I’m kinda glad that most of the cores are just hand waved to be like “yeah this looks like the dope ass armor you know and love, but it’s actually upgraded to gen 3 specs so it makes sense to wear”. Is it an ass pull? Yes absolutely, but I really like the look of Mark IV and SPI armor and I’d actually like to have shields and armor plating more protective than tin foil thank you very much.
