(Our definition of all bosses is every boss required to reach the main story's end. I sometimes don't know all the optional bosses in a game beforehand, and would rather not spoil my first playthrough by looking it up. This also gives me an optional end point if I'm burning out, and don't want to tackle any post-game bosses.)

Most highly effective is dragon elements you can farm at pokke farm
I found a game that might interest you if you'r going to take a break from Monster Hunter after finishing Freedom Unite. God Eater is a bit shorter, but still as fun as Monster Hunter.
I'd never heard of that game before, but it looks really fun! I have a backlog of games to get out of the way before that, but I'll definitely keep an eye on it. I plan to do Resident Evil 2 Remake after this, since I'm familiar with it, and weirdly enough, it'll be a good one to wind down on for me.
@@BossFightArchiveIf you do finally get to God Eater, I'll immediately tell you a problem with recording a boss fight list for the game. Its a lot more lore heavy in game than monster hunter, which in turn means that recording only bosses makes a lot of situations seem out of context.
@Hazmat07 That's fine, most games are like that. I think people come to these videos more for the gameplay anyway.
40+ minute boss fight... youre goated just for playing that long
Keep going until you met Fatalis. Also until you beat Alatreon on MHP3rd.
Same thing from King Shakalaka can be applied here, except its even more annoying with how you have to summon her.
This is the first monster that taught me, "Don't judge the monster by its looks" fckingly kick my ass
Huh, I forgot about this one.... He was sort of annoying with heavy weapons but I don't remember much from fighting him..... But then again, if I dont have to deal with them, I prefer to not fight aggresive felynes in MH like Shakalaka or Gajalaka, since they are more often than not annoying. And don't get me started on the old Melynx.... Sheesh these guys were a headache.
Fun fact, the fight is actually different in frontier. Instead of sleep bombs and kicks it spams sleep spit and has an beak uppercut. Its also smaller and can be fought immediately. I actually prefer that version over what we got in freedom unite.
Butter smooth!
Im still not sure if I like or dislike this guy. On one hand its pretty fun with a team, but on the other its a giant waiting simulator. You'r likely to not even use anything but the dragonator. At least the Mohrans improved on the concept.... Only for Zorah Magdaros to screw it up. Siege fights in MH are really hit or miss aren't they?
That's honestly an issue with colossal bosses in gaming as a whole. They're always in large parts scripted, Lao-Shan Lung being overly tedious, and Zorah Magdaros being mind-numbingly simple. I think Capcom's started to figure out the maximum size for proper monsters, with Shara Ishvalda, where things like Zorah are more of playable cutscenes. They're no longer trying to put them on the same level as other monsters, like they did with this one in Freedom Unite.
Oh god, this guy. Alongside Gravios, Duramboros, Plesioth, World's Lavasioth and OG Fatalis trio, its one of few times when I say ,,f&$ it" and grab a gun, even in multiplayer. At least unlike Lao, he does actually do something with that acid cannon of his. On a side note, is there a possibility for a least liked to most liked list type of video for the monsters after beating all of them and finishing the game? If its not possible, then no need.
I generally like to keep the uploads on this channel solely centered around the fights themselves. Plus, I have many other things on my hands, so I'm unfortunately not able to spend as much time on this channel as I was before. I could make a tier list community page post for it when I'm done, we'll see what happens.
Man oldgen rathalos is always such a pain in the ass isn't he?
Second verse, just like the first, except lucky for you Teo has much more problems with turning so keeping close to his side is somewhat viable. And, you know, he didn't turn completely bulls$&t with time? I mean, He's still a pain, but still...
i now Realized that Fatalis's Theme is the Forest and Hills area
Gettin' better!
Second verse, not like the first. Kinda funny how Rathalos went up the power scaling and she fell down. At least flash bombs don't feel like a necessity due to her only having 1 attack that's in the air. Which can also be completely shut down by cutting the tail even in the older games.
4 minutes! Whoa! Astounding work man!
Ah yes, the original king of the skies. Constantly flying out of reach and sometimes even spamming the goddamn World Tour. At least flashbombs work infinitely before gen 3. And staying directly under him lets you avoid his worst attacks.
