringer V-Tone gmx 1200h amplifier with Harley Benton ...
Boss CH-1 vs Behringer UC100 Chorus shootout
มุมมอง 683วันที่ผ่านมา
Let's see how similar both pedals sound. The Boss CH-1 is a classic Chorus pedal available since 1989, while the Behringer UC100 is a clone of that and has been available since 2007. In my opinion, the Boss sounds a little smother than the Behringer. What are your thoughts about it? I'm playing a Squier Stratocaster into both Chorus pedals into a Marshall Guvnor into the clean section of a Behr...

This is the Boss PS-6 Harmonist An effects pedal that has many cool features such as pitch shifting, whammy pedal mode, major and minor and a detune mode. In this Video I'm demoing the detune mode, a cool sounding chorus effect. I'm using a Behringer V Tone GMX 1200h amplifier and my Harley Benton 1x12 Cab with Celstion V30 speaker.

I need to get my hands on a grunge pedal!! It's my youth
Yeah man, it is definitely a cool sounding pedal, and you can get it for next to no money. Thanks for watching 🤝🏻
@@PedalJunkie The only place I can feel find one is Amazon previously used for 150$ where'd you find yours
@HMonk-hd1zr oh really? Well I found this Digitech version on eBay for 40 bucks. They go between 35 and 50€ here in Germany. I couldn't find the DOD version but it's more expensive anyways.
My buddy used to run one of these into a little crate practice amp for late night death metal jams
Such a good video, bro. I loved your energy. I totally forgot about Josh Scott covering this already. I mean that dude has every single pedal. I feel like. Either way I think this was awesome video. You got some really nice tones out of these pedals. 🤘👊🙏
Thank you man I appreciate you 👊🏼 Yeah man Josh is the man! I love the JHS show 📹🫦
This reminds me that I owned these pedals in the 90s. Bought for $50, sold them for $50... All worth a few hundred today. Yeah, bad memories.😂
Dang! 😄😄 I feel for you. I was very lucky I got the MZ-2 for 60 and later the RV-2 for 70. Otherwise, I wouldn't have bought them.
just add bigger heatsink..clean fan...and have couple TDA7293's on hand.. the module brd not readily available
I had one of those fab metal pedals when I was a kid. It was about 04' and it was the least inexpensive pedal at the local shop
Least expensive****
I had it for the same reason. First, I got this, and then the Chorus and a Behringer Delay. Those were the days brother! 😄
Dude you killed the battery riff. A lot of people play it wrong but ya fuckin nailed it.
Thanks man! I really appreciate it I didn't realize how bad the quality of the stream was though 😅
In the late 90's I used one to record a goth black metal demo!
Nice!!! Is it still available somewhere?
Still the absolute best distortion pedal I’ve ever heard. Sounds exactly like a tube amp. Had mine for over 10+ years and still, nothing beats it.
This was a great concept. Loved the video. I also love the ending. You had me dying. 😂 what the hell did you say in German? Either way, great video man.
Thanks man 👊🏼 😄 I said, "Why am I not doing this in german? It would be so much easier"
Delay is delay. It isn’t magic.
Hm 🤔 I wouldn't totally agree on "delay is delay" but you are right it is definitely not magic
@@PedalJunkie You're just taking an attenuated copy of the signal and shifting it in time. The only variables are how you attenuate, and how much you shift.
I have two of these amps and run them in a wet/dry configuration. The sound is absolutely heavenly. These are beautiful amps.
Boss as more warmth
I agree on that
Hell yeah!!! That's the way I love Grunge!!!!!😍👌👌👌👌👌
Yeah man 🤘🏻
My death metal pedal had grunge printed on the circuit board..!! ???😂
@@frankgwebaloh9557 🤣
I seem to remember one of the Joyo Delays is a clone of the Boss DM-2. Love these comparison vids.
Hey 👋🏼 nice to see you in the comment section, I haven't heard from you in a while. Yes I think it's green isn't it? Also there's a nux pedal also in pink. There are countless clones of the Boss DM-2 😅 Thanks for your feedback it really helps. 🤝🏻
@@PedalJunkie If it's the Joyo JF-33 Analog Delay, it's not the same. JF-33 use PT2399, while VD400 and DM-2 use BBD. This actually makes VD400 unique with Mooer/Rowin's Ana Echo being budget BBD delay
@georgeghleung Oh okay, I didn't know that, thanks for the information
Which song is it at 00-00:10 ?
As far as I know, none. I was just jamming with my RC-3 looper and the PS-6 Harmonist by Boss.
Rosewood finger boards repulse me. A murdered out fingerboard with shark fin inlays, and a murdered out headstock face to match is a must. Or even a full maple fingerboard and full maple headstock matching. full maple neck/headstockz.
88
Do another demo using some overdrive pedals to boost it!
🫡 why not, but it'll take some time.
I have the JS32T FSR. Its fine for the money but the pickups are shit.
The mighty mighty Boss tones😅
that rv2 should have been in the fx loop
The boss pedal sounds a bit smoother to me. There are some weird tonal things happening in the high mids of the Behringer that sound a little off to my ears
I agree with you. I had the same feeling during recording this video.
Nice axe, I have been looking on these guitars for a while now,to add a V to my collection, the only two questions for me are,the t(fixed bridge) version or the non t with the jacskon licensed floyd? And the pickups,I mean I like passive pickups, and those being high output will serve me well, but if they hum like that,it reminds me the issue the Hatley bentons active are facing with the guitar Paint.
Thanks for watching. Well my personal experience with licensed Floyd's is, they usually suck unfortunately.. I got rid of the pickups and put active EMGs into the V The humming was a grounding issue, so chances are that it was just on my guitar and not on every single one.
Identical. It's almost as if Behringer copied the exact circuit.
Behringer sounds like 'im just a kid' by simple plan
Colocar os dois na posição flat.
Had one of these when I played in my old high school band. Absolutely hated it and I could never make it sound good. Still not a huge fan of how it sounds.
Maybe its just not everyones cup of tea. Thanks for watching anyway Buddy 🫡
Thats amazing
Thanks for watching Yeah a really cool pedal
Great sound dudes...
Yes mine is a gig amp in medium venues.. it is a killer little amp for recording practice or gigging. It does so much, and takes peddles great too. Orange builds great stuff. And I have played through Marshall half stacks. Lol
Normally I'm a Marshall guy too, but I don't know...I've been playing by ny self quite a bit lately because currently I'm not in a band, so this amp is killer in any situation.
Sounds great
Siiiccckk!
RV2のゲートをドラムマシンに掛けたら、なかなか良い音になりますよ
I'll try that, thanks
:)
I didn’t know Shane Gillis played guitar. I wonder if it’s tuned to 432
I never heard that before lol 😆
88 is fuller more is happening in the vibes
The 88 is active throughout this video, but the 87 takes the edge off the sound.
The 88 Metalizer is active throughout the video (see the light on the pedal), but I agree that adding the 87 Reverb entirely takes the edge off the sound.
m9 user here, can confirm - very happy bunny 🤣
Haha alriiight 😂
I use this as a practice rig. Plug in headphones and you'll have a blast. It is a Stereo pedal and if you want to play through two amps just get a splitter cable. After saving the patch and you are in play mode, you can use the 3 knobs on the right as gain tone and volume without effecting patch settings. Great for when u switch guitars. Great demo of a very useful pedal.
Oh yes sure the splitter cable 🫣 I totally forgot about that and I used to do that with my old michael ammott pedal 🤔
I have the V1. It broke about 3 months in. I found a bad soldier joint and it works again. Fun but noisy. You need a good gate to tame this thing at idle. Wakes up the room good though
Yeah a noise gate is not a bad idea with this pedal.
@@PedalJunkie you play great and on budget gear. I just subbed.
@averagegearreviews4109 thanks alot! Yeah I have 4 children to take care of, so budget gear it is 😅
Phasers and Flangers ALWAYS go before drive for me

