That sounds like it might be an issue with the settings used, the RT settings especially use alot of GPU resources. I've set everything to High, even the settings that default to Ultra on the High Preset, and only enabled RT Reflections. The caveat being that I have to disable RT Reflections when using the card for streaming CP77. RT Reflections+Medium or Low might be doable while streaming, but I haven't tried that and most people wouldn't be streaming anyways. The 4070 definitely should be able to do the same and more on paper. But I've never tested the base 4070.

If I still have the B580 in the system next time I play GW2 properly I'll fiddle some more with the settings, thanks for the tip.

FSR AA is pretty decent, played abit with it in Space Marine 2 and it definitely gets the job done at much lower cost. Hopefully FSR at every scaling factor will see more implementation once FSR4 is out, assuming it runs well and is hardware agnostic like FSR3

@@essi2 Just found out it's already implemented in No Mans Sky, tested it out myself, and it looks better than just turning up the render resolution and has no noticable performance loss, if any at all.

Had to check myself, but yes, NMS has FSR2 Native which should be the same as FSR3 at Native resolution if I remember the difference between FSR2 and 3 correctly. Hopefully the FSR in NMS gets updated to 3.1 or FSR4(once released)

6000kbps because that is the current guideline for Twitch, technically you can stream at close to 8000kbps if you aren't using Enhanced Broadcasting. HEVC will be released for Enhanced Broadcasting testers soon(tm), so that is why HEVC is featured in most of the tests I've done. And yes, 6000kbps isn't really good enough for any resolution at or above 1080p. Generally I stream to YT with HEVC or AV1 at 12000 or 18000kbps, which is far more reasonable, but we don't have that on Twitch. All of the encoder videos I've uploaded are mostly for my own sake to give me an idea of what to expect once we have access to HEVC on Twitch, hopefully soon for 'Verified Testers' and then hopefully soon after for everyone.

Happy you got some sleep, my schedule is abit random to say the least, but the archives always stay up on YT. I'll try to keep this Redoran save going for awhile, but I rarely finish anything I start streaming 🤷‍♂️

Elder Scrolls: Arena (1994) a ground breaking game for the time that had massive scale due to procedural generation allowing you to explore all of Tamriel and was among the first RPG games to have a day-night cycle. Although the gameplay has aged badly. Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall (1996) Capitalizes on Arena's potential expanding it's systems a bit in all directions, taking place in Iliac Bay. Due to a fan remake in Unity, this game has aged much better than Arena and has full mouse control on PC. Praised for it's massive maze like dungeons and guilds / faction choice selection. It has a dark tone and notably is the only game in the series to feature nudity without mods. Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (2002) Todd Howard steps up to lead ES in a new direction. The massive procedural world is replaced with a much smaller hand-crafted world. Renown for it's very interesting setting in the alien-like Morrowind land home to the Dark Elves. Very dialogue heavy and a favorite of hardcore readers. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (2006) This is where the series takes a shift away from RPG combat and more towards action combat. Meaning your attacks no longer randomly miss and your spells no longer fail, it's a get what you see skill-based system that removes a lot of the dice-roll inspired mechanics of past ES. Takes place in the picturesque temperate climate of Cyrodil, the land which the Empire (In Skyrim) originates from. It's characters have a janky but lovable derpiness, making it the most unintentionally hilarious game in the series. Hardcore gamers criticize it for being more beginner friendly than past titles. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (2011) Streamlined what Oblivion had and increased the grandure and spectacle. Some people believe it was dumbed down, since it cut many schools of magic and skills from the series. It also removes the importance of classes. Furthermore, it cut spell crafting entirely, an iconic feature that was in every previous ES game. Despite this, it has the best action and the best dungeon level design in the series. It has aged the best since it's the most recent installment. Plus, it has the biggest modding community. Elder Scrolls VI (????) The upcoming installment in the franchise. All we know is that it is being built in the Creation Engine 2, the same engine as Starfield. And it seems like the game is not close to finished and is still many years away from complete. I hope this comment wasn't overwhelming lol. Basically: Pick Daggerfall if you love massive scale, brutal difficulty, and retro atmosphere. Pick Morrowind if you love creative text-based RPGs. Pick Oblivion if you like funny. Pick Skyrim if you like power fantasy action.

No reshade/ENB or other graphics modification, presumably the difference is due to this being streamed using DLDSR 1440p, it is also the reason why the display capture is off at the start of both of these archives :) Hopefully will be upgrading to native 1440p at some point, for now anything 1440p I do is either OBS upscaling or nVidia upscaling.

If you use some Magicka abilities or you don't mind the Magicka on it, then yes, it's a pretty good set. I think one of the reasons it doesn't get used much is the 'cast time' or 'channel' requirement. Picked it for this template character because I made it a Magicka Templar, and staying at range with the enemies isn't really going to be an option in this content, so the extra survivability is appreciated :)

MMO burnout is real, I sometimes have to take months away to recharge.