Ah yes, before the days of constant poison spam, Chameleos could be called a living chemical weapon. Defence down, stamina sap, force mute, a poison AOE and he stil could go invisible so good luck finding him with ni psycho serum or paintballs. I should have mentioned one more thing earlier though but i kinda forgot. Each elder dragon in this game has his own, lets call it aura. Kushala has a wind barrier, the Fire Lions have heat production, Kirin has thunder armor and Chameleos has his invisibility. With exception of kirin, each aura can be temporarily stopped by using aliments and completely by breaking the head and cutting the tail... As long as you have dragon weapons, because of course.
I hate this elder
Oh hell no, not this thing. If this version and her f***ng charge attack weren't enough, World gave us a different monstrosity. The final boss of Dos village, this bi**ch has a charge attack that, for some reason, is always aimed in a random direction. Combined with that middle finger for colorblind people of an explosion move and that giant ass flamethrower of hers and we get a fight that I struggle to know why people like it.
I was wondering how would you hit him with any melee weapon but you used a bowgun instead. Good, since its the only way to beat the giant laser tank without tearing your hair out. If you don't bounce off, you'll be set on fire or put to sleep. Also, fun fact, he can use a poison plume in the high rank version of the quest and you can get poison sacks from that quest too. Which isn't weird at first due to Gravios's relation to Basarios until you read that its explicitly said that Gravios can't use poison.
Good job though! Emulated?
Thank you! And yes, I use emulation to achieve 4K.
I hate everything about this fight. Black diablos, melynx, genprey, desert, area 3.
Majority of things that I said about Monoblos can be said here. But if I had something to add. If you really want to fight him as a blademaster then use a lance or a Gunlance. The other weapons technically work too but unless you want to have your previously unkown rage issues revealed then I wouldn't reccomend it. Even with one of the lances, you're still likely to quote civvie after he beat The Tyrant army in DooM Legacy of Rust.
I recommend using sns or LS
I think you use PPSSPP, how do you have a movable camera without the 2nd stick?
On the PSP Monster Hunter games, camera control was handled by the D-pad. It was a dynamic of swapping between character movement and camera movement. You could also press the left bumper, like in modern games, to reposition the camera forwards. And yes, I am using PPSSPP. I use a Dualsense controller, so I was able to map the buttons to the original layout.
Oh god, this pony from hell. The only thing I can recomend is patience and keen eyes to look for lights before the bolts hit and potentially a hammer, since you'll want to hit the head anyways due to it being the only hitable point of his body due to the thunder armor. Due to that fact, I dont know if capcom making him bigger in World is better or worse. What do you think?
The scale might have been an improvement, I'm not sure. I definitely feel like Kirin is less predictable in World, which I'm not a fan of. I think Kirin is just one of those monsters you don't hunt for fun, and that's something that will always come with it as part of it's design.
The Final Boss and flagship of Freedom 2 Pokke village and boy is the old Tigrex a pain. This stereoid powered bulldozer almost never stopped making it crucial to know when to attack and when to dodge or get out. That being said the old Tigrex doens't really hold up all that well. Especially with his newer incarnations being much more of a fun fight. Especially the Iceborne one. The best advice I can give here is to bring flashbombs and if you dont have them, make them. Other wise...well.... Have fun on the pain train, becouse it has no breaks.
My first elder dragon love it...
I hate tigrex
God I miss playing mhfu
Elder Dragons already? Wouldn't it be better to do them all in the village quests in one go with better equipment. Everybody has their methods and Kushala's and A certain other Elder's method is pissing off the blademasters specificaly. Unless you'r using a ranged, thunder powered or aliment inducing weapons, Don't go after Kushala without flashbombs. And even if you have those, pack a few flashbangs just in case. That Wind aura will prevent you from going near the damn thing and can even reflect bow arrows. Not piercing ammo so go ham with it if you can. Posion and other aliments also deactivate it for a short while but if you really want it to stop using it BREAK THE HEAD.
Yian garuga is basically a mutated rathalos+rathian. Same attack pattern.
