Beautiful xx
Another nicely performed version to check out is from the series 'Upstairs Downstairs'. David Kernan.
...портретное сходство с актрисой Жанной Болотовой....😊❤
❤❤❤😊🎉
Beautiful
It’s a notoriously difficult song to sing, what with the ranges of notes. A wonderful tune, heartbreaking words, setting out the indestructible quality of true love.
The only version
This is a nice version but cannot compare to Eddi Reader
This is so underrated in terms of YT etc. It's absolutely magnificent and so beautiful xx
An incredible performance! 👏👏👏👏
Beautiful greetings from southern ireland,
Better than Pat Boone!
I found this song six years ago when my wife passed away, played it at her funeral . Best version on TH-cam beautiful song sang by a beautiful person. Thank you Rachel.
So sorry for your loss, Robert. I first heard this song probably 40 years ago, and learned to sing it about 25 years ago so I could sing it to my wife for our anniversary. She passed away 3 months ago, and this is one of several songs I find myself singing over and over - but mostly alone, because I can't sing it in front of people without breaking down in tears. My luve was like a red, red rose . . .
Early hours of Boxing day 2022, browsing You Tube music video's and found this absolute gem. Immediately shared it on Watts App with some friends, really hope they appreciate it. Beautiful, what's more to say? 🙄
Underrated artist
0, my luve is like a red, red rose, that's newly sprung in June. 0, my love is like a melodie, that's sweetly play'd in tune. As fair thou art, my bonnie lass, so deep in luve am I, And I will luve thee still, my dear, till a' the seas gang dry. Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear, and the rocks melt wi' the sun! And I will luve thee still, my dear, while the sands of life shall run. And fare the weel, my only luve! And fare the well awhile! And I will come again, my love. Tho it were ten thousand mile
😍🥰🥰😘
Lo único que sé es que me encanta ese acordeón
Just beautiful ❤️ always loved this poem/song and Rachel’s interpretation is my absolute favourite.
This was made 9 years ago and ppl are still commenting <3
Yes they are 😁
Superb
How can you not like the Irish, Italian girl from the highlands of Caladonia.
how nice....your voice...I cant tell you.....so nice...😍😍😭😭
If you listen close it sounds like she says. I want a BMT like from subway and it cracks me up ✨🌟besides that this is a well made video and she's so pretty 🌸🌺 makes me miss hooping. Also I love this song 💜
O my Luve’s like a red, red rose, That’s newly sprung in June; O my Luve’s like the melodie That’s sweetly play’d in tune. As fair are thou, my bonie lass, So deep in luve am I; And I will luve thee still, my Dear, Till a’ the seas gang dry. Till a’ the seas gang dry, my Dear, And the rocks melt wi’ the sun: I will luve thee still, my dear, While the sands o’ life shall run. And fare thee weel, my only Luve! And fare thee weel, a while! And I will come again, my Luve, Tho’ it were ten thousand mile!)
Rachels Looks and her voice is a Beautiful as this song from Robert Burns.
My love is like a melody that sweetly sang in tune.
I found peace in her voice . . .
Beautiful rendition of 'My Love Is Like A Red, Red Rose' but listen to Eddie Reader's version of 'Ae Fond Kiss' from the recent 'Burn's Night 2021 With The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra' evening and tell me that this is not the greatest love song of all time sung by a woman who was *born* to represent the genius of 'The Bard' in the 21st century.
I'm in love with her performance. ;-;
Rachel you are beautiful inside and out 🙏❤️
lovely voice..the words are not so simple to remember....
Chai you are spot on Rabbie would have never said "so" he would have said "sae"
Wow
no puedo escuchar take me out sin acordarme d auron dios quiero llorar
I`m speechless.
So classy.. well done!
Came across this, not sure the high 👠 suited her vibe, but omg what a great cover version and backing band
I want to see Rachel cover 'The Kill' by 30 Seconds to Mars or 'Rooftops' by Lostprophets
Uoooowwww!!! Tks for that!!!
Over-rated rendition despite the paraphernalia behind her.
Very beautiful xx
Wow 💛💛💛
Accordian player is a hero
Who else found this song because of Looking For Alaska?
Yes
Is this the right artist?
@@xenia1871 The original song is by Franz Ferdinand, this is a cover. The version in Looking for Alaska was by Young Summer.
@@haskna thanks
Uh-huh
Looking For Alaska
Real
very beautiful accompaniment, vocal performance. excellent
Nice job.
Thats fkn very decent
I keep returning to this heavenly performance, more than any other on youtube. I have no preconceptions about how Robert Burns should be sung, so I have little sympathy for those commenters who say it is not "authentic". I just know an angel when I hear one. And it's not just her perfect voice. She is so at ease, so glowing, so loving, so modest. It's as if she takes no credit for herself, just a messenger from heaven.
Well said.. The poem was not a song, so it can be interpreted in any way.. Rachel's way is stunning. Come back to Tobermory Rachel.. we love you here
Dude, yes
Absolutely agree, if it speaks to your soul and fills your heart then it's perfect.
Lovely lass and voice but next time learn the words 😨🎼
This certainly beats hearing those that persist in pronouncing the word syne as zyne ; accents one can accept not mispronounced words .
