DTF from Ninja Transfers | Applying and Review | How To | Beginner Friendly
Hey Guys! Stefanie with Steffy Jewels, Where Crafters become Do-It-Yourselfers!
Here is another video and review for another DTF company @ninjatransfersDTF (ninjatransfers.com/)
If you saw my last video, I show you how to apply DTF transfer to your apparel from a local supplier here in my area but before them, there was Ninja Transfers.
Please note that I am not sponsor by this company but found out about them through another
TH-camr (@katrinasgracefulcreations3711 ) and I just had to give them a try. Let me just say this, I too, fell in love with their quality, delivery time, price and simplicity of use. If you don't happen to have a local supplier in your area, then definitely watch this video and give them a try.
What is DTF?
DTF or Direct To Film, is a technique where a design is printed directly to a film and then transfer to any apparel made of cotton, polyester or its blends and the best part, it can be any color! That's right, you are no longer limited to printing on white or a light color fabric and it prints out white ink!
For those who are familiar (or not) with sublimation printing and/or HTV (heat transfer vinyl), then you know that this is a game changer in the crafting community.

    I bought this product in the 16 oz size of each the resin and hardener. The resin is clear, but the hardener is camel color. When mixed together it never gets clear no matter how long i mix it. Wondering if it is just a bad batch. It does harden fine. Do you have any idea as to why this is.

    What has been your prolonged experience with you using Limino UV resin? I recently came across it and decided to try it up against a few other brands that I use and I was pleasantly surprised... If the gas is a lot better than most other products I've tried and is very very clear and cures very well, I was just wondering if it yellows as much as others overtime. I also use UV resin from let's resin and that stuff doesn't seem to Yellow at all... I have pieces made over a year ago that are still crystal clear, but it does not Degas very well and is very thick, it's great for doming by the microbubbles drive me crazy... I don't get this with limino...thoughts?

I tried epoxy resin so I have all cups measures gloves etc with that but couldn’t get it right all the time. Uv looks so much easier you pour it it and it sets under uv lamp? Pls can u tell me what u would recommend?? Xxxx

      @SteffyJewels 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh how exciting! There's no greater feeling when you get all your supplies and you're ready to finally tackle it after watching thousands of videos. For the pendant/tape project, unfortunately epoxy is not great for those small projects as you have to wait FOREVER for it to cured. For starters, you can use a resin by the company Limino ( I think that's how it's spelled) It was the first brand I started with and I had no issues with it. The label on the bottle will be green (unless they changed). Have fun with your very first project and don't get discouraged. As the ole wise woman would say, practice makes perfect and when all fails....drink wine...:)

    • @SteffyJewels
      @SteffyJewels 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I did. I think it's a good rule of thumb to bake polymer clay for an hour, no matter the brand. By placing something over your clay pieces like a small tin from a pie or piece of copy paper over it, you won't get direct heat on your clay (which can cause burn spots). As for Sculpey III, as I too have plenty of that so mix 1 part to 2 parts premo or any other clay that's a bit stronger. By gosh, I bought that clay so imma use it 🤪😆

I am one of the teachers that say not to use SculpeyIII for jewelry, for the exact reasons you pointed out, so was very pleased to see you land on the same conclusion.
