There is absolutely nothing mysterious about Biblical "tongues" - and there is only *one* type - when referring to something spoken, they are nothing more than real, rational language(s); usually, but not always, unknown to those listening to them, but always known by the speaker(s) - it’s their native language (in some cases, it is a language the speaker has learned). _Nowhere_ in the Bible is modern tongues-speech advocated or evidenced. ‘Tongues’ (read, *‘languages’* ) - the divine gift, is the God/Holy Spirit given ability to effortlessly learn to speak and be understood through real-language barriers. It is not xenoglossy (as many people incorrectly assume), nor is it the self-created non-cognitive non-language utterance of what certain Christian denominations are producing today (modern tongues-speech). So, no, what people are producing today and calling "tongues" is by no means "evidence" of the Holy Spirit.

Never affirm the lifestyle but a good shepherd wouldn't allow a wolf to congregate with the sheep. Anyone who is known to live an alternative lifestyle shouldn't be trusted in the church. Their reason for attending church should be to change their desires not to reproduce their behaviors.

There's more than one scripture that proves that God hates the acts you're talking about. God hates all sin from disobedience, to murder and to as little as a white lie. God's expectations for us is to be perfect but by His Grace, He provided a savior for us imperfect creatures. We all sin but we should dislike sin. Those who sin and love it are in a world of trouble.

Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed for homosexuality specifically. It was destroyed for pride, which is no different from that we see in America today. I wouldn't be surprised if Sodom and Gomorrah had a pride flag.

If you study the Church Fathers (patristics) you can not hold sola fide. The so-called five solas can not stand alone. The solas are innovations of Protestantism. Faith and works are both necessary.

Think about it: if a Christian's works can be burned up at the judgment, so much for works proving "true" faith, as some stipulate.

Salvation is not a reward for the righteous (and we know none are) but a gift to the ungodly guilty. Period.

No where in the Bible does it guarantee that all Christians will produce fruit. In fact, the Bible says just the opposite: Every branch in me that beareth not fruit... [John 15:2]

You’re not left in your devices, Holy Spirit is in us, convicting us. It’s simple. We obey that conviction and are blessed and grow spiritually, or we disobey and he chastises us. When we learn to read scripture in its proper context it makes sense. Everything becomes super clear. Another tip: always interpret the more difficult scriptures with the simpler ones. Also, scripture never contradicts. If John 3:16 tells us believe and you have ETERNAL LIFE, not temporary life. Now we must use the light we have to shed on other scripture. If it contradicts, you have a problem.

Evidence is NOT necessary. We have a carnal nature AND the new nature simultaneously. It is up to is to choose to walk in the spirit. But salvation is FREE. It’s a GIFT. Unless you’re a Calvinist, you can’t come to the conclusion that you WILL change and produce. Keep in mind the fruit the lady brought up regarding fruits is NOT speaking about believers, read it in context; it’s talking about FALSE TEACHERS.
