Just picked up a pair of V2's brand new for £250 and yes. They're a really nice upgrade from my AKG's K702's.

Arya stealth were on sale at amazon UK for 500 GBP last week. Grabbed a pair myself. Only running them off a Qudelix 5k and they sound superb.

I gave away my M50x, too uncomfortable, and the sound was just alright.

The designer of the R70x actually took a lot of inspiration from the HD600 & 650, honestly they sound more like a 600 series headphones than the 660S and 660S2

i bought my x2hr's for 60,- second hand with new pads included, no amp, no other costs. this is hands down the best cost to performance ratio i have ever heard, especially with EQ tuning

It's entry level audiophile and universal (almost any device can drive it and any TRS cable can be used)

I own both cause I'm deeply fascinated the planar magnetic style of the sundaras

I have been watching you since you were doing (no face) reviews.. Can you suggest a dac amp combo / single unit under $200, for sundara. I am thinking of fiio k11 r2r but its single ended power output makes it doubtful. schiit magni unity with dac is another i have in mind.

I really love seeing a face behind the voice with your newer videos. Keep up the work my guy. I'm very unfamiliar with wireless headphones these days, but not a day goes by where I'm not thankful to have a pair of bathys. They aren't the most comfortable and the anc/passive mode is whatever, but they have a perfectly neutral/slightly warm-tilted sound. They easily have the best timbre for string instruments out of all my other Focals which is pretty nuts to me. They're just a damn good pair of wireless headphones...though you definitely wouldn't consider going for a jog with them on your head with their weight and price. They're more so for adding some sonic elegance when cleaning your toilet or doing laundry.

Bought Phillips 9500 for gaming in 2024 and those are amazing better than $250 gaming headset

Thanks, the main thing I wanted to know was if using a wired connection makes a difference. These seem like a nice compromise: Use wired at home and bluetooth on the go or doing chores

I have mine modified (back foam removed and metal grill added on the magnet for protection) and the sound stage is incredible! It's rather easy to play with smartphone Unfortunately, the ear pads turned flat after just 2 months of use (I have a big skull). Instead, I get Brainwavz velour pads and the sound changed barely.

X2HR is rather easy to drive with smartphone, and you can add boom mic with V-Moda Boom Pro

There's NO possibility to play HD600 with smartphone due to too low sensitivity

Your review stands in contrary to other review on TH-cam in which it was said that imaging of the sound is rather weak and blends in.

watched this review in this headphones. For anyone interested, I am using them with iFi zendac 2 and to add this a little bit of enjoyment sometimes I use their extra bass magic feature. And it works. The bend tho... Yes it's innovative but two spots in your hair after use is not that good :D They really do mess with the hair but cap can be used. Overall what's most important for my taste - they sound a bit warm, quite detailed and alive - all these characteristics in not high-end priced package and I love them for that. Play some high-res CD tunes - and wuha-la - music streight to the soul

6XX has better sensitivity There's NO possibility to play 600 with smartphone; 6XX has better chance (though 58x is more smartphone friendly)

BTW, the normal m50x (without BT) actually come with the cables. A long straight cable, a short straight cable for travel and a long coiled Cable. They also come with a 6.3mm adapter you can screw on both of the longer cables.

I’ve heard the HD800S on a pretty incredible chain. They sound distant, sterile and unengaging. I’ve heard it said that they’re a completely different sound profile to the 600 series, and while that’s true, they both offer that signature Sennheiser boredom!

600 is no-no for smartphone 6xx is definitely more smartphone friendly

HD560s is not good at all. Return after 10min. Hype,.my HD 598 is much better and do not clamp on head at all.

Small town DJ here. Been using my ATH M30s for nearly 20 years. Replaced the earpads with velour. The cord/cans are still in great shape. Never had another pair last more than a year and a half. 4 hour show, 5 days a week, 320ish mornings every year. On/off my head tens of thousands of times. Bought a pair of M30x's probably 5 years ago. They stay in my travel bag. Probably used 50 times. They sound okay, not nearly as comfortable.

Is the X2HR soundstage anywhere near as wide as the Arya V2? Soundstage is currently my pursuit for an upgrade so this would be helpful, Arya V2 was the first time soundstage wowed me so if this were close it’d save a lot for sure while having bass I want.

I had the 560s. I couldn't find one thing to like about them compared to my AKG 712 Pro. They have more bass then 712 but at the wrong place. They still have the infamous Sennheiser veil. Maybe a little bit better vocals. For the rest: details, timbre, sound stage, positioning etc, the 712 is waaay better (and very eq-able). Got rid of the 560s after 2 days

I love using headphones and have a high end pair and an upper mid range pair. In comparison these for the price compare very well. Bluetooth sound quality is very good, great amplification. To up the quality further I use wired or into my Fiio BTR7 or ifi Gryphon. A very good buy for traveling with. Great value and well built. Pleasing, musical sound.

I know i am late, can you please tell me how to drive these perfectly with a macbook pro which comes with high impedance headphone jack. I want to make it as simple as possible, what are all the extra products i need to buy? ( Macbook comes in a 3.5mm jack - 150 ohms with 1.25 volts RMS ) And big thank you for this wonderful video

Isn’t 660S as in S1 improvement on HD600, it has maybe less bass (but better quality) and more smooth treble (but with more detail retrieval)? The timbre vs HD600 and mids remained intact, the added soundstage, imaging and dynamic performance of the driver is the result of newer modern HD700 drivers being used. I pretty much consider HD660S better Hd600. Meanwhile HD660S2 felt like its separate model, more in line with HD58X or with Momentum 3 headphones. The HD660S still has vocals in more forward position. Meanwhile HD660S2 vocals are more inline with instruments. That’s my take on it. So ended up keeping that.
