Majestuoso!
No tu mejor aterrizaje, espero ;-)
I’m jealous, It’s snowy here Hopefully I’ll be able to fly again soon That crash you were LUCKY 😅 otherwise good flight
nice on 5S pack! Did you have to upgrade ESC? My Freewing panther is really fast on 4s, wonder if it could handle 5s- the speed would be blistering -:) I'm guessing the sizes are kind of limited with 5 s packs though.
Hi Tom, thanks for watching and commenting :D That´s the fun about posting a video :) It seems early this year I already watched a video of your Panther, after I went to see your channel a few days ago. Probably it´s YT-algorithm :P Excuse me for replying so late. Last week I had some work and then I forgot. Yes, I think all planes come with the cheapest ESC for the needs of the edf. This had a Predator (Hobbywing Skywalker V2) 40A that is only capable of 4S lipos and also the current should be around 55A or maybe 60A with a really good lipo. At least that were the readings for my first attempts on my Futura 64mm in the spring. I had changed that after a few flights to 6S QX 2400kV Edf (that sounded not so nice as the 6S 2500kV Freewing by the way) and after crashing went back to 4S and then tried 5S. Of course I had changed the ESC there also. To an 60A (Surpass Hobby or now Skywalker V2). They don´t weight so much more. For this F-16 I even did just adapter cables to change it faster to the stock 40A if needed. For the first tries I got some 1300mAh drone Lipos (from Ovonic) which weight 180g, exactly the same as the 4S 2200 mAh I was using back then. So with that extra 300-400g of thrust the plane is a rocket. I have a short of that Futura taking of vertically like a Mig 29 xD th-cam.com/users/shorts7agE3yO2dJc?si=MFKP1lrJhG_biUtV after I even tried 6S on the stock motor but that was when it began to be fried, after on 4s it was as slow as a 3 year old RC car on the gras . You can tell also that 6S pack was 100g heavier th-cam.com/users/shorts5XBxy51KEJw?si=Y2DNdOWRmpc6VyPV . Also a vertical take off with the light 1300 5S on this F-16 (but in low quality) th-cam.com/users/shortsYOvm_OdxzKQ?si=oFqggIf9vK-z4sL4
So you totally could do the test with your panther :D If it´s for blistering speed as you say I would try a very small lipo or even a LiIon pack with smaller 18650 cells. That would be around 250g and if you use like Molicel P30Bs would have 3000mAh although you should be gentle with the high speed passes or look that the cells get enough air to cool down. About CoG it depends on the type of plane. The Futura 64mm has a super large canopy/battery compartment so you can even place my 6S 4500 mAh LiIon pack without any concerns: th-cam.com/users/shortsDcIqg1c3yO4?si=ImnHe91QM1fJmTIK. But the most 64mm haven´t so much space. This F-16 has good space but way far away from CoG so that placing my 4500 5S is difficult. I first built a 4S that I needed to fold into a compact form to try to get the CG (still a bit nose heavy or around manual CG) and the extra cell for 5S I soldered cables to plug that in series in put it more into the plane. You can maybe see it on the video... But enough of typing boring stuff :P Cheers and have good flights!!
Woh, das ist Power 💪 👍

Now that I remember he told me not to post it but I think he meant just the WhatsApp group because of the noise and some guys maybe not liking that…. The other day I flew my mirage in the evening and it sounded cool also
Ah yes 70mm Love the sound on your take off 🤩🤩
Yes Sir :D those FMS fans sound cool I find... although those preinstalled ones don´t have the metal cap on he fan that supposely should make an even better sound. I had that replacement (v2 pro) fan on my V1 Avanti 70mm back in the beginning of my Edf-Flying-Era (this year xD) and it sounded awesome too. I think the same.. I need to remaiden this plane. I need just to glue some small plastic parts and hope that everything fits together. If it works I post a video and try to insert the picture from after the crash xD
Nice flight 👍 And landing!!!🤩 Is that Viper a 64mm or 70mm?
