I know! The river cruises (and there were only a couple that let in under 21s on NYE) were coming in over a thousand!

@@cruisefraterpoultons and to stand in a decent spot in Times Square you need to turn up at about 11am and stand between the police cordons all day and night. They don’t let you leave to use the toilet either… people wear nappies and diapers or just go on the floor all day. It’s gross (but free)

We could have stayed until 1am!!! It was amazing. But we decided to take advantage of a break in the rain and get back before midnight!

The upkeep in the main lounges is really good… the cabins feel really dated though.

Yeah the food was disappointing, it’s a ship that needs some work for sure! We gave it a shot because so many people rave about it… not really sure why

@ckrajasingh many travel by train, or go straight to the airport. As long as you’ve pre booked your transfer with your cruise line, you should be fine!

No you don’t, at least not right now. Though with a new Canadian Prime Minister coming soon, anything is possible!

We are very excited. I booked the cruise over a year ago. Just getting everything else booked up at the moment, so once again thank you for a great vlog series. Very helpful. I hadn’t even thought about going out to that Island off Seattle so will also look into that now. 👏👏👏

It was the BEST! We had ‘Christmas’ at home with granddad on Christmas Eve, then had it all over again in the air/in NYC the next day. Crimbo Overload! Brilliant!!!

@@TravellingWithTeens It was. The restaurant is in between the hotel and the shopping. We were in the cozy sitting area because they could serve tea during the time we were there. The restaurant could not. We sat there drinking peppermint tea, eating the delicious complementary popcorn and the delicious fish and chips. You must try this area the next time you are in Victoria.

There is a Whole Foods a block away, plus lots of 7-11s and such even nearer. It took about 20 mins on the subway to Times Square (direct trains) and the subway stop is outside the hotel… it was SO nice to be able to get away from midtown’s business and noise as well. Sonder do have other properties in midtown if that’s where you want to be, but we lived in New York and wanted to avoid it unless necessary

Agree 100%, but with only four hours of port time in Ketchikan, we did other things there and left nature for (all) the other ports on our cruise

Depends on the 15 year-old(s)… our teens found it a bit boring, as it definitely catered to an older demographic. The movement wasn’t an issue but then again the weather was pretty perfect. If you can get the cruise for a decent price, it might be worth a try - but we do feel there are better ships and better cruises out there. Good luck!

Thanks! If it’s Juneau you are talking about, we arrived early (8am or thereabouts). It wasn’t hard to find parking, but it was the first week in April… we parked at the visitor center, yes. I think if you leave straight away from the ship you should be fine!

When did we say that? We always knew it would be crowded, we just tried to avoid the crowds as much as possible

Of course not, but NCL would know how many people hadn’t come back by that time in the day. It is they who made the port time so short, and they who chose to dock so far away (where other lines dock right in town). They should have made allowances.

@@TravellingWithTeens They "choose" to port in Ward Cove because the ports in town are not big enough to accomodate the larger, mega crusie ships. The ship isn't going to leave 1000 people in town due to busy shuttles at the end of the day. And the fact that you complain that the food options were "really busy" on your return to the ship is ridiculous. I think more "understanding" is due on your part. There are 5k people on that ship. Lines will be long and you may have to wait to get your food. You poor thing.

Life-changing

One of us has back problems, and found the beds the perfect mix of hard and soft (not too much of either). Hard to say if it’s right for you as everyone is different. Hope you end up cruising on the Constellation, it’s a great ship

@PASPersonal sadly, while cruise lines can make money from upchargjng, they will. there are all-inclusive cruise lines out there, most are just not in our budget.