Atrás uma bateria eletrônica da Alesis. Já tive o conjunto completo.
Terrible sound
Nah 😅 I wouldn't necessarily say "terrible sound" but I understand that this is not everyones favorite. But thanks for commenting 🫡
Nope, as crap as they were, both Arion and DOD had compact reverb pedals before boss introduced the RV-2
Hm 🤔 yeah you're right the DOD FX 45 was released in 1985 but it was analog, while the RV-2 was the first digital compact reverb pedal. I should've mentioned that. So thanks for mentioning that.
I just updated the thumbnail and the description, so there are no further misunderstandings 🫡
This was such a good video. Very interesting. I didn’t know that about the Reverb pedal. I love how you put the backstory of The Pedel in the beginning of the video. I also loved how you kicked up The Pedel with your your foot. Awesome stuff. I also love the outtakes the blooper at the end fantastic.
Thanks so much, glad you liked it, brother! This is indeed a very interesting vintage pedal with history that's worth mentioning. Thanks for watching 🤘🏻
Looks very new for 30+ year old pedals
It sure does. Seems like the previous owner didn't do much with it
As a metal junkie have you considered aluminum??? Isn’t there treatment available??? 👀👀👀👽👽👽😂
Maybe lithium (salts) would be an effective treatment?
I have one that I bought new in 1989. Sucks batteries in a few hours.
Yeah, I could only imagine! I never even tried it, I used a powersupply straight from the beginning. Nice to hear you still have yours from 1989. Thanks for watching 😁
@@PedalJunkie match it with a Boss EQ after it and it really comes