Hi Kelly, thanks! It was just a bit of practice and the flight is pretty boring I see now xD She felt a bit nervous with the slight crosswind. I was a bit afraid of her because I had some bad landing experiences. The next flights I slowed down much more and they were almost greasers. It´s the 70mm and those FMS fans sound very cool live. At least I like them :) The landing was a bit rough too... I´ll upload the other better landings too :) Thanks for watching although it was boring xD

The mirage is a torpedo!! Nice flying 🤩
Kelly, always like before watching xD xD xD hahahaha just for my humble channel :) Yes she is fast but on the beginning I thought she would be far more faster... I´m thinking to buy a new one for around 300 bucks now. That would have the landing gear what would be fun to test also. But the Avanti 80mm, L-39 and 90mm are waiting also... xD (on the Mirage I have now the newer fan but haven´t flown it yet. I had some problems too less time. I have an 8S Esc so I have more options to test. Just I think the edf isn´t balanced properly. But doing that would take some time and patience....)
I had problems filming on the weekend. My RunCam did not save the films on the card. By customer service I now learned which partition and format I need. Do you record just on HD or 4K. Because by default TH-cam shows HD (1080P). Ill try that now... On Sunday I had so much fun flying my 70mm F-16 and using a narrow road :D
there were some spectators too :P

@@lmoraisvieira Hi Luis! Yes! I now saw this video again before sending it to you and I was impressed how nice I flew. It was just the model I think 🤣 The start was with gyro and then without. But it was totally calm. We were working at the field before so my muscles were not relaxed but it worked cool! Very sorry for this model. I have a new one but it was a bit of work to put the EzeKote on the foam and adapt to 6S also…
Amazing jet, flight and landing so smooth!
@@lmoraisvieira thank you very much!!!! :D I was just lucky :) Landing I had even to to put the flaps in again. But it was a bit too fast I think…
Ola Francisco! Sad to see her going to the ground! Hope she is ok now! I know very well what is it when I was trying to fly my Freewing F86 sabre that a friend gave to me. He was tired of stalling all the time 🤣
Olá Luis Claudio! Well, this was a bit dissapointing because before I could launch here super easy by hand and days ago I had the remaiden after almost the full destruction. I posted one picture a few posts before on RC Groups. But sometimes I had problems on our grass with this one. That day I had full flaps plus snap flaps. So a lot of drag and as you say a stall. Just today I saw this video on my camera again. I was looking for some very nice videos I shot on sunday flying and landing on a very narrov pavement street hear near by my town. With some spectators. It was very fun and I had one crash without damage but great landing on the street. Sadly the damn SD card was corrupted or I don´t know what happened but no video was saved to the fu***ing card hahaha My F-16 still flies although the nose is pointing down hahaha You will surely love yours!!
@@ficosk8 You need to find a better place to fly her my freind, instead of that grass, she suffers a lot! Buy a new SD card and record a new video for us!
@@lmoraisvieira Well I have a street near to where I live but you need always to look for people, cyclist or cars to use the "runway" hahaha. The stupid SD card did not save my last videos. They were very fun with some people looking and some near mistakes xD I have formatted the card again and I´ll see. It´s an original SanDisk so it should be good. Yes the F-16 suffers a bit but she is a warbird and half tank I think xD hahahaha

This Flight was awesome! @@ricardopr54 jajajaja disculpa Ricky!
I have never tried to fly my EDFs off of grass. Love the videos and subscribed to you! 😊
@@rchobbyandmoreeverydayisagift Hi! Some planes have a hard time on grass ops 🤣 But some are very good with it. Some good thing is they slow down quickly. For some narrow landing gear planes as the F-16teens or 18teens maybe too quickly above all if they are small. Some lightweight plane also break their landing gear off quickly if you are just a tenth of a pound to hard on landing 🤣 I have a buttery landing on my Focke Wulf 190, but every other landings was boom 💥 🤣 Thanks for liking and subscribing! I have been enjoying and envying a but your “airfield” 😆 I have a small street near by but in my mind it is much easier to land as when I’m in the air and approaching to land hahaha the road gets narrow and sometimes cars, cyclists or strollers pass by 😆 Last year when I was still learning on my T-28 even a guy stopped with his car and began to tell me about bird protection and where not to fly and similar 😅
Sehr schönes Modell 🎶👍👍👍
Is that you flying? If it was, congratulations 🎊 👏🏽 well done amigo...👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👌👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🎊🎉😊 Like#3
For better battery longevity I recommend make that cut off on 2.9V. Looks like a bit tail heavy but is better for landings. Maybe making a good mix in 2% of down elevator with throttle for fast passes will be nice.
