Went to disney today and ROTR broke down TWICE, we were going to queue when the wait time was 85 minutes but my dad thought that was ages (i told him that was NOTHING compared to usual) and we had Smugglers Run booked. We came out of Smugglers Run and saw the ride had broken down again!!! NOT happy, Disney. Not happy at all.

So how does it work technically? Are the vehicles moving into the rooms/scenes, activating the animatronics? It doesnt seem to all be on a predetermined sequence. So this particular incident was because the cars stopped, not because of the Kylo Ren figure. It stopped the second before the car was meant to jolt back in the explosion right? So when it was reset it just simply went to the new scene- the escape pods.

Analyzing the ride almost every Robot is broken and it's understandable how much it takes to fix every single one. That's the real reason it's being changed

Where and how did you get that second sprocket on the axle, and is it 2wd? Im looking for a fat trike at the moment and throw some fishing rod holders on it for the summer. I have a 72v 3000w vevor motor and 50 amp controller laying around. Great vid man.

I was chatting with a cast member the other day and he told me that breakdowns on RotR happen all the time. Most of the time it's something that's dropped on the ground and caused the sensors to stop the ride. Usually a hat or someone's ears. He said that they have to evacuate the ride, retrieve the item, reset everything, run the ride through once, and then they can start boarding again. That's why it takes almost an hour. And those pods run on batteries and don't always charge at night, leaving them with fewer pods than needed. It's a cool ride and it has a lot of potential points of failure.

Even though Kylos appearance at 2:00 was technically a malfunction (he came down too late) it still looked really cool, with how the door shut right after the saber came on.

Oh no what an earth happened

Looks like an interesting ride. Too bad I absolutely loathed the Disney sequels.

That ride breaks down a lot. When it happened to use last year it was at the very end as soon as we exited to the outside. We sat their for about 10 minutiae. The droid “argued” with Finn for about 2 minutes on the radio then it got quite until we started moving again. I wasn’t mad though, after 2hrs 20min in line, I was just happy to be seated.

It was broken down most of the day a couple of weeks ago. We tried to get on it around 8:30 pm. and the queue still had a 4 hour wait. Unfortunately we did not make it on the ride this year.
