So if you had 110cc headgasket than your problems would go away , notice how 90cc piston is different than 110cc , not just the diameter but 90 has cutouts for valves and is taller , and 110 is flat top
@stevesteel14 I saw comment that you think you fixed problem by just tightening head bolts more. So do you think you really need the head gaskets outside diameter over the tapered edge on cylinder head?
I just made my own gaskets. Cereal boxes work a treat never failed me on my 160cc. Went through two bought gaskets got fed up stripping the head down. Now the bikes running sweat as a nut. Gets hammered on the traxx.
Just depends if you have an external oil leak or it's internal. Could be leaking from a gasket and trailing down to the plug hole. However, if the oil is on the actual plug hole, then its internal. But if its internal, the bike would be smoking alot, if so that gonna be Vale seal or piston rings
I'd say any year, it's something I've allways noticed with most kawasakis, but any doubt then just do a top end rebuild and check piston to cylinder clearance. It's rare to get piston slap from a worn cylinder as most cylinders on the kdx/kx are nickel silicone carbide plated. So do not hone the cylinder or scuff it with corse paper or cloth.
There's only one place oil can naturally come out of the engine, and that is the engine breather at top of the engine, if its not coming out of there, then yea its most likely gasket.
Your carb might be too lean. Check your spark plug and see if it looks too lean If you’re spark plug is showing it was running lean then clean all jets in your carb. If that doesn’t fix it then try making your carb run more rich.
I've read other comments and most likely the carb setting but, yes if the gasket is gone, it will draw in more air which will cause it to run lean, and would definitely make it hotter quicker as this happend to mine also, sorry for very late reply.
I think so, gasket still blew, and I put it down to the head bolts being to weak, therfore not tightening up enough, I was going to replace them with m8 stud bolts, but after I took measurements I thought fuck it, I tightened the bolts up so tight I was expecting them to snap, but so far it hasn't done it again yet.
it certainly worked for a short period but the rattle did come back, however I take it as reassurance that the valve has not clogged up with carbon. plus I think the rebuild has gave my bike a quieter rattle. my honest opinion is that if you have a kdx, then just live with the rattle. thanks for the comment.

Life story shit
Thats the wrong gasket for the top end . That gasket goes between the cylinder and crank case
It is correct gasket as you can see it has the inner metal compression seal for the combustion chamber. Thanks for you comment anyway ❤

yoooo whats the valve adjustment on these heads i got the same one on my 90cc

Really? 🤣 mines just gone and icl i have heard the rumours but i am still dubious. Ill maybe give it a go
Hello my bike is leaking oil from sparkplug i was driving and i just shut off and there was oil on sparkplug hole what is it?

What years have the rattle cause my 90’ is rattling and I’m not sure if it’s piston slap

Was oil leaking out of your Exhaust port
Nope
Okay Mines is what could that be
And my engine idles perfectly but smokes white and leaks oil from the Exhaust
Valve stem seal... You'd have to take the cylinder head off, bit of a strip down really. But it would definitely be valve stem seals.
@@stevesteel14 or piston rings need to go
My motorbike is releasing oil on air filter could that be a Gasket problem as well?

Hey im new to this stuff but my bike is leaking oil from the exhaust and its a 4 stroke@stevesteel14
My 120cc engine gets hot pretty quick could it be the head gasket ??

@@shayjordan1899 could it still be the carb even if the carburettor is brand new??
@@connorjack3246 yeah it can, new carbs may need to be adjusted to your altitude and climate, such as rejecting

Did u ever figure this out

So just by tightening the hell out of the head bolts it fixed it ?
Try nylon washers. Let me know how you go.
Someone said its suppose to rattle, and if it doesnt it means the power valve is gunked up. Mine is barely noticeable so is that bad?
could be more likely that your engine hasn't got much wear. if it was stuck I would say you'd notice a major lack of power
what was your mod to quiet down the power valves
just the o-ring, it may of lasted a lot longer if I used a high temperature o-ring.
skuddddiingggg
How has the mod turned out? I saw your other riding video and didn't hear the KIPS rattle. Thank you for posting this.

I see this video was posted after your KIPS video and the bike sounds great. Do you feel the orings made a difference in quieting it down?
Brap brap brapa like it keep them coming pal.
ohhhh yes. kool vid. go on drz baby make it rain. 👍👍👍
