I REALL REALLY REALLY wanted to love this pedal, as i am a HUGE Waylon fan....and it looks so stinkin' cool. But Fender really screwed the pooch with this one. I mean, how hard is it to design a decent JFET phaser? Theres hundreds of schematics, DIY kits, etc all across the net for phaser pedals. Everybody and their brother sells one, ranging from $30 to the stratosphere. And only the cheapest Chinese junk has more distortion than this pedal. Every JFET phaser ive run across has at least "some" distortion (The Boss PH-1r being the least distorted), but this thing is way too much. All the engineers wouldve had to do is drop the voltage down on the input side, and then boost the gain back to unity on the back end, like the Boss does (an output volume control wouldve been even better). Who signed off on this thing? Is Fender's goal to sell quality and usable gear for the discerning musician, or cool-looking knickknacks to sit in the glass case of a collector? What an embarrassment.

Sounded nice! I got instantly hooked on Waylon as a kid in the 70's. After meeting him and his drummer, Ritchie Albright. Kinda wish I'd kept the drum sticks they gave me now. I plan on getting this pedal as well. I think the sweet spots are adjustable as well. But let me know how it works out.
