I've got a handful of hobbies, and one of my favorites is collecting Swiss firearms. I thought it could be interesting to showcase some of my firearms. Just so you know, this is more of a hobby thing for me, so I won't be putting out videos all the time.

APC223 Pro: 62 to 77grs.
มุมมอง 1.3K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video, I take my APC223 to the range to test various types of ammo, ranging from 62gr to 77gr. Previously, my attempts with budget 55-grain ammo didn't yield great results, so I've decided to step it up with some premium rounds. My goal is to see which ammo gives the tightest groups with 10-shot tests and 10-minute cool-downs between each. I know I'm not the best shooter out there, but ...

Thank you for sharing this awesome clone! I know in the states we have the SP5 and some dedicated uppers that work with AR platforms. Any chance of a video/short with this one at the range? Would love to see more of it in action.
Thanks for the kind words! I’m really glad you enjoyed the video. What kind of action shots or details are you most interested in? Is there anything specific you’d like me to cover at the range? Let me know, and I’ll do my best to make it happen! Best regards from Switzerland, Hans
I've got an APC223 with a 1 in 9 twist rate, 16" barrel. I'm only getting roughly 2-2.5moa out of it. I have an upgraded trigger. Its a lovely platform to shoot but I really wanted 1moa out of it, so I'm very disappointed. At some point I'll replace the barrel with a 1in7. Group size did noticably improve with the addition of a suppressor for shooting GP90. Given that its a 4-500m rifle for me, this level of accuracy is acceptable. I've other guns where I consistently shoot under .75 moa so I know that I'm not the limiting factor for the APC223.
Geile pistole. Phoenix qaualitet.
Great video! Do you have any experience with the new Government overrun Black magazines and how they compare in quality to the earlier generations? The magazines with my KH9 are smoke colored and have definitely cracked at the bottom. Thank you so much!
Hello there! I can't find any Swiss dealers that got the black magazines, so unfortunatly no 🙂
I use an o-ring to keep the thread protector from coming off and it has been working well so far. The M1x11 size fits perfectly between the barrel and thread protector where it basically disappears when fully tightened. I used an FKM/ viton at around 75 duro for heat resistance (should withstand around 400 F/ 230 C) and elasticity
Excellent video... definitely underrated
Thank you very much!
bro should be a English literature professor
Nice video. I've been considering one to complement my APC9K, but there isn't much information on them in the USA.
Let me know if you need further inofrmation mate!
They're great But I don't see the point of owning one over an AR But the 308 one... Baby yes!
@snapascrew that's a very specific case
@@TheTeeWorldsfreak "very specific case" AKA the entirety of Canada
@tonyli8368 so pretty much noone?
LOL F*ckin' dyin' here. I love these reviews.
How are your mags holding up? I hear the ears on the mags break easy
They hold up well, but I do not like those shard edges on the top (feeding lips)
did Hans gruezi also make the stgw 90 disassembly video that begins with the camera lens panning up and down the service rifle to the soundtrack of the swiss national anthem?
No, I did not make that video :-)
Beautiful rifles
Thanks mate!
I want to buy one of these, but I’m worried about the reciprocating charging handle. Do you think it’s an issue?
No my friend, it's definitly not an issue :-)
I like the clean way swiss people say dirt - 'dirut'
Just had some of these come on the market in Canada but I couldn’t decide between compact and standard length and they sold out while I was trying to choose 😂
☺️
Hello!, I noticed you didn't show actual pin removal, just tada! I am having a hell of a time removing the pin. I feel like I am going to break something if I hit it any harder, any hints?
Hi there! I used some strength, but no a hell lot. Have you soaking it a little in oil?
Thanks for the review. I personally own an APC223 Pro and also shot my buddy’s Gen 1 before I bought it. Both are great. Weight is my only complaint, especially when putting a LPVO on it instead of a light-weight red point. Ordered a GHM9 Gen 2 recently, which is on its way. Greeting from Canada.
Thanks for the reply! Enjoy your GHM9 buddy, it's a gem!
Under the MOA with 10 shots in 223 it's very difficult, you need a very good barrel with excellent ammo and the shooter has to be good every day !
Thanks for the video. I am quite surprised by the results, B&T claim sub MOA, I always have excellent results with Ruag Swiss P. I wonder about buying the model pro, I do not really find results on the accuracy of this weapon.
Grüezi Hans dörf ich froge an welem Standort die Range isch? Ich suech scho lang e Range wo ich uf 100m mit minere Sig Spear lt chönt go schiesse.