@@DIY500AMP Hola amigo! You’re totally right. I was wondering and thinking at the beginning, that turning the voltage cutoff totally would be the way to go. But as this plane and ESC are older I had just the possibility to reduce it to 2,8V. Also 3,0V would be possible I think. Under max load and after hitting that 2,8V cutoff measured voltage per cell between 2,5-2,6 but getting to 2,5V what would be bad. I don’t know if logevity is so important for me because like 100-200 cycles would be enough probably. But better though 👍🏼 you know about planes I see’ 👍🏼 this plane is maybe 1cm behind the manual CoG so pretty ok for being a Delta. It flies awesome. But yes, for speed I need to pitch down more. Also the CG is always changing between Lipo and LiIon because the canopy has little space and then the trim changes. But I think I’ll let this so. Thank you very much for passing by and commenting! You have an awesome channel! I looked a bit more about the BAK 2170-45D and for 1-2 Min 40A test they have less voltage sag and temperature than my P45Bs. I think I’ll test them out because JP40 are still expensive. Or I order 200 and try to get rid of the most of them…
@@ficosk8 It is my pleasure my friend. I want to test the BAK 21700-45D. I need to order few for testing. In the ESC I depending how many AMP (LOL) is your load will choose to 3V or 2.8V. 2.5V is to low and 3V still has good capacity left but if is a very low load and you are hitting 3V, I rather land the plane.
@ thanks my friend! Well, I looked and this old ESC had only low (2,85V), middle (3,15V) or high (3,3V). But was designed for LiPos surely. I’m changing the power system to the newer inrunner Motor/Edf 3658 2150kV which will load more the cells I suppose and put also a new Vgood 8S capable ESC with 120-140A to try a 7S configuration also. I’ll think I’m gonna order some of that BAK cells. They are a bit better than the Molis I have and a lot cheaper than ordering from Asia. Also cheaper than the P45Bs I have. The P50Bs are coming on December to Germany and would be a nice alternative for large capacity but a bit more expensive around $8 each. It’s a interesting topic this of LiIons :D
@ and my CG will tend to go more tail heavy even because of the heavier inrunner which also goes more far back then outrunner motors. So I’ll need to change the cell position. Will be tricky, but fun I hope :))
@@ficosk8 I will stay away of the P50B because they run very hot comparing with JP40 or EVE40PL. If you cant get JP40, try the EVE40PL. I cant talk about the BAK yet since I haven't tested. The one that run cooler is the EVE40PL under constant load. The more power delivery is absolutely the JP40 but the EVE is not that far. The Molicel P45B and P42B they just run super hot to be even chosen with the new tabless cells technology. Molicel P50B is not tabless.
Nice work dude!
@@TwoBrosRC hey Jon! Thanks for taking the time to pass by and to comment! @@georged.1439 Gerne! @@kellyellerbroek9222 slowly I’m beginning to gain confidence. This was my 7th flight with her. On the weekend I remembered what you told my about this being a more difficult model. I indeed had some issues with her being twitchy. But after two more flights with a bit more of light in the sky it became much better. I’m also getting more confidence on the ruder. But what it’s really super sweet for a novice as me is that she does not bite you suddenly. She just looses altitude when stalling. Need to take more care of low high alpha flying and having enough throttle to punch out but until now she works fine and has began to be my most loved jet 🤣 (Until I crash, but I hope not too)
😮Hope it’s fixable!!! I did say to try Avanti 😆😆😄 Hand launching is SOOOO DIFFICULT!!!
