Hi. I have a problem with sending a video broadcast to another user. Within the same network, Wi-Fi works. If the network is different, not anymore. Maybe someone will explain something. Thanks
I’ll be releasing a tutorial on how to livestream video to any device in the next few days! I’m in the process right f editing it as we speak. 🔺
Great video! Thank you! Curious what strobe light are you using?
On that model Mavic 3 they come with that style strobe built into the frame of the aircraft. When ever I have to add a strobe I go with either lumecube.com Or www.firehousetechnology.com
@SkynetDroneSystems Hey! Great tutorial, however I have an issue, after I done everything from video I'm able to control the drone, but I don't have any input from camera (It's all black). I see info like battery status and so on, bot no video. I'm using Mavic 3 with DJI RC-N1. Can you help me out please?
Are you using ATAKGo or ATAKGoV5? If you’re using the Mavic 3 with the RC-N1 try using ATAKGo instead of ATAKGoV5. Is the device you’re running ATAK on that’s attached to the RC-N1, Android or IOS? Sometimes it’s the little things like: Have you hit the play icon when you return to UAS tool after using ATAKGoV5 or ATAKGo? If that doesn’t fix it let me know! 🔺
@@Skynetdronesystems I'm using ATAKGoV5, somehow I'm not able to pair ATAKGo with drone (rc), It seems like it didn't recognized it. But I'll try it again. I'm using android. And I don't know about that playbutton.
When you return to the UAS tool from ATAKGoV5, on the black screen where the battery info displays in the top right. If you look to the left, in that same window, there should be a white triangular “play” button. That’s how you normally turn on and off the camera feed from the aircraft. Did you do the installation of both the UAS tool and ATAK from TAK.Gov? Having those versions compatible initially is the most import part of the whole process. I know it can be frustrating to get this up and running. BELIEVE me. But it’s worth it once it is🔺
Outstanding, finally someone has taken the time to cover this topic and with the latest Mavic 3T too! Thank you, please keep these ATAK tutorials coming.
Thank you! Roger that we’ve got more OTW! 🔺
Did it that way and woks flawless!!
AWESOME job! It can be a true test of someone’s patience to get this software installed correctly. I’m so glad the tutorial was helpful 🔺
Excellent vid. I’m going to dig into this with my m30T and flight hub2
You should be able to follow the tutorial exactly as I did with the M3T and RCPRO. Let us know how it works! 🔺
@@Skynetdronesystems will do👍🏻
@@Skynetdronesystems Seth (dumb question incoming) … paid or free version o FH2?
Looking forward to the live stream tutorial. Hopefully its soon!!
It’s in the works! I’m also going to cover installing Wintak onto a windows system/virtual machine to use as a mobile command GCU. Thanks for the support! 🔺
Any way to get the matrice 300 smart controller to work? App just crashes. I was told the controller just doesn't have the resources. I'd like to not have to purchase the rc+ if I don't have to.
I did some research and it appears that you can get it to run on the smart controller. This video is with an M2E aircraft and using the smart controller th-cam.com/video/k3HDK-ahkaM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CkWTg9bV_5VXy6gq You should be able to especially since that’s an enterprise model controller and UAV. Try following the steps in the tutorial and get the latest software from Tak.gov. I had a similar issue and it was a software version being incompatible with DJIGoV5. Let us know how it goes! 🔺
Anyone have luck getting the 3rd party accessories to work? I have a CZI spotlight that I cannot operate through the uas tool.
I haven’t tried running the CZI spotlight with the M3T and ATAK. But I’ll do some research and see what I can find out. 🔺
I have been looking for exactly this FOREVER! Thank you so much!!!!!!! Do you have any info on how i would view the video from the drone on an laptop connected to a Tactical Manet?
Interesting. I haven’t tried that yet but I’d imagine that since you can get a laptop to function as a ground control unit in the same server as the mobile devices. There must be a way to pull the aircraft feed for the person operating the laptop. I’ll do some research and get back to you. 🔺
@@Skynetdronesystems I'll play around with it too. I have access to multiband radios! If i figure it out ill message
Roger that! 🔺
@@Skynetdronesystems Hey again brother, I managed to get ahold of a DJI Mini 4 Pro with the DJI RC 2 controller. the menu structure to get to settings is different than the video but i managed to get to the install step for ATAK. it gave me an error sying the user isnt allowed to install apps. After some google'in I think its because the RC 2 controlled doesnt llow you to install 3rd party apps. Do you know anything bout this? What controller are you using?