Hardest game of the series but still my favorite
Ah yes, this mutant pain in the arse. Pretty much a literal ,,surprise!" Monster from Freedom 1, which otherwise is, or at least seems like just a port of G with a different guild hall, there are a few surprises here. First is there was a new monster added. Second is how that it looks like a Kut Ku, which might fool you into thinking its an easy fight, which is the third surprise, cause its not. Its as fast as Kut Ku and has has some of his physical moves, but otherwise it either has its own or uses the ones from a local flying wyvern. (in classic games Rathian and in Iceborne also Legiana). And forget worry about sonic bombs, it has its own with that goddamn screech. In summary. If that thing can send Deviljho packing, what makes you think you wont be next.
God I miss this game some days
You can always download PPSSPP and download a ROM of it. No time like the present!
@@BossFightArchive don’t tempt me now 🤣
Ah yes, the second invertebrate large monster in the series and the rules are already broken. Unlike Deimyo, most of Shoguns attacks do a decent chunk of damage, ON TOP of having disgusting range. The biggest offender would have to be the open claw walk which honestly might be as broken as a certain slipper dick and his hipcheck.
Also, you don't actually mind if I do these quick descriptions? Because sometimes I can go a bit off track in them.
You're completely okay, I don't mind in the slightest. I'm pleased to have such a passionate viewer, I never expected anyone to be so invested in my videos.
@@BossFightArchiveWhile I might keep myself from playing the games until Wilds comes out, I can at least help someone in some way with their Monster showcase. Also, there was an other guy who played the games in reverse and got from Sunbreak to portable third but he deleted his videos so if nothing screws up with the emulator or the videos for you, you might actually be the first one to cover technically the whole series.
It might just be me but for some reason the early games had monsters that seemed to be made to be taken out with a specific weapon. Lance for the Blos, Bowguns for Plesioth and for Basarios and his parent, either Bowguns too or Hammer. Otherwise have fun bouncing off more then in a rubber castle. And even then the Bowguns are more recommended since he can always expel fire, sleep or poison gas around himself.
へたくそ
Well, haven't seen this guy in a while. which is kinda funny considering he is more relevant to the lore of the series than his two horned counterpart. On the plus side at least there is no need to do the same fight 4 times. Diablos or Monoblos, they are both the same. A lot of charging and digging attacks making the monster relatively hard to hit. Not as much as the piscine wyverns but still. Luckily there are planty of ways to make the fight easier if your having trouble. There are multiple ledges where the monster can't hurt you but you can, ideal for ranged weapons and even with melee, in plenty of areas you can trick them into getting their horn stuck and go at it.
What could be considered a first roadblock and not a broken road (looking at you Plesioth) this snow mandrill can be quite the challange. He's mobile, has hard hitting moves and can immobilize you with the ice breath if he catches you with your pants down. Don't worry though. This is just a warm up for a real pain in the ass:)
Completing the raptordrome quartet, we have Iodrome, which is exacly the same as the others with the addon of spitting poison.... Why is he usually so far in the hunting ranks is beyond me but I guess his increased health is a factor to that.
Hey, remember that good intro boss earlier? Want to see a worse version of it? No not the crow, that one is a mix of a Kut Ku and a Rathian, Gypceros is a more literal worse Kut Ku. Having the same exact moveset, minus the fumbling part and silly stuff, this is neither a unique fight, or a fun one with the poison and flashbangs. If he wont get you while your stunned, the Bullfangos most definitely will. Kinda funny that not a lot of people know you can block the flashbang. It saves a lot of trouble
I'm gonna keep it simple here, all the recolors, they are just that, recolors. No new moves, just either harder armor, faster speed, or a preference for a specific move and thats it. That goes for all of them so I'm not gonna give a discription for the rest of the recolors in Freedom Unite.
Ah yes, the legendary hipfish itself. I'm not even gonna sugarcoat it, use the guns. His water beam attacks are literally the only one that work right and he will almost always spam them when your far away. Other wise, well, say hello to the ,,Hyperspace Tackle" (Screw you capcom for that one)
