I clicked on this video to hear Phil Perry sing not some idiot try and be funny
@stevenspirito5672 Well, Phil does sing, too. Laughing Lenny is hilarious, though. Don't hate appreciate. Phil invited the comedian to warm up the crowd, and this video costs you nothing. The next time you get a chance to see Phil live, buy tickets because this man can still sing! Thanks for watching my video!
What a beautiful voice feel has
Happy 4th! Let us know how you like that Brubeck version.
@@S682 Sure will, may play it today.
Great stuff!!! Thank you for the videos and thank you for introducing me to Gregory Porter. I cannot believe I've never heard him before. What an amazing talent!! He will be playing on my La Sclalas this evening.
I'm so glad to hear that! I love discovering new music too. For me.its about the music first. Thanks for watching.
Bit of a shame I just seen this. In the heos APP you need to configure each speaker as a room, then combine them all via the aux.
Hmmm, maybe that would work. I found it to be too inconsistent and if it didn't work for my wife easily, there would be a problem.
@@mogdimitysplitz3216 ye fair, I've got it working on 3 pairs (6 speakers) and I've just pre grouped them as 1 overall listening output. It's annoying tho I feel you
I just ordered this. I was wondering how it’s working for you 7 months later. I currently have a moukey center channel. I love it but can’t seem to hear the voice quality very well. So hoping this will fix that.
I love it. It's sleek and small on my mantle in a large room. Basically invisible against a black wall background. Sound is crisp and clear. Surprisingly, the frequency range is rather full range. So much so I wanted to buy more Polk speakers to pair with it,but I wanted to save money using speakers I already own. I highly recommend this center. As small as it is, it's surprisingly heavy, too. Good price, good Sound. Win win. Thanks for watching my video.
@@mogdimitysplitz3216 Glad to hear you are still enjoying it all this time later. Sounds like a great speaker. My budget was tight so I bought it used off Amazon but saved around $100. Hopefully it’s a decent condition and serves its purpose. I got front Polk xt60s and fluance bi-poles for rears and a Yamaha SW100 Subwoofer and STRDH590 Sony Receiver. Not bad for a budget set up.
I absolutely hated the Fives. Everything sounded muffled and the boom boom was fatiguing, even with EQ. Very hard to hear dialogues in movies, and vocals didn't sound natural.
Really? Wow! I've had mine now for nearly a couple of years now attached to my bedroom tv, and they sound great. Now, mine are behind my TV and turned off axis due to a lack of floor space, and yet sound good to me. I play music and watch movies and television this way 100% of the time. Much improved over my LG old onboard speakers. I appreciate your view. Thanks for watching my video.
@@mogdimitysplitz3216 I was re-reading my comments, and they sounded harsh. I am glad you like the Fives. I love the way they look, but their sound just didn't do it for me, especially at that price point.
@thewirah1 No worries. Taste in sound is just like taste for food. It's subjective. Just like Andrew Robinson always says, "The only one who has to like your system is you." These days, I'm considering either the new SVS tower speakers or the Klipsch Forte IVs. Nearly same price, but one is a flagship product. Enjoy the journey. It never ends. Peace!
así es . . bien el maestro ..phil Perry ... tiene dar oportunidad ....... 👏👏👏👏👏👏
haven't been here in a while. Glade to see your still havin fun
The original looks mint If it works well you should not have replaced. the originals were better then anything made today!
I realize the speaker does look good, but I swear I heard this bagging bit of distortion in one Woofer. Good news is I still have original woofers. However, I did trade the original crossovers for Crites replacement. I also still have a set.of ALK Crossovers. The problem with a tweaker like me is I can always come up with some idea to tweak something. The speakers still sound great to me, by the way. Thanks for watching my videos!
Absolutely! Best place out there for audio equipment but also the ONLY place I know of you can get audiophile vinyl AND get High end Audio in the SAME PLACE! It's awesome!
Crites was in Arkansas. He's passed away but I believe his son continues the product lines.