How look accuracy on 100 m?
Never tried this on 100m, pardon me.
@@gruezihans so please try, one beautiful day! Regards!
How much are you paying for the Black hills over there?
Interesting, very different than the US, but also somewhat similar in the arbitraty nature of the laws.
👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻F!cking beautiful, first time ive seen it in fde. Very lucky man, and the american way is the best way, byt the geramn way comws close...
Thanks! FDE really makes it stand out. And yeah, the American way is pretty solid-German and Swiss way are not too bad either! 😎 Guet Schuss!
F!cking beautiful, first time ive seen it in fde. Very luxky man.
what is the extension on your Aimpoint optic? The one in front of the battery cap?
That’s actually the older Aimpoint Comp, and those are the old-style battery caps. My best guess is that they were designed for maximum stability.
Can it fit a CZP10 mag?
The P10 magazines do not work, only the CZ 75 magazines.
@@gruezihans thanks for the clarification, the one mag almost looked like a P10/P09 mag which is what made me ask.
Omg the bronze FDE version is so nice. I wish its more readily available in CA.
Hopefully, it becomes more available in CA soon - fingers crossed you'll get your hands on one soon! 🤞🏼🔥
What is that Fusion pistol you showed? Anyone know?
It‘s like the Sphinx SDP, but from Phoenix. Hope that helps! Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you sir!
Is new model compatible with any AR15 trigger? Or need some fancy special one?
I tried some triggers and am still trying some others. The Geissele SSP M4 works the best.
What Geissele did you put into your pro? Any modification needed?
You have sharp eyes! It‘s the „Single-Stage Precision (SSP) M4 Curved Bow“. No modification needed. Used the B&T pins. I am testing a couple of different triggers at the moment.
@@gruezihans That's perfect. Thats the trigger I was thinking about putting in mine as well. Glad to hear there's no need to modify the lower. Thanks for the reply.
Problem is cost in US. 16" barrel APC223 Gen 2 cost around 4.5K. Even with that high of a price tag it is hard to find.
Yeah, the price is steep, and even then, it’s hard to find! Definitely not an easy one to grab.
@@gruezihans I have the APC9 (Limited) one of 500 imported to US. - It comes with 9" barrel, Alu lower. Elfman trigger. Love it. You cannot find this anywhere.
Beautiful rifles 🤩
Thanks! They really are! Like Swiss watches… but louder! 😎
Amazing video!! Just a question. Are you supposed to use solvent cleaner on the bolt head? Heard you aren’t supposed to get any near the firing pin. Also are you able to lube up the gas system and the regulator? Thank you very much!
Thank you! Actually, you should lightly oil the bolt head, but make sure the firing pin stays dry. For the gas system, I do oil it when cleaning but then wipe off the oil with a cloth afterward-no solvent needed. Hope that clears things up!
@@gruezihans Perfect that helps so much! But can I also choose to use CLP or would you solely recommend using oil for metal on metal contact and solvent for the rest ? how do you avoid getting the firing pin getting wet ? And one more thing do you like to lube and wipe everything down when it comes right out of the box? So sorry for all these questions but I just want to be as informed as possible.
@@hudthestud6758 No problem, happy to help! You can definitely use CLP-it's a great all-in-one option. Personally, I prefer using oil for metal-on-metal contact and solvent elsewhere, but everyone does it their way. In the Swiss military, they actually use grease instead of oil, and that works too! To keep the firing pin dry, just apply oil carefully and use a cloth to wipe around it. As for new rifles, I do a light wipe-down and oil the key parts, but again, it's all about what works best for you. Let me know if you have more questions!
Where or how did you paint it gold?
Thanks! I actually ordered it that way. Got it through a reseller here in Switzerland where I live. No DIY paint job this time! 😊
I've enjoyed your review. Well done, good, Sir.