@@kellyellerbroek9222 yes you said!! But the last time you said that I think I had already crashed this (2 weeks ago). But probably I’m wrong 🤣 Well, this was super easy to hand toss in the summer when my landing gear wasn’t working properly. But after Talking off with half flaps I tried here full flaps and snap flaps. So that were like air brakes. Most of the time I learn the hard way… Just curious why she rolled to the left. She was about to fly I think. Yes, just the spar was broken. Waiting for the cheapo replacement. The glue foam to foam and a small plastic piece. But this jet really handles well rough landings and crashes. The front fuselage was already completely destroyed on August 1th taking off when it was getting dark. She was 48hours in a corn field. But I did not need any replacement. Even the imploded Rx worked. Just a lot of glue and Epoxy for strengthen things in the front. The battery bay is now stiffer than before. Just not flat on the inside :P… I need to prepare the Avanti 80! But in the meantime I got a 70mm BAE Hawk from FW also with the high performance Edf. Maybe it would be good too (?). @@ficosk8 I’m thinking that the F-16 and the Mirage will be more difficult than the others
@@kellyellerbroek9222 I think that the bigger F-16 will be more difficult. Also I don’t know how much power she will have on a standard 3670 1900kv Fms fan and running from gras. I’ll try that out on 7S or 8S LiIon cells with two in parallel or just one, but that would be probably hard to balance (CG). For me lighter planes are easier to control still. Also I have the problem that I like to fly (too) slow hahaha
Great hand launch👍 You flew it very well it’s a difficult jet I hear its twitchy 🤩🤩 I need to try those batteries some time!!!
@@kellyellerbroek9222 Hi Kelly and thank you very much 🤭☺️! The launch was indeed good I see now :P. The flight was just Ok but at least in one piece into the car again hahaha I suppose I was a bit to careful so I never got her into a nice 30-45 degree high alpha for really slow down. So it was more gliding :P but really nice. You should try a Mirage! They are twitchy but super stable. No bad tendencies. So I suppose a beginner could fly this one on Safe or Reflex stabilised. I’ll try to make some aerobatics with her next time and don’t fly as a pussy 🤣 I would like to test a cobra, tight low turn, barrel rolls and inverted but with some altitude :) The battery did very good! I need to try to reprogramm the esc to shut down the cut off or reduce it. Do you know if old Freewings can be programmed with Hobbywind LED or LCD box? I have both… Or Spektrum Box :P But after measuring speed I’ll put in the newer 3658 2150kv and a 8S esc :)
@@ficosk8 Yes you should be able to program it probably will need a program card for it though 8s would be insane 😆😆😆
@@kellyellerbroek9222 I dropped a question on RCG I think but haven´t heard something. I haven´t seen any Freewing cards and I think the older ones are relabeled Skywalkers V1. And those work with the LED cards. I´ll see if it works :) Yes, 7S should be just a bit better than 6S lipo, or similar. But 8S should be a plus. Just wondering how the cells perform. But the Mirage doesn´t need so much throttle so they should have time to cool down. Also my Mirage was crashed and repaired by one of the former owners (curious were and how much she flew..) and the canopy has some serious gaps all over with the fuse and this seem to work great as air intakes, cheaters, and pack cooling hahaha
@@ficosk8 if it’s a skywalker esc they do have programming cards But I’m not sure on the freewing esc
@@kellyellerbroek9222 Yes, Skywalker v1 are with LED cards and V2 with LCD Box (those work also with some other HW Escs). And Freewing seem to be HW Escs too. I have old and newer ones... need to test. Because I don´t want to use the stick-programming. I have done that just one or two times. The last time I wrote the sequence on a paper to do it right...

Is that an automatic lawn mower for your flying field? That’s so COOL 😎
Hi Kelly! Cool you pass by 👍🏼 Yes it is. He works everyday at every hour just taking some naps on his charging station. He was about to changed for a 4x4 companion because he gets often stuck with grass on the wheels or if he finds some molehill. But this summer he did a great job as well as our groundskeeper and the runway was almost as manicured 😅😁 The lawnmower Roboter is a Husqwarna but I don’t know the model. Some guys have an app on their phone and can see his status. The newer ones make a programmed route but this guy does his route aleatory 🤣
This mowers are pretty usual here. I’ve seen many mowing gardens just beside the streets without any fences. In some countries (as in Chile weren’t grew up) they would mowe probably just one time until they convert to souvenirs 🤣
Nice hand launch👍😄 How much longer can you fly using those batteries?
