Omg i was cutting down a massive honeysuckle bush with some electric hedge trimmers and there was these things whizzing around my head. I just assumed it was Japanese beetles. I kept cutting. I look up, and an inch from where i cut one of the stems there was a little nest hanging there with about 7 of em. I was so lucky to not get stung. So i figured, well ill just sneak up with the loppers and cut it down and smash it. I went in sneak mode and very slowly snd carefully made the cut right behind the nest and ran off like lightning. I waited a few and then came back. The piece I cut landed on another branch right below it. The wasps were still on it chilling like nothing. So... Then i threw a shovel at it and bolted off screaming again. So that time it finally ended up on the ground. All the wasps were still looking for it. To my surprise they actually werent super agressive, but seemed very confused to where the nest went. Well, i went and smashed it with the shovel. Over and over. They eventually dispersed. And i finished cutting down that bush. I am extremely terrified of wasps, the fact they had been whizzing around my head like that and i didnt flinch. I seriously will run away screaming if they even get close. Im a lady though, so i guess thats more socially acceptable. Lol
