My solar system installed by Abdullah is running in its 4th month. The update is as follows : 1. The structure has stood despite of high winds of upto 60 km/h. It also faced hail-storm twice. The panels have survived the beating and working well so far. 2. The company has replaced one of the two faulty batteries. Battery backup works well for about two hours, when fully charged. It supports lights, fans and essentials (pressure pump, automated gate). 3. Electricity generation was peaking close to 7 KWh in May with daily production of 50+ units. In June, peak has dropped to around 6 and daily production has remained under 50 units (even on sunny days after washing the panels). 4. Total electricity generated has been in excess of our consumption. The peak hour units are not adjusted in the bill. I am told that this adjustment of excess units takes place every quarter. I am hoping that this will be adjusted in the budget next month. I will keep you posted.

1. Today marks the completion of one-month of installation of 10Kv hybrid solar system by Abdullah Solar Energy. So far, my experience has been positive. They have been courteous and supportive. There are a few problems that I have faced which Abdullah Solar Energy is following and I hope the issue will be resolved soon. My overall experience (so far) can be summarized as following: 2. Installation of solar panels: Slight delay due to rains. The structure seems strong although it has not faced high speed gusts or winds so far. I will provide further feedback in 3,6- and 12-months feedback. 3. Electricity generation: The system became functional on 6th February 2022. I was able to monitor the live data generation by 23 February 2022. System has generated 789 kWh in the last 12 days. The weather has been overcast on many of these days. On one sunny day maximum production touched 7 Kv. One must take into consideration that the days are shorter in winter and hence production is also low. 4. Battery backup/ UPS: It is rare that we get "lights out" in the area where I live, but it did happen twice last week and so the system was tested. This was a bit disappointing that we were in total dark for some time. UPS did kick in but lasted mere 2 hours (with only two lights on and a water pressure pump which worked for only a few minutes while water was running). The point where internet router is located was not connected to the UPS, so we had no access to internet. Luckily, I was not amid a zoom lecture or meeting at both the times the light went out! 5. Tech support: I do understand that the company is busy with many projects that they are working on simultaneously. They do respond to phone calls, but support on-site could be further improved. I am waiting for the solution for short UPS battery life soon. I will keep the community posted with 3-, 6- and 12-month feedback.

I have recently sought help of Abdullah Solar for installation of 10 Kv hybrid solar system in Bahria Town Rawalpindi. The installation was done swiftly (given delay of a few days due to rain). I have yet to receive a bill of net metering. This, I am told may take upto 3 months. I will provide updated comments after 1, 3, 6 and 12 months of my customer experience, electricity generated and (potential) savings.