Good to hear from you again! I used the enterprise DJI RC PRO that came with the Mavic 3T. I know that even the standard RC PRO (non enterprise edition) has issues installing some 3rd party software. If you’re using DJIGoV5 try switching it to DJIGo. I know that some RCs block the installation of 3rd party software. I’m not familiar with how the RC 2 is designed in that respect. However I do know that you can get an Android tablet or phone to run it with that aircraft. With some of our older aircraft I use Android tablets then activate a hotspot on my phone or tablet to connect to. That way if you do need to purchase a device at least you’re not having to pay a monthly fee to have it active. I hope that helps, however I wouldn’t give up on the RC 2 running it yet either. There might be a way to get it installed on that platform without having to purchase any new equipment. Let us know what you find! 🔺
The only problem - it will not work on the battlefield. There is no GPS on real war.
10000000%
We’ve been experimenting with adding meshtastic modules to the UAVs to increase long range off grid coms. I’m not sure if that would be beneficial in the circumstances you mentioned above. However it’s a fantastic way for someone looking to extend their long range communication abilities in emergency services/situations. If it’s something people are interested in, we can cover that in the near future for sure. 🔺
You may get the drone to work easily, but you actually loose any benefit ATAK gives you. So when there is no GPS just use standard app to fly
Bravo Zulu!!!
Thank you! 🫡🇺🇸
Very detailed and helpful- I love the step by step instructions- awesome tutorial- great job!
Thank you! 🔺
Does this work with the M30 and RC plus enterprise?
I can’t say with 100% confidence since I haven’t loaded the software onto the M30 yet. But from what I’ve read, both the M30 and the RC plus will run the software without any issue. DJI tends to let 3rd party software run on the enterprise edition aircraft. Since the RC Plus is a designated enterprise controller, you should have no problem running ATAK and the UAS plugin. In fact you should be able to follow this tutorial for the M30 as well. Let us know how it works out! 🔺
It works just fine on the M30T and the RC Plus
Thank you for answering that! 🔺

What a fantastic tutorial! I’ve looked everywhere to find something covering how to install the UAS plugin!!!
Thank you Frank! 🔺
Excellent video with very detailed description. Any performance issues with running TAK on the controller?
Thank you! I haven’t experienced any issues in controlling the aircraft to date. In fact I’ve found myself wishing the mission I was flying in Pilot 2 was in ATAK quite a few times recently. There’s just so many options at your fingertips when using the UAS software inside the ATAK ecosystem🔺
What’s the payload weight without the kit?
The entire payload (cable lock, carabiner, dry bag, bottle of water, tourniquet and strobe) weighted 1.9lbs. The device comes in right around .2lbs 🔺
Russia wants to know your location
Not exactly great news! 📰
Great Job new to your channel liked and sub bud. Im Joe btw.. Ive been a drone guy for years mostly Phaeton 4 platforms anyways, Calibration? Do I have to recalibrate my drone/motion controller 2 and goggles everytime I get a update? took my avata out yesterday and I noticed my goggles were not straight and the controller wasnt straight and Idk the drone was prob off. it seem like my drone was fighting me with the controller. idk you tell me. seemed strange???
I literally went through this yesterday. It’s only happened one time before so not something I do prior to every flight by any means. Turn everything on, goggles, motion controller 2 and the aircraft. Inside the goggles, go to settings, control, calibration. Calibrate the IMU. (I’d calibrate the compass etc as well while you’re in the menu) The aircraft will run like it’s on rails again 🔺
Thanks for the instruction.........but after setting up the flight route for my home project, the calculated number of photos for all 5 routes came to 91, indeed all routes added up to 91. But after the mission, my "Home-Oblique" folder had 154 photos, 63 more than was calculated. This is my first try at it and am wondering if I did something wrong, thanks.
