Before pinning the pot down with clay, the pot needs to be centered. Take a look if pot is thick or thin and know how much you can trim off. Check if if inside and outside are matching. Is this the same for air dry clay too? I don't use a wheel but I make jewelry dishes and I have trouble with it getting stuck on surfaces. How long should I wait to cut it off?