I was a bit nervous about that hand launch because she is considerably heavier and las weekend I booked some crashes 😅 After watching the video I realised that I launched her too steep, around 45* so the right wing stalled. Luckily I turned the stabilisation for launch :) This was just the first test and I did not want to fly too long. But after that 2 minutes I had still 4,05V per cell. LiIon can be drained up to 2,5V. For having some security/buffer before landing 2,7-2,8V. So there is plenty of time. After the flight I put the plane on static full throttle to complete the 4:30min of the timer (over 25% of throttle) and then still the cells had 3,7V. So easily I could fly +10 mins on mixed throttle. Maybe next time a put the GPS in to measure speed and distance. Probably that are some good miles 🤣
@@ficosk8 That’s amazing!!! having 10 minute flights 🤩🤩
@@kellyellerbroek9222 I hope so, but I’m also nervous. Hahah I’m always happy if I land and everything was Ok. If I begin to gain too much confidence I do silly stuff and the planes get some scars or… get accordion 🪗 like dambed into the ground 🙈I need to check my Battery it seems on balancer cable isn’t working… soldering mishap after flying I guess
@@kellyellerbroek9222Hi Kelly, I probably will Not be able to test this plane again because I think I had a receiver issue with my LemonRx and bad Failsafe program so that the plane came down on a normal flight with Lipo :( I’m trying to repair it. Hey Pilot Will, thank you for your comment and your motivation!! If it was by me I would fly every single day. Well maybe not the day after a bigger loss but the day after xD Thanks!! This was like a milestone for me I think. Now I dare something bigger than 64/70 class and I have a couple waiting in the hangar :)
@ficosk8 You can do it man. I've come to find bigger flies better so when you're ready go for it. Nothing to fear all planes are meant to fly and land in one piece.
Man that thing went vertical 😮
@@rcpilotwill hahaha yes!! It’s tricky to steer on the grass. On the first attempt a couple of weeks ago she tipped over and broke the missile holders. Than I wanted to throw her as usually but the angle was to extreme on 4S and the additional pack weight (that flight 4S 2600) plus the landing gear made a short vertical and full gas into the ground. The fuse broke badly and I was mad. But with some precautions and flaps she takes off nicely on 4S and vertical on 5S 🤣 😆

@@dagobertosalazar hola Dagoberto! No, lamentablemente.

Saludos!!
First airplane model that I ever see flying with 7S!

Darn! The end was heartbreaking 😖 Happened to my Yak 130... sudden stall and crash. But man, I loved the FMS Avanti. Such e great flying plane.
Yes for me too xD More because not 30 min before I had stalled my Futura 64 which did not have more than 10 flights I think. But in both cases the fault was behind the transmitter xD In this case I banked her without turning (I don´t know why, maybe because the right turns aren´t mine) and after a second of course she stalled. Also I was unprepared to react. Now I have stalled many times my Futura 64 being to slow on turns and at least I can react... Thanks for the comment! And I share your opinion, this is such a great flier! Slow or fast, low or high, every time super. Just my landing gear is poor.
70mm edf are so fun they turn on a dime and go pretty fast! You can turn and land right at your feet. I’ve got a short doing quick landings with one . Have fun✌🏽
I’ll watch that! I have been learning on the futura 64 and it’s cool to fly and land on a deep dive with full flaps :P But the Avanti 70 V1 flies much more cool and smooth! But I have more respect for landing that one. And the F16 is much quicker on landings. I’ll need to train more and try high alphas. I have just around 4 flights with her. I’m looking for the Avanti 80 :) I have a Viper 70 and 90 from FMS waiting :)))
@@ficosk8 freewing 90mm f16 ? That’s a beast! Definitely not a beginner edf. Many a good pilots have lost her. Be careful . I’m sure you’ve heard but, bigger does fly more stable if all things equal.
