I was focusing on keeping my guard up, but was not able to hit back due too bad cardio and getting countered a lot.

How many times do you have to clinch bro 😂😂
Let's fight
Let me spar with you
You did good my guy.
southpaw needs to work on footwork. Puts Feet together and has to reset too much. easier to hit that way and dont back straight up. Good coach and seems like a good place to learn
gotta be aggressive with that kid. cant let him get going.
very nice 👍
Awesome
I am here to help you TH-cam channel bro
are you green shirt or black?
I'm the green shirt
Hello! If you want to develop great punching combinations in sparring, be sure to study the '400 Boxing Combinations' practice guide. It's a great way to improve your skills and become more confident in the ring!
I love on how they just stayed light
Nice head movement! Your right jabs are very effective especially given your range advantage. If you see him starting to guard your jabs more those are great moments to throw right hooks.
Great job man keep up the hard work
Great sparring, the guy in white has great defense, if i were you i would try and double up the jab more since he back pedals alot, you can chase him with the jabs and catch him with your cross
Damn that looks fun!
Let me spar with you
Looking good bro keep up the grind and the hard work it's paying off 💪🥊
looks like peak male expirience
Looking forward to what you post next
Looking good
Good sh!t
Wow. That guy looks like he knows how fight against south paw. Those left hooks are designed to throw you off because it's the side that's harder to defend as a south paw. I'd say, try to avoid moving right too much because you'd be stepping into those hooks. It seems like the moment he lands a clean left hook, he follows up with a cross. This is why it's good to have a good grasp on your fighting style and the pros and cons to it. That way you can come up with countermeasures against countermeasures. Also, near the end, he was watching and anticipating your jabs. Because of that, you got hit with a couple good crosses.
Yeah, he's in advanced class with me and there is another South Paw he usually spars against. Coach tells me the same thing, I gotta move towards his jab hand to get lead foot position and stop dropping My guard
Good footwork. Weaving in and out without losing ground. Well played. I'd say work on your follow up combinations. You have a good jab, but it seems like you have trouble connecting follow up punches. 0:32, 1:39, 2:57 - For example, when you stand in south paw and throw a jab, your left body shot leaves your head completely open. 2:37 - Also, although your pressure was good, there were examples of you being weak to pressure as well. Your main tool is the jab to keep your opponent at bay, but once your opponent moves past that and they're in the range where you're at a disadvantage, and you ended up being backed up into the ropes. Looking at this, it appears you do well as an Out-Boxer and your opponent as an In-Fighter. The thing about In-Fighting is that they need to take risks to get in. You just need to keep them out, and wait for that chance to throw that hook or uppercut when they overextend. My other piece of advice would be to watch carefully how your opponent reacts to your jabs. Every reaction gives a read on their strategy, personality, and reflexes. From that, you can always formulate a plan of how to open them up. You can throw feints, time your jabs off rhythm, condition them to block specifically the head to go for body shots, or completely switch up your tactics on them.
Thanks, for the advice I will make sure to think about it during practice and work on follow ups and feints. Also my guard needs to get a lot better. The kid I was going against was a year or 2 younger than me so I was trying not to accidentally hit him too hard.
isnt it bcs his feet are align ?
Let me spar with you
Looks tiring! :D
good job! i wanna box too but i feel intimidated by all the work i have to do to make in the ring!
If you join a gym and go to practice every day after 2 or 3 weeks you should be able to spar. You just need to have the basics down enough to where you won't get injured to spar.
Been twenty years since I sparred. Let me spar with you
Awesome
which one are you
I'm the one in the black headgear that keeps moving around a ton.
This is what sparring should look like. It's too often that you see people getting hurt due to people having their egos through the roof.
Better practice or ur gonna get ur ass best at hug lol

I never understood why American boxing style teaches a tall guy ignore his height and reach advantage using hooks, slightly squatting and leaning forward exposing himself to a shorter guy's striking range.
@@Levuppercut This was my first time sparring against these guys. It was pretty hard to figure out how to hit them, so a little bit of it is me leaning my head forward to try to get them to jab so I could get in range easier.
Also, I've been sparring people older than me with longer arms for a long time so I'm used to being more aggressive to try to get in range.
american is a really broad term, america is huge and its style of boxing varies as if it’s a couple different countries. but tall guy could just be working on his weaknesses
@@BTboxingI can understand why amateurs may do it, but I have been puzzled to see American profys do it pretty often. Deontey Wilder, for example, being a giant throws hooks, instead of straights, slightly squats and leans forward, instead of standing up, engaging in medium distance range instead of keeping distance, gets punished, and then does it again. I have seen it over and over. I should admit that not all American tall profys do it, but the tendency was there. I don't remember seeing Brits do it, neither boxers from the former Soviet Union(which use slightly modified British style).
@@Levuppercut there are many reasons to throw the hook, they are strong powerful shots, who’s main purpose is to obviate the guard or bring the guard around to the side so you can crack down center. tall or short there are reasons to do it
Keep working hard Gannon
😊
Nice brother, keep your spine straight when you doing the rows to avoid lower back injury ❤awesome physique
Proud of you bro.

Cool
Good stuff bro, but why be so flat footed all the time? Like jumping on toes to go forward and backward ain’t a formality in boxing, it’s actually useful Uk
My coaches told me that bouncing on my toes a lot can put me off balance and make it harder to throw my hips and shoulders into a punch, I'm gonna try to incorporate more movement into my sparring though.
@@ghawkb36 they aren’t wrong, but u do need to use ur toes to go forward and backward while dodging and counter punching, it’s way more fluid Uk,flat footed punches have power but bouncing and punching back on toes to flat footed will have fluidity
Hey bro, what country r u from? Maybe we can spar with each other or maybe even fight one day, when u and I become pro
I'm probably not gonna go pro, I'ma start a business and invest in real estate. I started at 14 so the other boxers who started earlier would have an advantage on me.
@@ghawkb36 come on man, canelo started his training at 13, the greatest Muhammad Ali at 12,heck Liston, Marciano in their late 20’s, and if u argue they were a genetic freak, well then Sugar Ray Robinson wasn’t much of a genetic freak, he started boxing at 14 too. There you go, so many countless examples. But at the end, it’s your life, would’ve been cool to meet u in the ring when u got good.
good stuff bruz
Did u check the soviet style bro? I think it would be helpful to u, just wanted to help, but at last it’s your choice
I checked it out, it looks pretty cool I've been trying to add in a lot more footwork and head movements.
Guy in black t shirt got good potential, if he uses the soviet style in boxing, he would do great, he got the physique and footwork for it, only problem is in many occasions he steps in or out on his heels, and now that’s ok for sometime but not in between the match pressure, u can get off balanced
Thanks for the advice, I'll search up what the Soviet style is.
@@ghawkb36 I would recommend this experienced dude, like he looks so drunk but in reality he is just the wisest sensei on the planet, lol, also watch Dimitri bivol fights, will help u in it.
Guy in the red t-shirt is mostly on his heels rather than being just flat footed or on toes, and if I’m right, that’s called being off balance bro, work on that pls, or a pressure fighter can keep moving on towards you and u won’t be able to do anything, but overall, good for a beginner and nice sparring for skill, keep up the good work
