@@n0cturnalSFX recently in my sound design journey ive found themed sounds to be the king, for example if you were to play weapon sounds from quake 3, urbanterror, cod waw or bo1, i'd be able to tell you which game and which weapon they belong to, modern games try to adopt some level of realism and and lose identity in they sound.
@zmike9831 Yeah I get what you're saying. I think the sound design does vary on most new games but I personally feel like most of the time it's overlooked in many indie projects, leaving us only with AAA as examples.

Sounds are good but not really, sounds should match the Materials that the mag well, mag, and slide are made of.
I mean, I've taken some creative liberties, but without textures, I'm curious how you can see what type of materials these are made of. Also, the game has more of a low poly style so it's not showing some highly detailed, metal AK for example. It's more stylish, so I've got that route with the sounds also :)
@@n0cturnalSFX I mean like, just looking at the gun you can feel the material, or just what sounds fit the gun, for me (personally no offense) these do not fit the guns here

@@twisteddom Not sure what you mean about ripping paper as these are sounds from real guns. But yeah, everyone has different opinions on sounds, so I'll keep what you've said in mind for future projects :)

mainly to highlight the difference between how work typically looks in the viewport prior to being interpolated to higher frame-rates, and how adding crunchiness in the lower framerates contributes to the higher ones.
Yeah I mean i understand that but I meant for some reason this video has one of the 60fps clips at 30fps despite me using the 60fps clip and just duplicating the clip with sounds.
These are amazing. However, chambering the shotgun sounds a little bit too plasticy and could use some more metal clunkiness to it, I have a few shotguns (including a pump action) and the sound of it is very metallic.
