Last year I bought a Cutco 10" chef knife for $0.99 at Goodwill. It's overpriced junk, as far as knives go. Certainly not worth the $170 Cutco wants for it. My wife uses it for things she won't risk her good knives on. Hard to sharpen and won't hold an edge.

I am impressed I have some old cutco knifes I have had for about 30 years. I just bought some new ones I will send the old ones in and see them use their magic.

Thats why they cost so much. Made in the USA and replaced or fix without receipt. I bought a set instead of getting a Japanese or German set of knives. Money well spent. Buy once, I say. Bought from a visiting sales rep a German vacuum cleaner called Vorwerk 18 years ago for 750 dollars. Its a tank. ABS plastic is bullet proof and motor runs forever. My knives will last much longer. Cutco has been around for 70 years. I think they make the famous Ka Bar Marine knives or are part of that company.

They waaaaaay over priced, i just looked at them today at Costco. I collect knives, i know a quality knife when is see one, I wanted to like them. My EdC was much sharper. The handel style is dated.The edge is terrible. The steel is cheap. The rep lied. They do a phoney snake oli presuetation.they have you cut a piece of leather half way . Then pull on either end as hard as they can and you cut the rest. My EDC would cut that first past like butter, There are so many better options today. People educate youself. Buy a better kinfe for less then half the price.

You will pay for theese about 1400 a set... if it works for you then great

Cutco is a pyramid scheme. At their price point you’d be a million times happier with a quality made knife set from Wusthof. Good grief folks, Cutco knives are stamped for crying out loud, they’re NOT forged!!!! Stop buying these flimsy knives. Grab the blade and barely move it side to side, crap is like a coke can.

my Uncle Martin was one of Cutcos OGs. our entire family uses these knives and have forever. my brother sends his in to get sharpened. he has set it in with missing knives, they replace them, he's sent in damaged handles (children melted), thry replaced them. you basically just get new knives imo, which is awesome

just sent in my 25+ year old Cutco knives for resharpening and they sent me back 2 brand new knives and sharpened the other 4. No message as to why they replaced it, I'm slightly bummed as the color doesn't match given how old my set is - but they certain stand behind what they sell.
