ADHD & Rumination: How to BEAT THE DEMON! (DMN VS TPN)
Ever feel like you’re trapped in a mental loop you can’t escape? In this video, I tackle the ADHD 'demon'-the Default Mode Network (DMN)-and how it keeps us stuck in cycles of rumination and overthinking. We'll break down why the DMN is so powerful for people with ADHD, why we tend to ruminate, and how we can start accessing the Task Positive Network (TPN) to focus and take action instead.
I’ll share practical strategies for shifting from the DMN to the TPN, freeing yourself from the constant loop of thoughts, and finding more peace and productivity. If ADHD and rumination keep holding you back, this video is here to help you break free and start taking control!

Its sounds obvious I mean sugar affects everyone not just those with ADHD but its the way in which it affects us that it’s different let me explain. 🤔 As you are aware ADHD'ers are naturally low in certain neurotransmitters (dopamine, serotonin etc) because of this we are more likely to form addictions to things such as Sugar as it offers high reward for very little effort. Which is basically a...

Conquering ADHD Paralysis: Unleash Your Full Potential! (Part 1)
I was diagnosed at age 34, and the first time I took meds my mind was so quiet I couldn’t believe it. I had spent two decades fighting depression and anxiety, and it was really adhd all along.
This one of the greatest and simplest ADHD video I have watched yet great job bro You got a new subscriber
I am so glad to hear that! I really hope it helped 😊
Omg! This is the best video i saw today.
Thank you! I really hope you helped you in someway or you learned something new 😊
My brain is such a little bastard that he knows that I'm trying to trick him
I have never related so hard to a comment before 🤣
Man really hates that dishwasher and I just wish I had one 😂 I went through a stage of paper plates and wooden cutlery just to avoid washing pots 😂 I’ve just started my 3rd month of Elvanse and it is NOT working. Started on 30mg then 50, now 70 and will likely be changed to Dex at my next review at the end of the month. Getting very panicky about a course deadline in July and irritable for ever believing I could do it. ADHD seriously sucks. I’ve found your videos helpful and informative though. Thanks.
You bet I hate that dishwasher but I have come to peace with doing “meaningless” things now 🤣🤣 That sucks to hear my friend, just take a moment to breathe, reset your thoughts, write them down if needed. For this course deadline, you might find last minute you will rise up but to prevent try just do 5 mins a day even a minute a day whatever you can handle. Its better than nothing. But in all honesty if your not interested in this course it will never work unfortunately no matter how much you force it. Wish you the best , keep pushing man. I get it. Truely I do.
I was watching a video on TH-cam when I saw your channel. I noticed one thing: Your content is excellent but your video views are decreasing. Then, I researched your channel and found that your video's SEO score is terrible. If you can do SEO-friendly things for your channel and videos then your TH-cam channel and videos will develop rapidly. If you want, I can help you grow your TH-cam channel. I have emailed you about this. I have said it in detail there, you can take a look at it.
great vid ❤
Thank you! 🙏
Wish the 5 second rule worked for me. I'm so paralyzed its useless
You possible are in extreme burnout take care of yourself please 🙏
I dont care if ADHD is a disorder or "problem with society" society wont change and havent changed and neither does it care AT ALL. So if this pill can help me manage life and live happily. Ill keep fucking taking it. I didn't even realize how much I improved. Suddenly I cleaned, sent emails, took out the trash, cooked food, came in time to school. ETC ETC and it just dawned on me how much I improved in just 2 months. It's not a cheatcode, doing hard work is still hard but it creates this momentum in life, makes me happier, and makes me realize that I am functional.
This is very valuable. I don't have the diagnosis yet, but there's a lot here that I relate to. Thank you.
Thank you so much. I am so glad to hear. I hope you got the answers you were looking for!
Hey mate! I don’t mean to sound crude but does your medication give you ED or affect your sex drive?
Nah mate maybe a decreased sex drive at first but i noticed it quickly adjusted. In all honesty it all depends on dosages and your own personal experience.
Bro you’re testing my ADHD by looking like Declan Rice now I can’t stop thinking about football when I’m watching the video 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Is eye contact any easier with meds?
great question, not from what i have noticed
Im looking up adhd videos and its very funny there all mostly short
yeah i try to keep them short so people can watch them ahhaha
@@ADHD-Insightsiv realised I definitely have it iv never ever had the focus to rear a book can never get it
Has anyone told you that you look identical to Declan Rice? you're even wearing a white and red football shirt
normally get told i am messi tbh 😂
Nice seeing another video
Hope you enjoyed it!
Thank you very much ☺️
Anytime 🙏❤️
Declan Rice is that you??
