Avocado Cambodia Project
The next steps are behind us, we rented chill storage rooms on the outskirts of Phnom Penh. We are expanding the water system on our Hass avocado plantation in Mondulkiri and are looking forward to the first harvest next year.

The plantation was prepared for the dry season. The meadows have been mowed and the resulting straw mulches the plants. The water system has been serviced and is operational for the new dry season.

The drone video shows the organic cultivation of avocados in Ratanakiri Province, Cambodia. We planted avocados on this plantation in 2020 at the beginning of the wet season, the seedlings are one and a half years old. We maintain a natural meadow that increases biodiversity and protects terraces against their erosion.

We prepare the plantation for the dry season and install protective nets. As you can see in the plantation, we care about biodiversity, we afforest and protect the upper parts of the hills as well as streams. Our plantation has an apiary of bees, therefore we mow the meadow in batches so that as much plants as possible blooms and feeds the bees.

Avocado plantation a few months after planting the seedlings. The trees are healthy and grow strong. Planted varieties: Hass and Cuban. We used rice husk as mulching material because these materials can later decay and become available to plants as organic fertilizer.
