Al Wahda Thikr Jamaah Full Hajj Greeting 1445
We decided to do a Hajj Greeting for the expatriate community who is leaving from their country of work. It is indeed a sad period for them not being able to host family and friends as it has become customary in Cape Town for decades. We do hope this greeting bring some feeling from home and set the tone for this wonderful journey of Hajj. We wish all Hujaj a Hajj Maqboel, a Hajj which Allah will be pleased with and verily a Hajj which we they will live out for the rest of their lives.

Upholding tradition which dates back 131 years ago on 6th January 1888 as published in the Argus Weekly Edition. The first ever troupe paraded the streets of Cape Town with Chinese Lanterns and marked the beginning of a new era which today is still celebrated annually by Malay choirs from all around Cape Town.

It's a tradition in Cape Town that Malay choirs take to the streets and render few songs on New Years Eve. This song was performed in the Heritage Street of the Cape Malay Choirs, Wale Street is where the mother organisation started the choir board more than 82 years ago.