Most times it’s as simple as a change in the value of the pixel to centimeter data. In other words you captured a higher resolution set of data with a smaller centimeter per pixel ratio. Check to see if the mission altitude in FlightHub 2 is the same as the executed mission data in Pilot 2. Go to the project and take a look at each routes info. It’ll show you the amount of photos taken. When you setup your oblique routes it will automatically set one of them to do an orthomosaic (top down) route as well. Perhaps the ortho route added the extra images? There shouldn’t be that many ortho shots associated with that number of oblique photos taken. However I’d start there. Then take a look at the photos themselves to see if you can identify what route they are associated with. Whatever it is, it’s a very simple fix! 🔺
@@Skynetdronesystems I set the mission altitude at 100 feet (using Alt Mode), but going back into the flight library it said 101.3 feet. In Pilot 2, the flight record indicated that the mission was performed at 95 feet, while the Mapping Quality Report indicates the avg flight altitude was 82.74 ft. Are these differences a normal occurrence? Looking at the 3D image, there's areas shown far enough outside the planned area that, it seems anyway, they really shouldn't be there, perhaps that the difference, IDK. In the Flight Route Library, the ortho flight was 19 photos, while the oblique routes were: 19, 17, 19, 17. Checking the actual photos, there appears to be 11 additional photos on the ortho run, perhaps the oblique runs had addtional as well and that's the difference, again, IDK. I was finally able to determine by overlaying the individual photos on the map that each oblique route contained, respectively, additional photos: 11, 15, 11, and 15 more photos..........when adding the 11 additional ortho photos, the total difference equals the 63 photos over the 91 that were calculated originally. So now, I just need to understand why this occurred..........is it because of the lower " average" flight altitude, and if so, I wonder why the mission altitude was altered from what entered in the Flight Route Library. Suffice to say I'm understanding more of this now.
You’re doing great navigating the software and performing these flight missions! It seems like there were a few additional photos taken during each flight route when the mission was performed in Pilot 2. I’ve noticed some variation in amount of images predicted to be taken inside FlightHub2 and the number captured during the mission in Pilot 2 as well. It might be just the software predicting the amount of photos that will be taken during the mission inside FlightHub2 and the amount taken during the execution in Pilot 2. Or it could be a slight deviation in the altitude/GSD which would cause it as well. Have you processed the data into a model and if so how did it turn out? 🔺
@@Skynetdronesystems Well, I was very impressed with it. But I don't understand the extra "pieces" of imagery far outside that light blue boundary that defines where the oblique flight routes were flown.......meaning, there's imagery even beyond the flight routes of the oblique runs. I'd upload a screen shot but can't here.
Roger that. It’s called “Margin” if you go into Flighthub2, select your project then scroll down on the far left slider to “flight route library”. Choose to edit your flight route by clicking the pencil looking icon next to the 3 dots. Scroll down on the left hand menu to advanced settings. Click on that, then scroll down until you find “Margin”. I checked one of my flight routes and it’s set to 0. Let me know if that solved the issue, if not we’ll get it figured out🔺
How did you get the job?
Contact your local power and utility companies. Explain to whoever you reach that you’d like to talk to someone about “Pylon” and wire maintenance. If they don’t know who that is, ask to speak to a facilities manager. Then tell him the same thing. 🔺

how well does i fly with 2lbs on it?
We didn’t have any issues with the aircraft’s performance at all. I’d recommend operating at a low and steady rate of speed while the payload is attached to the aircraft. 🔺
Are you designing an affordable option for matrice 350 by chance? Options for that unit is around 1k
We’re actually looking into developing various payload systems for multiple aircraft. The Matrice and enterprise lines would be our primary focus initially. Aiming for something that’s robust and cost effective for everyone. 🔺

How to take a photo...,i just try to take a photo with avata but not to do...
On the motion controller if you hold down the video button for 2 seconds it should beep and switch between photo and video modes. You can also use the menu inside the goggles by pushing the left toggle switch ⬆️ to open the camera settings menu 🔺
Have no clue how you don’t have a lot more subscribers. This video by far is way better than any other one I’ve seen explaining this so well. Definitely have a new subscriber here and looking forward to seeing more of your content.
Thanks so much @buskey81 I really appreciate it! 🔺
For some reason my new motion 2 controller won’t pan the camera… do I need to do something to map that?
The aircraft SHOULD turn in the direction you twist your wrist. However you can activate head tracking inside the goggle menu if you’re looking to do some orbit shots where the aircraft circles the target 🔺
Sadly I’m using the goggles for my FPV (goggles v2 I believe) as I purchased the avata refurbished without its original equipment and the Gv2 doesn’t seem to support that function (specifically camera pitch). I was hopeful I could map the <FN> dial on the motion 2 to control camera pitch. Appreciate your video and your response. It’s also possible I’m expecting a feature the Avata simply doesn’t have (just want to be able to look near 90 deg down)
I’m not 100% positive because someone may know of a feature I’m not aware of however I don’t think the Avata has a “look down” feature. On the original motion controller used to pilot the DJI FPV there’s a toggle switch to flip the camera downward at a 90* angle during landings. Never tried it while operating in any other conditions. Aircraft like the DJI mini, Air and Mavic series have cameras that will give you the desired effect you’re looking for. 🔺
Very dramatic music!!!
