Eh. No security feature is 100% secure. You can always find holes in it. Shall we get down to the embarrassing amount of security holes GNU and or Linux related tools have had over the years? No software is 100% secure in the large term lol. Sure, M$ can be criticized here but that's cuz' they are doing more than just "making a OS". They control the market and they will lie their way out if they need to.

Probably because Linux (depending on the distro) has not bloated itself to Jabba the "NSA Mole" Hutt levels over the years. Also, no search indexing service running in the background. And any number of other services that are not needed for you to use the OS (see: how to debloat windows). That said, there are issues with the GPU drivers and certain 4K monitors not playing nice, as NVidia and AMD don't really care that much about their linux drivers, which might impact gaming and things like running your desktop at 4K 120Hz.

I'd say depends on the workload and how many resources the computer has. With few resources or huge workload something minimal like Arch will be faster compared to Windows 11. But if we compare Windows XP to something a bit more bloated like Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, Windows XP will probably be faster because it consumes less resources. But generally I'd say the users won't notice a difference unless in computer-intensive tasks such as gaming.

On the contrary… not all updates are bad (in fact most forced updates are very necessary). if you don’t update certain things may not work properly or stop working. An ugly truth most Linux users don’t want to talk about is updates on Linux don’t always end well, some causing serious issues and/or even in some cases system crashes.

Big difference between Windows and Linux update: When i get Windows update I always go to read what's new feature I have. When i get Linux update I always think, crap what they broke now. Adobe and MS office is also supported on Linux, also like Nvidia and Wayland which is working amazing, Linux crap.
