Surface Techniques Tutorial: Siemens NX to Fusion360

I am jumping into Fusion360 from Siemens NX! Let me show you a quick tutorial showing my modeling style using splines and surfaces that I learned in NX! SiemensNX www.plm.automation.siemens.com/en_us/products/nx/ Fusion 360 autode.sk/2bZypPp Thanks for watching!
How many years took it to be able to do it in 10 minutes? Great video!
sad.... it seems you have Stopped making videos.. working with surfaces is a good and fast approach !
still dont get it lol
to be exact though, the are still in the same direction as shown previously. they do not protrude out perpendicularly to the surface. this is just the same as extruding them linearly through the latter and then cutting at an offset of the curved, angled surfaces. Still cool though.
Hey Austin, I am working a short analysis of different CAD/3d modeling software. My professor brought up NX and told me to take into account. How would you say it compareces to Fusion or even other CAD/3d modeling software?
Hi cementium, Thanks for reaching out! I'd say if you are proficient with parametric modeling, NX is going to be perfect. I think NX and ProE are similar in capabilities, but will have different workflows. There will also be a difference in capabilities between current Fusion and NX/ProE, but that may not always be the case. Fusion is an awesome software to learn how to build in 3d, Rhino is also great, but stands out from the others in the build process. Do you have access to NX software? If you do, I'd say use it all you can. :)
Thank you very much. This really helps!!!!!!!!!!
Really helpful! Thanks!
awesome video.... keep it up
Great video! Literally learned a ton. I enjoy your faster presentation on the topic. Thank you!
Awesome video Austin!
I'm sure (to some) this was a great video. Those of us who are brand new to Fusion were expecting an explanation of the differences between Extrude and Press Pull... which I didn't get. Could be me.
Thank you for the feedback! I will work on better describing the differences between the two tools, and when it is best to use each.
Thank you!
This was great! Please keep making more videos
Thank You! More will be on the way I promise!
This was definitely very helpful. I wouldn't even have the slightest idea where to begin to press/pull off of a curved surface!