Absolutely, my best sounding setup with my AL-3's was in a 10×10 barracks room. I was able to calibrate the distance to my listening position and make the La Scala's disappear is a tiny room, wish I had made more videos with them back then. When I get back home I have a new to me pair of 🍒 RF7 II's I'll be making videos with, I also plan on making more videos all together. Are you part of the klipsch FB group with Cory by chance?
Wow! 10 by 10, that must have been quite a heft to them in a space that small. I applaude you! No, I don't Facebook. I have the RC64 MK iii center, I intended to get the rf7's but never did. Thanks for watching. Look forward to your videos.
I enjoy listening to music in my shed. Even though I have a modest but decent theatre room there's nothing like sitting outside listening to some John Coltrane or Dave Brubeck after a long day at work!
Yeah, that's what it's all about :)
Thanks for yhe upload dude keep them coming.
❤
Oh dear! I always worry when there are electrical storms. Do you have surge protection? Room looking great!
Hello, yes, all have surge protectors, but still damaged goods. I look to add a whole house surge protector in the future. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Very nice!!! You have great vinyl selections there too
Thank you, I've added quite a few new records. Maybe I should do a new records collection video. Thanks for watching, and I appreciate the positive comments.
Thanks for the review uncle phil. I will be getting mine tomorrow
Lol! You're welcome, nephew. Thanks for the compliment, and thanks for watching my video.
Homes really aren’t designed for TVs today. Every HGN show they remove the TV. I wish builders would think about the millions of movies and TVs for sale that are still being made today.
looks good and sounds good !
The older K 33s have a rising response but better detail. New cones are heavier and vc is larger but fine detail suffers
Blast King!😅 really 😅 Paul help you.
I know, but It is supposed to be a direct replacement speaker. Made by EV, it looks and appears to be the same exact make of the original. And, I STILL have my original speaker. But anyway, it sounds great, so who am I. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I look at both those crossovers and see problems. First, the Crites uses small wire in the air core inductor, I'm guessing 20-22 AWG wire? On the ALK, I see the air core inductors are in line with each other, they should be 90 degrees opposed and I see cheap resistors. You paid a large sum for those cheap parts and misaligned inductors. At least you got some high quality capacitors. Doing them myself, I use all air core inductors, 18 AWG wire minimum, properly aligned, and higher quality audio quality resistors, usually for about $100 a pair for higher quality crossovers that you paid $300-$400 for. I can not speak to the reason Crites and ALK take short cuts especially when you paid for top quality stuff. It is the same type of shortcuts that manufacturers use to cut cost. Their work is about profit, not quality music reproduction......
The voice of an angel. Amazing
Why are Klipsch owners always busy adjusting their drivers, cables, etc. in the hope that they sound sufficient or better. Did the designer did half the job.
are you a member of the dc hifi group?
The original would be worth fixing it's a good speaker
Sounds great
Very nice!
How was the movie experience using fives ? Can it replace JBL 1000 pro sound bar ?

UH, Translation please. Thanks for watching my videos, by the way.
This speakers not for metal.
I disagree, but power does make a difference. A better amp then I’m currently used would change the sound considerably. It is my next wish to come true. Thanks again for commenting.
I just love Phil Perry I met him years ago in Dallas. I hope he returns to Dallas one day, I was North Dallas 40 😊

i cannot hear ya, audiophile. use $99 mic or something....
Lol! Ya that's funny. Mic is still packed up. Cheap $2000 Samsung fold phone in use. I'll do better next time lol. Thanks for watching.
Did you get a chance to listen to Rosso Fiorentino speakers?
I did, and I was very impressed in sound and presentation.
The Audiophile Junkie is in Texas.
You know what. I did know that with 3MA store I believe. I've never been to Texas other than DFW airport for a layover. Thanks for watching.
I was at the show. Those little Fischer speakers are amazing!
I was at the show. Those little Fischer speakers were excellent.
Are these the big or small speakers playing?
These are the small speakers. I missed hearing the larger speakers. Thanks for watching.
Holy moly, they sound good!!!
