This is a song that's been on my heart for quite some time. A while ago, I took time to locate names for God from the Bible and to research their meaning. I thought it would be neat to include them in a song, but I wasn't sure how. As I was doing dishes one evening, the lyrics for the first verse was gifted to me from the Holy Spirit and over the next 24 hours, I had a complete song after bouncing some ideas off of a friend.
The song is about how our relationship with God not just in the Spiritual High moments, but also In the low places. "God of my joy, God of my sorrow, Creator and keeper of every tomorrow" really speaks out that God is over all things, at all times, FOR ALL TIME!
Pulling references from 2 Corinthians, Isaiah 9, Psalm 91, and Psalm 139, the song delightfully wrote itself as I looked for scripture to tell me more about God's character and His name as written throughout scripture, and His great love for us.