Adding the music is the final step in my editing process! So after all the tedious clipping and cutting I go searching for something EPIC! 🔺
Really appreciate this well done video. Saved so much time trying to find any decent documentation from DJI.
Thanks so much! Hopefully it makes navigating the software, equipment and aircraft a little easier! 🔺
Very good video
Thank you so much! 🔺
So looking to upgrade from v1 fpv goggles to some integra how is the battery life in real world does it die fast ?
With a full charge on the INTEGRA goggles I can run a 3 battery set rated at 20 min each for the Avata and 2 battery set for the DJI FPV as well. Total of 5 batteries with no issue or need to use an external battery bank. 🔺
@@Skynetdronesystems wow thats plenty i just hope the fov is ok compared to v1
The FOV seems to be on par it’s the eye foam that still has some fit and fog issues for me. Even with the soft foam upgrade I still don’t get the same comfort and anti fog in the V1 or V2 Goggles. They may fit your face perfectly and you’ll have no issues at all. I’m still playing around with getting them situated perfectly for my noggin lol 🔺
Good tutorial and just subscribed.
Thanks so much! Hope the tutorial was helpful 🔺
How close did you fly the M3T to the power lines? What voltage did they carry?
I was on average 100 ft above the lines that were carrying 115kV 🔺
@@Skynetdronesystemsand what about side distance?
In this case I couldn’t get much access at all to the sides of the towers because of the trees. But I try to keep 100 ft away from the wires just to avoid any potential hazards. The SOP for operating around high voltage wires is 100 ft away. (I’ve seen some recommendations of 250 ft posted) You shouldn’t have any issues operating at that distance above or to the sides of the wires. However I’ve read instances where pilots flying under the wires have had issues with the GPS signal to the aircraft. 🔺
@@Skynetdronesystems well...I'll may have to get as close as 65 ft. to the power lines. 🤷♂️
You’ll be 100% good to go at that distance. I’ve seen inspection videos where the UAV was inside of 25 ft of wires. I WOULDN’T recommend flying THAT close to the lines! But to put your mind at ease about the safety of your upcoming flight mission, you’ll be fine. 🔺
This was the perfect tutorial. Good job. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. Thank you, Skynet
Thanks so much! 🔺
What about the return home 😢
Ugh! To activate the return to home feature, hold down the mode select button. Sorry I forgot to include that in the tutorial. Thank you for pointing it out! 🔺
Greetings from Germany! First of all; THANK YOU for a great instructional video. It is really appreciated. I am using the DJI Mini 4 Pro and I recently purchased the Integra Goggles and the Motion 2 controller. Having tried it a couple of times, I must say it is more challenging than I expected. In your video you are chasing around the trees etc, which I found difficult. You can see the dot in the middle, but its hard to know where you actually are away from an obstacle. It will certainly take some time and effort to become proficient. One question or thought; up to now the DJY Virtual Fly app does not support the goggles and the Motion 2 controller, which would be an excellent tool to do some practice on. Does anyone know if, maybe in further updates, the DJY Virtual Fly app might be upgraded to include the googles and Motion 2 controller? Cheers😅
Thanks so much for the comment! You’ll get comfortable with the circle ⭕️ and feel for what you can fit the aircraft through! It really is unfortunate that they haven’t updated the Flight Simulator to use the MC 2. It would be a fantastic way to practice exactly what you mentioned above. I haven’t heard anything about a Flight Simulator update but I know that they’ve heard a lot about adding the MC 2 to the software. 🔺
❤❤❤
So I created an ortho and oblique mission in the Pilot 2 app on the controller, completed the flights, and am now trying to export the info into FH2 for processing. FB2 isn't allowing me to connect the controller/aircraft, or upload photos into FH2.. Any ideas?
The flight route was created in Pilot 2 on the controller and you’re looking to upload the data into FlightHub 2. I’ve experienced something similar recently. -Login to FlightHub2 on your controller through your internet tab -Try creating a project inside FlightHub2 and making that projects location correspond to your flight mission location on the map. -Turn on then Connect the aircraft to your controller. Go into your media files tab and then see if it will let you upload from the aircraft. If that doesn’t work let me know and I’ll try and figure out an alternative solution for you. 🔺