😂😂
blud looks like Declane Rice
no way 😂😂
Had a massively similar experience with my own diagnosis at 32. A lifetime of experiences suddenly connected. Immediate insight, clarity and a path forward. Thanks for sharing mate. Keep at it.
Will do, appreciate it mate 💪
I just need to brush my darn teeth….. Jeesh 🤦🏻♀️
Thanks for reminding me 👀
I was on Instagram watching a reel of a guy drinking the 5 strongest rums in the world at once while watching this video 😂
I mean what else would you do 🤣
I was diagnosed as a child but ive been working out with my family since I was 8. I noticed i get severally depressed when i don't workout and i couldnt understand why it's also harder for me to function i used to joke I was addicted to the gym now i know why. These videos have changed my life this last two weeks i feel like i hacked my brian between this channel and another one i watch. I used to drag so much and i know how to motivate myself. Also i have to work like intensely like 2 to 3 times a day i take mushroom and other supplements everyday twice a day. The dopamine hits from BJJ last most of the day
i was the same got depressed severely after high school as i stopped playing football, its a journey for sure but i am so glad to hear that my videos were able to be of some help! Proud of you for taking the action, i know how hard it can be. <3
I found this video to be very engaging & it summarized what I go through very accurately! Thank you so much! 😁
You are so welcome ❤️
SUDDENLLY EVERYTHING CLEAR I SEE THE FKIN CONCLUSION STOPPED SPINNING AROUND IN HEAD AMAZING
Being a medicated adult is fine. I was medicated when i was 12 and it basically destroyed me. Children should not be medicated unless its the laat esort. Not because it makes teachers and parents life easier.
Nice shirt bro
Aye thanks my bro 💪
Hello. I just got put on Vyvanse. I'm on 40mg. I see myself getting a crash around 4pm or 5pm. Like total exhaustion. How do I combat that? I have been going to bed around 5 or 6pm. It also takes away my appetite. How do I avoid this crash? I also stay away from caffeine, it just makes me worse. The nervousness, anxiety. I'd appreciate your feedback kind sir :)
Try another drug. Or you may have been misdiagnosed.
@@Zifffan I'm on 45mg of Foquest. Much better!
Watch your heart on ADHD meds, just to be safe
I was a drug addict for almost 12 years and last week i got diagnosed with adhd and that explained why I’ve struggled with drugs.. im 30 and im using concerta 18mg and i feel a little bit improved but my doc told me u gonna feel the different with 2 weeks.. im glad those medications helped
Exactly how I feel
Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy
Thank you
You are so welcome 🙏
😮 me tooo
This same video is on How to ADHD
Amazing!
i am 32 years old and I was diagnosed 6 months ago and have been on Meds for about 4 months now and Ironically my blood pressure has dropped from Stage 2 hypertension (average of 155/80) to perfectly normal (average of 108/65)... turns out i was always in a state of stress and anxiety.... i had just got so used to it i didn't know any different. everything is quiet and "motivation" is not even required i am able to just start things and complete them fully.
Using rewards as incentive simply doesnt work, because I will just take the reward and not do the work. To me there needs to be a competitive environment where I just want to excel. This is the only way I get tedious boring work done. But that environment cant be always created. So Im still stuck not doing stuff I should do. I can only kind of do them on the side while I do 2 others things like watching Tv and playing a round based game
Make it competitive? Time yourself for example one that i love to do that works for me, is setting a time and then trying to beat that time. If its doing laundry for example i try to do it under 10 mins ill put a timer on and try smash it out. Ill pair that with a reward at the end. It does work but if your already having a negative attitude towards trying these solutions then they will never work. Learn this from me. SOMEONE WHO HAS ADHD. KEEP GOING
@@ADHD-Insights Thx for the reply! I will try the timing thing. Afterall I feel like we are good at doing stuff well and quick, if we can actually get it done in a certain amount of time (e.g. 30min)
One of my first reactions was, what the heck has everyone none HDHD people been complaining about all their life, I was like, if this is what is normal then you guys have no clue how great you actually have it.
It's obviously not. We get a boost in feeling an motivation. Normal people don't have a pill to give them motivstion.
I think that what @Ponk_80 means that "normal" people (i hate that word normal haha) don't have to take pills for motivation they simply exist as is and there brains function in the correct ways!
Link doesn’t work
Will fix it up this morning for you, check back in an hour 💪
It should be working now!!!
How might I be able to support the channel. Any Patreon?
That’s too kind man! For now just taking action on the tips I provide and just watching the videos so that you are able to move forward and battle the issues we face with ADHD! I will be opening up a Patreon soon!
I drink many fruit drinks and am never able to concentrate
Try make some natural fruit drinks like mixing strawberry’s and lemons into your water!
