We have sailed Disney, Celebrity (luminae), and RCCL. Disney and Celebrity are even, each has some lows and some highs. RCCL comes in 3rd but not worst. RCCL has some lows and high versus the other two.

Sorry to carry on from previous comment, several others around us also said the food had been excellent, and accompanied by very friendly and efficient waiting staff. We are regular P&O customers and look forward to comparing out next cruise on the Azura in january with your experiences. Thanks for you detailed review.

Returned from a 14 day cruise on Iona, on the 7th December. Food in the Aqua restaurant one of the main dining rooms was excellent all through the trip. It did seem a step up from recent cruises and i believe a new menu was introduced on November 1st. Several others aro

One thing we find funny… in certain places, we lower our voices to a reverent whisper for no good reason. You two treated the airport lounge like a library. Fun video! We loved Belfast!

Glad you enjoyed your visit - that's my home town. My great grandfather was a welder and worked on the Titanic. If you do visit for longer and take your teens, I'd be happy to recommend some places to visit. Let me know what you're interested in.

Lovely to see this ship, worked here many times. I still could see some crew members, I had worked with. Tough place to work, glad I got out of the cycle. 😅 I hope things are better for restaurant staff now.

10 years ago P&O could hold it's head high when it came to the quality of the food and portions. Especially on the celebration nights. Main dining rooms, one would serve the main course and another serve the vegetables and they actually had dedicated wine waiters. THEN a change of CEO made so many cutbacks,,, food standards went down, portion sizes halved, menu choices slashed and everything lumped on a plate. Honestly trying to polish a turd came to mind. Crew actually spoke to you with a smile. Next year will be our last cruise with P&O especially Azura. Last year took the biscuit when it came to customer service thru the entire ship. Our cabin wasn't safe to be in... toilet overflows, plumbing broken, no hot water to shower. Reception refused to move us or offer any alternative. a strong letter to head office stating health and safety issues and photos soon got a result. No refund, well £20 told them where to stick that. finally agreed on comp. kicker was onboard credit only for several £.. booked the cheapest cabin 2025, comp should cover the extras we normally have to pay for onboard. have a feeling change of food policy standards is to encourage passengers to pay speciality dining. FYI last year crepe was served from the kitchen, excuse too busy.

They included flights? Carnival is not worth your time. Cunard and Holland are more similar to one another and both owned by Carnival.

Its original name before tourism changed it was Pt Arden. A tourism twit in florida created the new name that sounded more Alaskan😡. The cruise ship industry is killing the Alaska we loved. Good for economy sometimes yet a few a week would be better than the onslaught we receive. Glad you like our home though.

Is free alcohol provided all day in the concierge lounge? What about within coastal kitchen with free alcohol for lunch and dinner?

What a pair I have never heard people complain like you we have done 250 nights on PO and yes you get good and bad but mostly good and better than our celebrity experience. I think what you should have done was book a cruise in a standard balcony on Ociana or Regent instead of a suite on what is a very economical cruise so you possibly got the standards you require. It is like staying in a Premier and expecting the Savoy.😣

Oh dear, why no subtitles for the deaf

The world does not revolve around America. P & O is a British company and has every right to do things the British way. If you don't like it there are plenty of American based cruise companies where you can find the dirty water Americans have the cheek to call coffee and the bad passenger behaviour. In other words, the cruise lines non-Americans avoid like the plague.

I've done Azura & it's sister Ventura, and agree they need a little money spent on them, I would say they are "well loved" rather than shabby, and I do remember the smell on some decks. And I did Iona to the fjords last year, it's a totally breath taking cruise; just be prepared for a lot more walking as Iona is huge.

Loved your video...I'm an American heading off for the World Cruise on P&O Arcadia departing on 3 Jan. One of the reasons that I booked P&O is I wanted an all adult, not-so-crazy, somewhat formal experience. I'm going to have a fantastic time!

Lovely video, we enjoy P&O, always seems to be good value when all is said and done. But just wish they would keep a closer eye on maintenance and food quality. Having said that maybe poor food is classically British too.

What’s the MOST British thing about P&O?

This confirmed the food reviews of others who’ve cruised on P&O but I would have liked to actually hear your sons’ opinions. It would have set this apart from the other reviews and made this more appealing to viewers. I do wish you would include more of your sons’ reactions to and reflections on their travel experiences with you in your videos. Let them speak for themselves more often or actually show them experiencing something. That would be more interesting than repeating what they say or merely describing what they do. I feel your videos don’t quite convey what “Travelling with Teens” entails. Personally I enjoy it most when I hear them express their excitement or disinterest or can see their pleasure or conversely their dismay even when their reactions are the opposite of yours. That’s when your content really lives up to your channel name.

Great video. We cruised in a junior suite on Anthem to the Norwegian fjords this past spring and couldn't agree more with your review of the staff and the Coastal Kitchen. With what we experienced on the Anthem, we are really looking forward to our transatlantic cruise on the Odyssey of the Seas in Sky class in the spring from New York to Rome.

We sailed NCL earlier this year for first and what will be our last with them. Many of the same issues you had. Just too many people and no organization. 3 hours in line to board and continued downhill from there. I hope you canceled you next cruise with them.

My least favourite holiday place ...went in 1989 said never go back and some friends had timeshares got great deal we went Aug 2018 1 week cloudy half the time .not a good vibe island for me..been lanzarote ..same hated it it 2 weeks 1 week cloud in June 😢

You did well for the weather on these port days and your excursions looked really good, loved the Volcano hike and the adhoc Madeira taxi tour. I’m with Beth on the toilet situation (Julie) it’s annoying especially if you have to pay and don’t have any coins 😂

Great look around the real Tenerife and loved seeing the old photos when the kids were young. It’s easy to forget which day you have booked something. My greatest mistake was missing a cycle tour down a volcano in Hawaii which I was so excited about not to mention paying a small fortune. It was back in the days when you switched phones off and left them in the safe and to be fair the tour company went above and beyond trying to contact us but we only realised hours after they had left. Glad you didn’t miss your speciality dinner.

Had the best family holiday on Lanzarote in 2002. Did something similar walking up the volcano in the national park plus a camel ride! We have cartoon portraits from there too! Fab island!

Really enjoyed this video, well presented and vey informative. On Azura June 2025 to Italy and Greece, very port intensive itinerary but looking forward to making full use of the facilities on board.
