hi guys I have question regarding entry requirements so I have done my bachelors in uk I have 2:1degree . I wanted to do mim in hec Paris in their website they have mentioned that no minimum gmat score is required for applying in that case will they consider my application if I get around 40-50% in gmat and also ive heard in the video of you saying that hec paris requires 700+ gmat score im bit confused about this so please help me with this

Put it another way. If they don't want to read then these universities, maybe all higher education, isn't for them. Other equally valid career paths are available.

Amazing. I love trying to engage my brain by dipping my little toe into theory sometimes but just the tip and only for a moment. It’s some creating twisting of the brain folds u gotta do to “understand” these things. the 2guys with a cigar lighter on either end of a moving train and one as an observer in the station analogy to get my head round the relative speed of light is cool. It’s a way we can kinda get why something acts as it does. I dunno. I was recently trying to understand how Einstein visualised mass and energy how mass moving at the speed of light has no mass cus it has no energy because in its frame of ref it’s not moving or something? So that u only imagine it has energy and therefore mass cus the energy is only inside the item not added from outside. ?? I dunno. Made my brain fold up a bit more I’m sure.

Do you think having a track record that shows an improvement in mathematics in ur undergraduate math programs ( getting that first class with good scores in math modules) and not doing particularly well in highschool maths puts you in a disadvantage that will lead to your application getting rejected from lse?

Great tips thanks Joe. I also advise students that applying early to a top university such as an MSc at LSE is key to success. Preparation and planning is key.

Hello, thank you for the insights, that was really helpful. I am very interested by the program, I have also been looking at the double degree X-HEC Data for Business. I find this program, alongside with International Finance at HEC very interesting and rewarding in the long run. I'd love to know about my chances : I hold a finance masters since 2019 with a 3.7 GPA from ISCAE (one of the leading business schools in Africa), I have a 5 years experience as HRBP in OCP SA (a leading company in the industry of fertilizers). I want to switch back to finance and I'd love to go for a very highly regarded diploma like International Finance, HEC. That would make my reconversion smoother and rewarding. What do you think would be an efficient study plan to make turn my ambition into reality? I'd love to add that I am very fond of the French culture, I have read many books of renowned French thinkers like Montaigne, Camus, Morin, etc.

I scored 615 on my first GMAT Focus attempt which is translating to 680. I am a BBA graduate and have scored an A+ in all my finance and math subjects. I will also have completed 2 years of experience in financial research and analysis at the time of submitting my application. Can you tell me how I can improve my chances of getting accepted. Also, is my GMAT score enough or do I have to retake it?
