Yes, the torch bracket that it came with had issues with staying perpendicular when changing consumables. So I machined this one that fits like a glove and doesn’t lose its calibration.

@@brandonmurphy4657 i know that all ready my grandpas 2003 yamaha 4 stroke 115. Last 20+ years b4 the oil seals gave out still running to this day! My dads 2008-09 yamaha still running sunk 4 times i got it running 5 times

I have the Same year Sea Chaser. My friend bought it new and sold it to me recently when he moved out of state. He has a Yamaha 115 2 stroke on it, which is nice, but it does drink plenty of fuel. Our friend with your version of the boat put (Sea Ranger 17) put a 90 Suzuki 4 stroke on his. It is not quite as fast, but it gave him better range on the boat (we both have saddle tanks in our boats). Things to consider. 4 strokes are heavier, but more efficient. Bigger the motor the more weight you have in the back. Reason I am looking at this Video, is because I am trying to offset some of the 115 HP motor weight with trim tabs (weight in back of boat does add some to slamming in rough seas). I do like having the bigger motor, but if you are looking for economy, a 90 hp is a good choice and a common size people go with. I think the smallest you would want to consider is 75 hp. BTW, we are fishing Puget sound and Washington coast and 20 to 40 miles off shore just for reference to what we are sizing our motors for. Best of luck if you purchase the sea ranger!

@@joeschafer1 thanks for the note. My plans are fishing the bay's most of time and crossing out for 5-10 mile range only occasionally. As you say 75-90 may be for me. I will want to run a kicker for trolling so gotta keep weight down.

Only that its getting small to camp on with my wife and 2 small kids =). If i was doing more offshore fishing i would want a smoother ride with a different hull style but everything has a tradeoff. For the PNW i don't think there's a better boat than the Arima Sea Ranger 19.

I ended up passing on it. The owner posted it for sale on Craigslist not to long after for 8700$ and i believe someone bought it. Hope they know what there getting in to.