Very similar experience. But I lived 58 yrs without meds, so some regret that I didn't find out earlier.
It’s honestly painful but nothing you can do to change the past, 100% mourn it but don’t get stuck in that feeling. You have so much to still live for ❤️
@@ADHD-Insights Beautifully said. Thank you.
When I feel this I remember the story of the Chinese Farmer
Slow down! Slow down!
Am I speaking too fast 🤣🤣
@@ADHD-Insights Yeah. I could not keep up so I had to abandon the video about 1/3 through. Perhaps you've taken too much sugar ;-)
you can always slow it down! i appreciate the feedback non the less!
I want you to know you know that this video made me take the first step out of my joke of a life
i am so glad! You're life is not a joke though, I understand exactly how you feeling I used/still do Negative self-talk myself all the time as a way of motivation. But remember to try be kinder to yourself, i think of it like this if your best friend was struggling you wouldnt say that to them, you would motivate them and try to support them. So be kinder to yourself!!
Omg this is me everyday I will lose something such as my phone while cooking or going something on the side. I'm always getting easily stressed out once I have lost something it getting to the point I cant cope anymore. I say in the recent years that it has been getting worse I have family who have Dementia ad Alzheimer's disease and it more likely to get it if you have Adhd. Adhd definitely effects our daily lives and is linked to many things to do with the brain. I definitely need to find ways to help me.
you are on the right path! Any ideas or suggestions for upcoming videos you want me to make let me know. Please don't stress yourself out though understand our brains are not broken, just different i will admit yes at times way more challenging but with the right support, resources and medication (natural or prescription) its truly possible to live an amazing life.
@@ADHD-Insights Thank for responding I think a video on creativity with Adhd and hyperfocus kind of about the benefits. Also maybe the links to Adhd with other things such as Dementia trying to keep the brain active is very important. Last thing maybe debunking myths about Adhd and the reality. That a few ideas keep it up
This video has really helped me and I have learnt that I have to do things straight away or I will either get stressed or forget about it. One thing I really struggle with is my working memory focus and emotions. I have been diagnosed with Adhd for many years and I'm going to start taking medication. Love your video keep it up
I’m honestly so glad to hear this, just keep going. All I can say is we will always fall short and have our days but truely we can transform our lives just is a day by day experience best of luck!
god, that not having to interrupt is the best feeling ever. Thank god meds exist
I know right! That was one of my worse traits cutting people off because i was so worried about forgetting what i was going to say 😂
I agree with u we do have a delayed sleep phase. I used melatonin on occasion i heard its not good for long term use and not good for eye sight. So i only use it when i have really stuffed up my bedtime routine. Aka 4am/7am. For long term i use Magneisum. Chamomile can help. I defo agree having sunlight as u wake up is good for us, to stay in routine. Also, using dimmed lights evening through the night.
Couldn't of said this comment any better myself! I hope the video helped
I dont think my waiting mode is so much triggered by anxiety for 'forgetting the event'. Its more anxiety for not being prepared for the event (even if there is nothing to prepare!). So this alarm hack wouldnt be effective.
That’s how the alarm jack works though, by setting an hour or so before you leave you can then get prepared for said event in that time and double check you have everything needed! Trust me try it.
@@ADHD-Insights I certainly find that it's easier to put together my stuff last-minute than to make better decisions about getting it all done earlier. At least, presuming that the prep phase is short and fairly easy. If I have that half-hour before I need to leave, I can pull together most of the stuff I need; if I've packed a little ahead of time, that's nice. But trying to do the same thing three hours early doesn't seem to work as well, heh.
Can someone help me? I take 50mg of vyvanse and i think it helps. But i get really anxious. Is this only at the beginning and will i get used to it or is this a sign the dosage is too high?
Could be a sign of a high dose or also a sign you may have other conditions. Would need more info but I would first start with trying a lower dose. 👍🏻
@@ADHD-Insightsso the anxiety will not go away later? Some days its fine some days its not. Really exhausting
@@xanterius2774 Trial the medication for a month, try to journal when feeling anxious reason being it can help you feel grounded again. Also can help you track how many times you felt that anxiety if there is no improvements after that month experiment with lower dosages. Its not a quick fix solution. I would rather be honest then tell you lies!
@@ADHD-Insights thank you very much. Yesterday i took the medication and got really productive. I got shit done. The anxiety got less. I have anxiety disorder so i focus on my body often and with the medication there are changes happening in my body and thats getting me anxious. Its complicated, because my doctor says no the side effects wont get better after time, but i read some different opinions on that in blogs etc.
@xanterius2774 yes, after about 2 to 3 weeks
