The feature length documentary tells the story of women artists from the 1940’s and 50’s who were excluded from the historical narrative of America’s first avant-garde art movement, simply because they were women. The title is named after Lee Krasner’s painting, “The Eye is the First Circle”. She created the work following the deaths of both her husband, Jackson Pollock in 1956, and her mother ...

“A ferocity” ROAR!
My God his mother looks good for an older woman.
One in a billion! Any time I think of a modern master, Daniel Sprick is in the forethought.

Your work is very beautiful. Thank you for sharing some of your process.
Abstract Expressionism, “Wow”Women are finally, getting THIER DUE”!!... wasn’t it Mark Twain and Pablo Picasso? A time ago”? When They both went and walked throughout many market places? In Parts of Africa to to Re-ignite THIER Inspiration for Abstract Color and Written word?.. Amazing what we all can learn from the Woman, 😎 great Trailer,
I found Daniel through the oil painting tutorials of a young artist whose name I forgot in my throat and watched a few of his outdoor painting videos. I watched this film about Him, I spent about 2 hours by frequently repeating some of the portions and making screenshots of his works and his life. He is really a Great Artist and spiritually matured. He is much better than to become my mentor and role model since I'm too old to learn his kind of stunning and amazing painting. I'm almost 78 years old and thinking to paint to fulfil my childhood desire of painting, not for success or money, but for the pleasure of self satisfaction and for fun. By watching this film, I am enshrined fair enough of inspiration to go for my personal journey of painting. Thank you so much Mr. Daniel Sprick and makers of this brilliant film.
please where do you take your frames ,i'm into big format too and i like your frames?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
One of the most fantastic painters of our time
Unbelievable talent!!
WOW...Daniel is new to me! What amazing talent!!!
x lo menos uno qe pinta bien😂
Truly a 21st century Old Master. Just amazing.
Мастерство высокое, но это к искусству не имеет отношения - это нужно показывать в цирке.
This is such a beautifully done film about a great American master painter!
The faces remind me of the man behind Winkie's in Mulholland Drive.
...an outstanding artist...
Yes I was feeling Andrew Wyeth and hoping that someone would see a relationship and parallel in a different direction. Beautiful, unique intricate, thought provoking, brilliant.
Nice

This is truly marvelous sister. I love you! Lorraine
I feel that he is the best painter that ever existed on the face of the world! He took the painting to the highest level that ever existed! I feel that he took Van Eyk legacy to a level that even the Master will bow his head in front of it! I am totally humble by his work. I deeply realized that his art is a result of a spiritual attitude and profound seriousness and Dedication. I thank you Master and I am following your ! Thank you!
Well said! Daniel's work touches on many levels. We are humbled by working with him.
Wow. His work is awesome!!!! What a talent !!
Beautifully, thoughtfully done.
Thank you so much. Much appreciated. Dan was such an inspiration to work with.
Great stuff ☺️
Thanks for the visit
OK. I get the idea of 'not tracing' a drawing onto the canvas or in Daniel's case, learning to define the composition by sketching straight into the canvas with a charcoal stem. But transferring the drawing onto the canvas via artificial means is as old as the hills, i.e., Vermeer and his camera-obscura. Having said that, to paraphrase Leonardo Da Vinci, if the painting composition doesn't seem to be working, go back to the beginning drawing. Artists are masters in shortcuts, and I haven't met many painters who are also lacking somehow in draughting skills or whose paintings suffer from that particular choice. Mr. Sprick is an exceptional artist. Do what you need to do to succeed in executing your composition, and in the future, if you need to dispense with it, all the better.
Both "truth" and "beauty" are very subjective - so you can pursue it as much as you want, but beauty will always be in the eye of the beholder.
Very interesting artist moving to the edge of profundity, sorry about the artspeak lol