Personally I wouldn't trust this guy with a kit Kat, let alone his opinion. I've watched a lot of his videos and he's a snob playing and simple, he's an elitist who thinks he knows better and that "better" that he knows applies to everyone in every situation. I mean I have no problem with experts or people with experience obviously, but what I have a problem with is somebody saying they want a budget system let's say under $800 and then getting advised by the " expert" and being told by them that any system under $5,000 is going to be garbage, for example. I used to work in the bicycle business and I saw it there too, there is nothing wrong with the 700 or $800 bike and to claim that you can't be a serious cyclist until you spend $6,000 is just ridiculous, or claim that you won't be able to get the same physical advantage or attributes riding a $700 bike versus a $6,000 bike. It's ultimately just nonsense and anybody who truly believes that is a fool or a con man, take your pic. And I can't help but get the impression over the several years I've watched his videos that that's exactly what Mikey is.
I respect your comments and the sentiment. My first impression of the few moments I was in the room is that Mikey is a truly nice but opinionated guy (as we all are when it comes to audio). However, to your point when I arrived back home to listen to my off the shelf Technics receiver, I've had for years and my $800 Craigslist Klipsch LaScala speakers playing all the same test songs I requested at the show on "high-end" expensive systems. With my limited audio memory, I was still super impressed with what I already had. I d dint spend a dime. It .ay not compare, but I don't feel any loss. And there was nothing at the show I felt I needed to take a second mortgage on my house to buy. people obviously really love Mikey. As it seems to be the most watched and commented video of the show. For that, he deserves props. After all, he's a businessman, and his job is to sell. And if what he's doing works, then that's profitable business. Thanks for watching my videos. One people, one sound, many interpretations! Enjoy the music!
Audiorevue, Mikey has been a friend of mine for aprox 5 years, and he has NEVER tried to sell me a thing. He’s only helped me with any questions I had about my system over the years. Besides that, we’ve just become friends and had plenty of great talks about whatever. My favorite way to listen to music for 30+ yrs is vinyl. Mikey’s is obviously not, but we can still talk about good sound and music in general. I managed a music store for about a decade, and I saw everything from $100 beginners guitars up to $10,000 - $20,000 absolutely beautiful custom made guitars and vintage amplifiers going for up to $50K, and this was in the late 90’s / early 2000’s, so I understand what your talking about with the bicycle thing. Usually, the sweet spot for a nice US made guitar was between $1,000 - $5,000. In fact I bought my Les Paul custom for $1,300 in ‘92, and today that same guitar is close to $10K. So again, I understand your parallel to bicycles. Mikey’s been in the industry for over 2 decades, and I can assure anyone that he’s an honest person. His first job was working for Mark Levinson. Someone who doesn’t know their stuff doesn’t get asked by Mark Levinson to work for him. Mikey truly cares about his customers, and will often fly out to their place to help set up their system after buying a piece of gear from him. I can’t think of many other dealers and/or companies that do that.
Mikey does not cater to the under $1000 audio experience. Some people would be more than satisfied with the Sonos. Bluetooth speaker set on their shelf, but that’s not who Mikey caters to. At your price, I would suggest a TH-cam channel called cheapaudioman. Just as some could never appreciate the engineering and capabilities in a expensive sports car, some people will not be able to appreciate an audiophile musical experience.
god damn. the souund is amazing. so alive. so much punch. damn.
Which speakers are we listening to? Is there a list of the equipment
LF extension from that BS was amazing. FA is best in world.
Was that Beethoven?
But why have it connected to a $35,000 DAC?
I guess because you can lol!
Yeah dac's are the most overrated equipement and a good dac around 2000$ is enough for any system.
It’s 24K. And Tim, you are wrong.
@@daverolson Nope i am not wrong
@@timschutte3961 Wrong or deaf. Pick one.
The sound sucks greatness. 🥰 ( in a positive way)
How did this room sound compared to Mikey's?
Theoretically, I really like the idea of Goldenear speakers. However, in this comparison Mikey’s Fishers sounded better, but it’s not fair since the Fischer’s were being driven by a Jeff Rowland amp.
