I just tried and failed to get my Dremel and flex shaft to go together. I fired up TH-cam and found your video in 5 seconds watched your video, read some comments, and went back to the garage. I was up and carving in less than a minute. Thank you, thank you, for this video.

Good video. I knew I was missing that silver lock nut. I was trying to use my flex shaft last night, but couldn't figure out why it wouldn't spin. I have a 1st generation Dremmel and apparently lost that lock nut. I'll order one. Thanks!

Thank you so much, I also noted that I should use the small wrench to tighten the first addition then I didn’t realise I had to re-attach the two bits you initially took off 🤣🤣 got there in the end and I’m grateful for your help xx

Dremel manual writers are probably ex-Ikea manual writers who in turn wrote Shakespeare with typewriters. I couldn't figure it out until I saw your video and eventually found the metal piece taped to the inside of the box after seeing your video so thanks very much for making the video.

Mine was working and then the flex cable wouldn't turn. I'm sure at some point I took it apart and maybe lost the little metal part with the square hole. So that will be the first thing I look for. Maybe the square hole is stripped out. I don't know, but your video gives me a place to start. Thank you!

Hello, I was wondering if it can be used on nails?

I have the same dremel, nothing I can think of will get the cutting wheel off of the flex shaft. How do I do it??

Hey Johny - thanks for making this video...I just picked up a Dremel at an estate sale and it came with the flex shaft. I figured out how to get it set up, however the end wasn't turning, (wanted to use the Dremel to file my dogs nails) you showed me that one piece that goes on the end of the Dremel first I didn't have, looking through the kit I found the piece that I was missing, mine turned out to be black, put it on the end of the Dremel and now its works great...thanks again.

Ive just order my flexi shaft, so thanks for this as I would not have had a clue. Can you tell me please if the on/off can be controlled by the pen, or do I still have to switch it on/off via rhe main body of the dremel itself. Thanks

It helped me a lot because I have an older dremel that my grandpa had and I started to play with it and someone gifted me with the flex shaft and I didn’t know that black part came off and I was hoping I didn’t need to buy a newer dremel to be able to use it! So this helped a lot!

I'm new to Dremels, but this thing has been great. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfPgcZ5_Cl0HDUKkMJAKde11YKQZVgMoR The variable speed is awesome and the cordless aspect makes it so easy to work with. I am constantly finding uses for it that make tasks easier. Recently I put in a new deadbolt on one of our doors. I knew I had to enlarge the hold where the deadbolt goes into the door frame. At first I thought I would have to get a big router and figure out how to use it for that, but then I rermembered we have the dremel. I was able to enlarge the hole almost as easy as if I was drawing with a pen. It's also great for grinding our dog's nails done and so many other household tasks.

Hey Johny! Glad you are fine and nothing happened :) I would like to ask you something. Do you need to keep your phone with you during the activity to be able to share live tracking? I don't like taking my phone with me and I'm thinking about buying a Gramin watch with this feature.
