Adapting an icoFoam Tutorial for a Tesla Valve
มุมมอง 5683 ปีที่แล้ว
A simple way to use existing tutorial files to ensure your simulation works. This can be extended beyond icoFoam and can be applied to more complex solvers using multiphase, heat transfer, and other models. This video builds off of work done in my previous video: th-cam.com/video/9XuDQOAPSL0/w-d-xo.html

Thoughts gathered after about a week of class replacing Notability with GoodNotes 5
GoodNotes 5 Initial Thoughts & Impressions
มุมมอง 2905 ปีที่แล้ว
Bought GoodNotes 5 to see how it compares to Notability. Based off my initial impressions, it seems to have a lot of promise, holds up against Notability. GoodNotes 5 - apps.apple.com/us/app/goodnotes-5/id1444383602 Get your gear here! amzn.to/2J7OmB8

AFTER 3 YEARS SEARCHING FOR THE BEST WAY, YOU SAVED ME BY TELLING HOW TO USE WSL, THX BRO
ur welcome bro
more of these videos. Some PHDs/ research oriented ppl at my work always make me work in vim or do reports in latex
vim up next? 🧐🧐🧐
this video popped up in my homepage, just as im about to write my bachelor thesis. thanks algorithm, and thank you
You're very welcome, thanks for watching!
Short and precise, good stuff man.
I hope to keep things this way going forward, thank you for watching!
thank you!
No, thank YOU!
With this stl file, there is a part at the end of SnappyHexMeshGUI window "Objects Included: 'Sketch', 'valvular_conduit' " What is 'sketch'? I cannot see sketch object in Scene collection. THis makes error when I save this file as .blender Error is 'cannot export 'sketch' it i not visible.
Nice, that was a great tutorial.
Thank you for telling us about this, and god bless the guys who created this addon!
i tried to do the same for a cylinder but am only getting a cuboid block with some meshes instead of a mesh for cylindrical body
When i use this addon, blender goes into a state of constant freezing, on and off, and im unable to do anything. This happens as soon as i click on the tool bar tab for this GUI. RAM and CPU usage spike, but nothing seems to be happening. Any ideas? Using Blender 3.6. My model is 20M polygons.
How to save this
--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR: Cannot find patchField entry for world file: /home/run/pipe1/0/p/boundaryField from line 24 to line 36. Hi Davey, when I try to run the command 'mpirun -np 6 snappyHexMesh -parallel -overwrite' , it gives me a fatal error "Shell wall does not support testing for inside Probably it is not closed." I have filled the inlet outlet correctly. Would you please tell me what's wrong I am doing? Thanks. Do I need to add thickness to the walls or anything in blender? Thanks a lot.
wonder if you ever figure it out. I am having same trouble. Guess when saving wall, need to only save inner walls, not outer walls.
nice explanation...
Great video thanks!
Thanks for this tutorial, it helped a lot. Could you do some tutorials about fuel spray simulation with the sprayFoam solver?
Brilliant video! Thanks. I'd try it 😊👍
Could you figure it out?
Amazing Brother!! Request you to create one tutorial on cavitation in water submerged bodies. Regards!
Appreciated! I'll take a look if I get some time. If you haven't already, I would check out the cavitatingFoam or interPhaseChangeFoam tutorials to try adapting those to your specific use case.
@@davis.cole17 Thanks alot for your reply. I am trying with the interPhaseChangeFoam and the Shnerr-Sauer model but facing slight issues with the boundary conditions and the p_rgh term meaning. If it is possible then please create one tutorial using the same model I am trying with. Regards!
Thank you for the upload! I will study this case thoroughly and try to apply it to my case.
I have been following your tutorial, thank you!. I think the funky business is due to paraview cutting hexa for visualization. If you cut just in exactly the middle plane, the cutting disappears.
Yes, this is the problem. Simply enabling "crinkle clip" solves the problem.
@@stefans1093 absolutely right! thank you for the comment i totally forgot this one!!!
Great video, right to the point. Would you mind actually, eventually, making the full case video? At least for icoFoam? Thanks in advance.
Can do! Appreciate the feedback!
This blockMeshDict file is indicated that edgeGrading can be further broken into multi-grading sections. See 17:42. I suspect that this was the case though I had not found it in documentation.
Of all the tutorials, this one is THE BEST. Extra points for nujabes
ı just wanted to appreciate what you did here, It really helped me on my uni project. Thank you so much!
Very nice thanks.
Thank you for the tutorial.
Very good guy!
cant do wrong with nunjabes in the background
Can you use noteability on window devices? Because I was thinking of copy and pasting code as a programming focus in engineering in my notes and then I would annotate them to the side so I can get a better grasp on what I’m doing
Unfortunately there is no windows version of notability but OneNote will operate perfectly fine for that.
As a EE student I got the SP7 on release. I have the same issues you have with the SG. I'll be switching to the iPad and a beefy laptop as you suggest. Excellent "review"! You earned another sub.
College Math Professor here. Nice work, Davey! I use Notability on my Ipad Pro, and I think it is terrific. Your notes look great! Keep up the great work. I look forward to more videos from you.
I really appreciate the kind words! Expect much more content once the fall semester comes :)
Davey Gravy Fantastic! 😊
Hey man, thanks for the video! Ended up getting notability though it seems I might be looking at this app for the planner functionality...anyway, maybe you could show how you schedule yourself during a semester if you do it digitally. Also what discipline of engineering are you in?
Joel Majano appreciate it! I’m in mechanical right now, two more years to go !
Davey Gravy Good luck from a fellow engineering student!
Hey! Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. I would love for you to try out GoodNotes 5 as I am trying to make a decision between them. As I am also in engineering, I am wondering how often you used the audio recording tool for your lectures. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the kind words! Goodnotes 5 will be on my schedule! I use Audacity for recording software and a Focusrite Scarlett Solo + MXL 770 mic for hardware. Hope that helps!
I have bought GoodNotes 5 because it has a better highlighting feature and ‘auto switch to pen mode’ . Auto switching option is like you tap on the eraser and erase something and when you lift up the pencil, it automatically goes back to the pen option. That saves time. But I like how notability shows all the folders and notebooks in a ‘list view’. Plus the recording feature is not available in GoodNotes 5. Now I don’t actually need the recording feature so I am okay with it. The copy paste images and other files options work better in GoodNotes 5.
